Chapter 115

Avoid me.

Connor's POV

I knocked once no thrice waiting for Elsa to open up but she didn't. I messed up. I even got Ryan angry. He hated when a man touched a woman and I did that, breaking Elsa's arm without thinking.

I should have controlled my anger, the guilt that Vanessa ended that way because of me was eating me up.

The door flung open revealing Elsa with a sheepish look, I had woken her up.

"Connor?" She looked surprised.

"Hi…um how are you feeling?" I pointed to the bandage on her arm.

My heart twisted, my wolf angry I was pained seeing her in that state. She wasn't a wolf it would take months for her to heal.

"Natasha applied something to ease the pain." She answered shyly.

"I'm…sorry.. i-" I didn't know where to start from.

Elsa was a nosy person but still doesn't justify my actions.

"Come in." She stepped away from the door.

I entered and stood not far from the door, she sat on the bed, her floral nightwear lifted up to her thigh. I looked away, my heart racing.

"Connor?" She called.

"Um.. it's just I came to apologize. I shouldn't have lashed out at you when you tried to talk to me earlier." I told her sincerely.

"It's okay we all have what we are facing." She sighed.

I bit my lips when I checked her out, the way she crossed her legs, her hair laid on her shoulder, the crystal light in the room made her skin glitter. I gulped and turned around to leave the room.

"Is something wrong?" She stood up.

"Once again I'm very sorry for what I did earlier.." I turned to face her. "It would be best if you don't get close to me." Her mouth parted when I said those words coldly.

I turned around and left the room, bumping into Natasha on my way. I bowed, greeted her and wanted to leave but she called me back.

"Connor." She blocked my path.

"Luna." My head was bowed.

"Are you ignoring me?"

I brought up my head and looked at her, her hands were folded and she was frowning. I sighed knowing the reason behind it.

"I'm not avoiding you Natasha." I uttered.

"Oh please! you've been acting all up since Vanessa was banished and you even hurt Elsa today and you know she was going to help me train." She said angrily, her eyes flared in disgust.

"It's not what you think…" I replied and she rolled my eyes.

"I didn't mean for everything to turn out this way, I couldn't talk to you because I feel guilty for asking you to spare Vanessa, it's not what you were thinking."

She lowered her hands processing my words before pulling me to a hug, catching me by surprise.

"Thank you, I was scared you hated me." She murmured in my back.

"Of course not!" I chuckled.

"Is Ryan asleep?" I asked her.

"No, he is studying." She replied.

I hadn't apologized to him for my actions, as the Beta of the pack it's my responsibility to put things in order not have stupid arguments.

Elsa's POV

If i should say I don't have feelings for the Beta then I would be a list, I've met guys or should I say wizards of all kinds but none have been able to make my heart flutter. I knew I did pass my boundaries by pressuring him to talk to me earlier, I was glad when he came to my room I thought it would be great opportunity to know him better and we could become close.

My heart broke when he threw those words at me.

'It would be best if you don't get close to me.'

Why doesn't he like me? It's not like I wasn't beautiful. I was even named after the lady honour because of my beauty and my skills.

Was it because I'm a witch?

"Tara!!" Lisa shoved a blue dress on my face, pulling me away from my thoughts.

I took the dress from her, my fingers trailed the strap in front of it.

"What's this for?" My eyes were still on the dress.

It looked like my size?

"We will be going clubbing!" She danced around and I gnawed at her.

"What!" My face heated and my arm aches when I try lifting it too much.

I had made a healing potion which helped in the healing process.

"C'mon dot give me that look." Lisa stomped on the floor playfully.

I blinked my eyes and went to the dress and back at Lisa, from what I heard clubs where youth do all kinds of shitty stuff. I shivered and threw the dress back to her.

There is no way I'm going with her!

"I can't, I have to train Lady Natasha." I stood up but she blocked my path.

"Please, just this once." She pouted, her eyes moist like that of a puppy.

I won't give in never!

There is no way I'm going clubbing with her.

"Fine!!" I groaned, she won.

"Yes!!" She jumped on me.

She was the counterpart of Alpha Ryan, jovial, stubborn, it was like she was trying to hide her problem behind those smiles.

"Umm.. the thing is I've never…gone clubbing before." I told Lisa and her mouth went wide.

"You say what now!!"

"Um…we aren't allowed to move freely…there…isn't anything like clubbing in the coven." I said in a timid voice.

"Oh . we've got.. a lot to change girl!" Lisa pulled me to sit.

I laughed at her reaction, it was something she found difficult to believe. I sighed deeply, I guess clubbing will relieve this heart aching tension I have.

"Is Natasha coming with us?" I asked Lisa who was now applying lipstick on my lips.

"That one…" She shook her head. "Her mate won't let her out of his sight."

That's true, I heard Alpha were possessive about their mates.

"So what are we going to be doing there?" I smiled sheepishly.

"We will be flirting with the hot dudes there!" She screeched and I gulped.

I don't think I like the sound of that!
