Chapter 85: One Pack
So, today’s the day they get to go and see the area that will be their new territory. When they got to the front of the palace, they were surrounded by very excited pups running around.
They were running around asking questions. Damien explained where he was taking us and how he was thinking of setting them up. They said that the males would run to the area in wolf form and the females would go by car taking the little ones. “We need to get the little ones in the car.” He said. “I was thinking maybe we could help get the kids buckled in their car seats and then I can take the guys in wolf form to the area.” Damien suggested. “Show you all the area around where you’ll be living and shortcuts between here and the castle.”
“What do you think Sugarbear?” Blasé asked.
“Sounds good and then y’all can show us all around.” Storm told him.
“We wanna go wit you daddy.” Rebel bounced on toes along with Ryder.
“Me twwoooooo.” River smiled.
“I don’t think you would want to go with us princess.” Marco said to her.
“But why?” She pouted jutting her lower lip out.
“Don’t do that sweetie.” He groaned. “We are going to run in our wolf form.” He hugged her. “You don’t like to run.” He chuckled, “and that’s what dad and I are gonna do.” He explained to her.
“If that’s all it is, we have a way that she can go with us. We have come up with harnesses that we use to carry them around.” Damien told them.
“What do you use?” Blasé asked. “We used a saddle that one of the three of us will wear so she can ride on us like a horse.”
“She really enjoys it.” Marco chuckled. “We also have two more in case the boys get tired or don’t feel like running anymore, which is almost never.”
“We use something similar.” Jyden said as his eyes glazed over. “Okay, Peter will bring the carriages, maybe we can take them all.”
“What exactly are they?” Storm asked.
“They’re like small carriages that horses pull but smaller, sturdier and very safe for us to pull the kids behind us.” Koltyn explained. “The straps are strong and hold them in even as we run at top speed.”
“Go ahead and have him bring them all, we can take the pups on a little adventure.” Jen said.
“Yeah. I think they’ll enjoy that.” Storm agreed. They waited for the carriages to arrive, Kydence, Dakota and the others joined them.
Reign decided to take them to the area that Shadow Mountain would be given to settle in. “Our three packs will be next to each other.”
“We will be in the middle, SilverHawk on the right and Shadow Mountain on the left.” Damien explained.
“Each of you will have an office in the palace in case you need to meet with someone there. You can set up your office however you want.” Reign told them. “Just let us know what you need or any changes you want to make, and we will make them happen.”
When the carriages arrived Jyden and Koltyn put them together and sized the little ones. Marco shifted and allowed Jyden to hook up the carriage. “Jax, you carry me wit dat?” River asked with a puzzled look. Jax nodded and looked over to Jyden.
Jyden nodded to him, “little nugget,” he said picking River up, “you’ve got nothing to be afraid of. I promise you will be very safe in this.” He assured her.
“We use them all the time with our pups to pull them around until they are ready to run.” Shadow said to her as he took her from Jyden and gently placed her in the carriage and buckled her in. Marco was working very hard to keep Jax from snapping at Jyden or Shadow for touching and holding his mate so close.
“Dis nice, Jaxy.” River smiled wide. Jax looked over his shoulders at his little mate and gave her a wolfy grin.
“Okay, are the rest of you ready to go?” Damien asked. “Alright, let’s go.” He said as he shifted along with Blasé and led them to their way to their new lands. He showed them all the best spots to hang out and took the little ones out to shift, play, and learn to hunt away from prying eyes. When they finally arrived at what would be the SilverHawk pack house, Silas shifted, started to unhook the carriages, and helped the three R’s outta their seats.
“Dat wuz fun!” River squealed.
“Can we do dat again?” Rebel and Ryder bounced around full of excitement.
“I’m sure we can arrange it.” Blasé laughed.
“Come on kids let’s look around.” Storm called out to them. “Please stay close and don’t run off to far.”
“Otway, mama.” They responded in unison. They took off running around. Thankfully Dillon and a few trusted warriors were quick to run after them.
“Not to worry Aunt Storm, we’ll keep an eye on them.” Dillon assured her.
“Thank you, sweetie.” She smiled.
“Now, as you can see,” Damien motioned to the area, “the palace is in the middle, and we would like to set up Shadow Mountain on the left and SilverHawk on the right or vice versa. We will leave that up to you."
“That sounds okay to me.” Kyde shrugged.
“Oh, one thing though,” Reign started, “Kyde, there is a wolf sanctuary on your side of the territory. I started it several years ago, we take in abused, lost, and abandoned wolves. We take care of them, nurse them back to health and give them a safe place to call home. You don’t hafta worry about them, they won’t cause any harm to anyone. The Alpha female has a few pups of her own. She had them after she was brought here. The one thing I will suggest is to keep an eye on the trips if they are outside, her pups like to play and will drag them into their playtime. Actually, she helps us patrol the territory.” She giggled.
“We can also mindlink with her.” Damien admitted.
“How is that possible?” Storm asked.
“Not sure but she can only answer yes or no questions so, make sure when you speak with her to make your questions either a simple yes or no.”
“Yep, will try to remember that.” Kruz scrunched his face.
“In other words, he will forget.” Keane laughed.
“It will take a little while to remember but she will let you know.” Damien laughed.
“So, what do you think so far?” Reign asked.
“It’s amazing.” Storm said looking around. “The homes look nice and cozy.”
“They are, there are many kinds to choose from. There’s 1 to 6 bedrooms with accompanying bathrooms, single floor, or multiple floors. We have condo’s, family homes, apartments for unmated, etc. We wanted to try and give as many options as possible.” Reign told them.
“I think the pack members will love all the options they have; this is way more than what we have.” Kyde chuckled.
“Ain’t that the truth.” Mimi frowned.
“Does this mean we get first choice as to where we want to live?” Milo asked.
“Of course, you would say that.” Mimi rolled her eyes. “You would ask that, wouldn’t you?” she huffed.
“What? It’s a fair question.” He mumbled.
“Yes, Milo you can see where you want to live.” Dakota said laughing.
“Thanks boss.” Milo smiled and then stuck his tongue out at his sister.
“I guess we better go with him, keep him outta trouble.” Babaloo said tugging his mate behind him.
As a few others separated from the rest Damien asked the Alpha’s and Luna’s to hang back. “Could the Alpha’s and Luna’s hang out a bit, there’s something I want to run by all of you.”
“So, what’s up King D?” Kruz asked “Owie! What was that for?” he whined.
“Really? King D?” Keane asked shaking her head and rubbing her forehead. “I am so sorry for this one. He’s an idiot.” She apologized.
“Nah, it’s okay. I kinda like King D.” Damien laughed. “Anywho, the reason I asked to speak with you is because it was suggested that maybe we should think about coming up with one name for all three of our packs. It would show that all three of our packs are working as one and that we are ONE pack.” Damien suggested what his dad suggested.
They all looked at each other in thought, eyes were glazed over, each couple was discussing the suggestion. “Who suggested this to you?” Reign asked.
“It was dad, he said he’s just the advisor and that I should be the one to suggest the change.” He chuckled.
“I guess just wants to stay being the scenes, huh?” Reign giggled.
“We think it’s a great idea.” Blasé said.
“So do we.” Kydence agreed.
“Now the only thing we need to do is come up with a pack name.” Reign smiles.
“Let’s each think and come up with several choices and then meet up and see if we can come up with a good strong pack name.” Damien said clapping his hands.
“I guess I need to let the movers know where to bring everything to this part of the territory." Dakota said, taking out his phone.
