Chapter 83: The Big Bad She-Alpha

Chapter 83: The Big Bad She-Alpha
The Shadow Mountain pack will be like human law enforcement, they will enforce our laws and investigate crimes and if they must, they will come to the aid and rescue of those in need. Packs will continue to handle disputes among their members but if those issues affect our species’ safety or that of humans then they will step in.

There will be those who will want to bring us and our kind down, be it our own kind or human hunters that want to be in control or end our kind.” Damien finished.

“Your Majesty if I may,” Kydence asked, and Damien nodded. “I am Alpha Kydence Diamond Shadow-BlackPaw. I, along with my mate Alpha Dakota Diesel BlackPaw and our Shadow Guards will be here to help bring some sort of stability to our kind. We will also see that in our future there will be Shadows in every pack to train and protect you and your families. We will visit packs around the country and the world on a regular basis so that we can not only make sure the packs are in good health but to also sense any new, if any, Shadows have been born. My brothers, sister and I are able to sense new Shadows before they even know they are Shadows. All new Shadows will remain with their parents in their home pack, but they will be asked to move here so that they can begin their training when they turn sixteen, when their shadow wolf fully emerges. Until then, they will train with whoever their resident Shadow is. They will train with our Shadows, and we would also want them to train with our Shadows and with the members from our other pack members.” She explained.

“With new people, new responsibilities will also arise. All three packs will be required to train together, training schedules will be set up and will be posted in the next couple of weeks. For now, things will remain the same.” Damien announced.

“Anyone have any questions?” Blasé asked looking around. “Alright then, King Damien, if you don’t mind, let the party begin.”

Damien looked around. “Let the celebration begin!” He bellowed.

Everyone cheered and started mingling with other pack members. Damien and Reign walked around with the pups tied to their bodies. They were using baby slings to carry them around, since their little mates were safely with their parents, Rebel and Ryder were running around with their uncles following behind. Marco and Blasé carefully watched over the boys, River was with her mom and aunts. She loved the attention.

They gathered for their meal; they enjoyed talking and meeting with the members of their allied packs.

“You know your Majesty,” his dad teased.

“Really dad?” Damien glared at his dad.

“It’s not a lie.” His dad chuckled. Damien laughed along with his dad. “I’ve been thinking.” His dad continued.

“Oh Goddess, you thinking is always dangerous.” Damien chuckled.

“Hahaha, your Majesty.” Dad shot back. “I was thinking that maybe you and Reign should consider a pack name change.” Damien furrowed his brow at his dad and motioned for him to continue. “Well, each pack can keep their own name to identify each section, but the pack as a whole should maybe have one name.” He suggested.

“That sounds like an idea, you should make that suggestion when we all meet up tomorrow.” Damien told his dad.

“Nope, that’s your job. I give the advice, and you present it to the others.” His dad chuckled.

“You’re just a big chicken.” Damien snickered, “Are you afraid of the Shadow Alpha female?”

His dad spluttered out his drink, “I am NOT!” he protested.

“She’s a very nice person, dad.” Damien assured.

“Who’s a very nice person and who’s dad afraid of?” Reign asked, she was carrying little Princess Aspyn.

“Hey big girl,” Damien cooed at his daughter and took her from her mother’s arms. Reign looked at him. “What?”

“Who’s dad afraid of? Dad’s not afraid of anything or anyone.” She said.

“See, even your beautiful mate knows I’m not afraid of anyone or anything.” He nodded his head at his son.

“He’s afraid of Alpha Kydence.” He snickered.

“Who’s afraid of me?” Kyde asked walking up behind them.

“Aaaahhhh...” his dad yelped out holding his hand over his heart.

“Ya see, scared.” Damein motioned as he stifled a laugh.

“Oh my, don’t sneak up on a ole man my dear.” He said, after his racing heart calmed down.

Kyde slightly giggled, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” She apologized, holding her hand out to help him up.

Damien couldn’t help but laugh. His dad just glared at him. “Sorry but you’re being ridiculous.” Reign and Kyde just looked at each other. “Dad, for some reason, is afraid of Alpha Kydence.”

Kyde’s eyes widened, she held her hand out reaching for Damien’s dad, If I have done something to frighten you, I am sorry.” She told him, squeezing his hand.

“My dear, no need to apologize.” He assured. “My idiot of a son misunderstood me.” He raised a brow at Damien. “I don’t fear you; I respect what you and your kind can do and what you have done for our kind. It’s not fear, it’s respect.”

“Oh.” Kyde said.

Reign looked at her mate. “You’re such an idiot.” She sighed. She looked at Aspyn, “yes, daddy is big ole idiot, isn’t he?” She cooed.

“What?! The way dad was reacting made it seem like he was scared.” Damien admitted. “I was wrong.” He whispered the last word. If they hadn’t been werewolves, no one would’ve heard what he said but they are werewolves, so they heard what he said.

“Oh, that must’ve been like castor oil going down. Admitting you were WRONG.” Reign chuckled.

Kyde chuckled, “it’s okay. It was a misunderstanding.” She said.

“I was just surprised to find out that more Shadow’s still existed.” He admitted. “The only Shadow’s we’ve met are our very own Collins brothers. I did everything I could to protect them until they were of age. Shadow still had the need to protect and care for the twins once we adopted them. His instinct to protect was always there.” He explained.

“Do you know anything about their parents or where they came from, what pack they were born in?” Kyde asked.

“No, I was hoping you’d be able to shed some light on their situation.” He sighed.

“I think once we get settle, we can sit down with my dad and uncle to see if maybe they remember anything or know where to start.” She told them.
“That would be great, but Spyder has already said that it doesn’t matter to him, but I think it will do wonders for them to find out the truth about where they come from.” Reign said.

“Okay, I will go ahead and start asking questions. Would you happen to have any kinda medical records or anything that may help us?” Kyde asked.

“Yeah, actually, we do. I’ll have my sister send over copies of their records.” Damien’s dad stated. “My sister is the pack doctor.”

“Oh, okay. Thanks. Whatever information you can provide to hopefully help us find out who their family is.”
“You should know that they have Alpha blood.” Reign mentioned.

“Really?! That is interesting and hopefully will be a big lead in helping us find out who they are and where they come from.” Kyde stated.
