Chapter 86: Hashir

Chapter 86: Hashir
Marcus POV

Reaching the faraway lands of the forgotten, or as some call them the Dark lands, I could see many warriors patiently waiting for our arrival.
I was impatient as finally I was a mere step away to finally reunite with my beloved Olivia.
Soon as Damon has landed onto the land that was on the border of the Dark lands, I jumped off of his dragon’s back and went straight forward meeting the warriors.
Zen and Wyatt appeared as Azrael and Damon followed behind me. Dragon shifters were all back into their human forms, making it easier for all to communicate among themselves.
“There seems to be some kind of invisible barrier that is preventing us to cross over.” Wyatt said to us all, making me growl as my eyes went to the plain air before me.
“That is not truly surprising.” Azrael said, “After all it a land of darkness.”
Everyone around me was discussing strategy and what we could expect when we cross over, but all I could do was think about my mate, closing my eyes wishing to feel her one more time again.
I missed her so much that it hurts. The moment she was gone, I could no longer reach out to her through our bond, nor could I sense her in any way. She was gone, gone for far too long.
I froze, stopping my breathing when I felt something.
Focusing my attention towards the slight feeling that was barely noticeable as it was gently crawling through my body, like it was reaching for my heart.
The feeling was not repulsive, nor did it scare me in any way. Shadow’s head was up as he felt same thing I was feeling. He said to me, “Close your eyes and dive into the feeling.”
I did as he said, closing my eyes again, relaxing into the feeling when I felt it crawl deeper, faster until it reached into my heart and it was like a thunderbolt that woke me up. Woke up my senses.
“Marcus…”
A familiar female whisper sounded inside my head, making me to open my eyes and look around me. I could barely hear it, but the feelings that were mixing with my own I knew who they were from. My mate… Olivia.
I tried to reach into our bond and to mind link her, to tell her I am coming for her, but I couldn’t reach her.
I rushed towards the border, extending my hand, feeling the magic of the barrier as it shimmered before me. I pressed my hand into it, and could feel the potent power preventing me to pass through with my arm, making me feel frustrated so much to slam my fist into it only to do no damage to the barrier.
“We could all at once try to push on the barrier to create an opening large enough for us all to pass through.” Zen said, making us all agree to try it.
Everyone stood in front of the barrier, waiting for a signal to try to make a crack in it so we can get through.
I looked at them all, seeing them all prepared and ready as I prepared myself. Placing my hands on the barrier, I said, “Now!”
All pushed at the same time hard as they could, going towards the second option to try to break it down by force, slamming into it by fists or body.
Feeling frustrated as the barrier stood there intact, we went with the third option and used raw force, our animals.
Wolves, dragons, sabers, panthers, bears… every shifter creature was there to help us break through. I heard growls and roars sounding from all around me as loud thuds sounded from hard effects the raw force of their pure animal power made that.
I saw dragons slamming into the barrier; I heard a frustrated sounds when there was no luck on our side to show us that we were even close to succeeding.
I saw Damon spitting fire at the barrier but all it did was glimmer and stood there mocking at us.
Mage, wizards, and sorceress, and witches, they all tried one by one to use their magic powers and bring the barrier down.
Everyone stood back, silently watching when all mages, wizards, sorceress, and witches combined their powers together and tried to break it down that way, but there was no luck.
Feeling irritated, I roared loud into the sky, feeling rage boiling inside of me as I crashed my body into the barrier.
Olivia…
I could feel her faintly giving me hope that she was alive, making me sure that she was behind this barrier in those lands, waiting for me to come and save her.
I looked around and could see that everyone was exhausted, but I wasn’t giving up.
Azrael walked towards me as he sat down, silently looking at the barrier while Damon joined us.
After a few moments, Azrael took a deep breath and exhaled loudly, making Damon and I to look at him.
“I hoped we will not need her, but I guess we don’t have any other choice.” Azrael said, looking towards the land of darkness.
“Who are you talking about?” Damon asked him, while I silently listened to them speak to each other.
Azrael blew a breath, taking his head in his hands, pressing at his temples as he said, “You all know a story about the White Moon’s warriors, but few heard of the powerful white witch.” He said, taking a moment to breathe out once again, groaning at whatever thought he had before he continued, “I think we should seek her and ask her to help us.”
Hearing that there was a hope, I turned my head and looked at him, asking, “Who is she?”
Cursing under his breath, he finally answered, “Her name is Talia.”
This time I was the one to ask him the question, “Do you know where can we find her?”
Azrael nodded his head, answering, “Luckily I do, but it is difficult to get to her and can be dangerous.”
I stood up on my feet, determent to find this Talia and finally be able to reach my mate and get my revenge on Tyson.
“I don’t care is it dangerous or difficult, all I care about is to find her and bring her here to help us and to get Olivia.” I said to them as they followed my movements and stood up onto their feet.
“You are right.” Azrael said, placing a hand on my shoulder, making me look at him, “So let’s go then.” He said.
“Oh, like hell you two are going to get that woman without me.” Damon said as he walked passed us, leading the way.
Silently we followed when after a few steps he turned around and asked, “I would gladly lead, but I have no idea where to are we heading.”
Azrael laughed hearing Damon say that, and I had to admit even that made me to smile slightly.
“Well, if you are willing to fly us, we can reach there faster.” Azrael said to Damon, who grinned at that.
“Count on me, just direct me which way and we can go immediately.” Damon said and prepared to shift so we can go.
After Azrael instructed Damon on which way to go to, soon after we were already flying towards the Hashir home of Talia.
Sometime later, we have landed in the land close to Hashir, and started our journey walking through the thick jungle that was filled with many dangers, if it was to believe Azrael.
It was hard to walk through the jungle, having so many plants and branches, making our advances all the more harder for us.
Worst happened when we came across an Ogre and a Troll, that we had to fight with to be able to move further ahead.
Being all three tall, strong Alpha’s did us nothing when we got caught in what seemed to be alive vines that wrapped around our bodies, trying to choke us.
Using our abilities to shift and half shift, we managed to free ourselves and continue on with our journey.
We came to the bottom of a mountain, making us look up to it and see that there were dark stormy clouds surrounding the mountain, flashing lightning, making me think for a moment why another mountain again?
“We have to go up, pass the climate conditions, and reach the peak.” Azrael said as a rain started to fall down on us.
We climbed, fighting our way as strong winds were blowing at us, trying to blow us back down, but we firmly kept our feet on the ground and continue on.
Higher we got, worst the weather got. At first it was rain, and wind, then came ice rain drops with electric thunder, it was hard to climb or even to breathe but soon as we reached the top, there was summer, no rain, no snow, no ice, no thunder lightning, just sun, green grass, flowers and a little cottage in the middle of it, with a view of white clouds surrounding this little heaven.
