60| ERON'S WILL

"Unfortunately not. Now, if you would excuse me, Eron." Frema pushed past a fuming Eron and was marching towards the entrance until Kayla blocked her.

"Come on, why are you so mad? I promise I have something you'd be interested in. Don't you want to see if your fiance is truly lying, or telling the truth?" Kayla queried in a sickly, sweet tone. Frema glared at her for seconds before shoving her aside and storming off. Titi grasped her hand and pulled her back. Kayla then shoved the phone in her line of vision and the first thing that Frema saw was Eron, eating the life out of Kayla's fake lips. They looked so sensual together, Frema wanted to throw up. She hated herself even more at that moment, for being so blind in love. Obviously, that was the kind of sex life he wanted, and not the amateur positions she engaged him with.

"I get it. Y'all had sex. Can I leave now?" She asked, now wishing she had allowed Riley to come with.

"No, we didn't just have sex. We made another baby. I mean, isn't that the cutest thing?" She looked at both Eron and Frema's faces with a big, mocking smile on her face. "There's really no need to leave him, though. You were already such a good stepmom to my girl, Titi. You can do it again, I believe in you." She gushed.

"Not interested, thanks." Frema finished and began to leave with that.

"Too bad, then. I'll be honoured to replace you." She heard Kayla say as she walked away.

The other suitcases were carried by some servants and she drove as fast as she could from his mansion, afraid that if she wasn't fast enough, she might go back and do something she would forever regret.

_________

Four days after, Frema concluded payment for a new house and moved in with her twin boys.

"Momma, when is daddy moving in?" Josh asked. Frema busied herself with the lunch she was making, answering coolly,

"He won't be moving in." She responded.

"Why?" Josh asked again, sitting up straight on the kitchen stool. Drake also stared wide-eyed at his mother, while his mouth was full with vanilla cookies.

"He... He did a bad thing, okay? And because of that, you will not be seeing him again." Frema finished, chopping the onion on the board with a little too much strength. Josh frowned.

"I want to see my dad." He spoke calmly.

"No." Frema replied, still not turning to him.

"I want my dad. I don't want to be here anymore." Josh went on and Frema turned to him sharply.

"You want to live with him? Fine. Go. Get out and live with him, I don't care. Drake, you wanna go too?" Drake shook his head no, immediately. "Because I don't mind dropping you two off with him and letting y'all become traitors to me already. We survived without him for five years, so stop acting like you cannot live without him, all off a sudden." She barked out in anger and the boys only stared at her for a few seconds before getting off their chairs and going to wrap their little arms around her. She burst out crying now, unable to hold it in any longer.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean anything I said... I'm sorry." She sobbed into Josh's shirt. He rubbed her back innocently and kissed her forehead, in response.

"I don't want daddy if you don't want him, momma. I want only you." He assured her after a while, and Drake just stretched his hand towards a piece of grilled chicken on a plate which lay on the counter. He stuffed the protein in his mouth and chewed whilst hugging Frema, causing Josh to glare at him. Frema laughed when she noticed the exchange between the boys and then finally pulled away from the embrace.

"Drake, you eat too much." She chided, pinching his cheek subtly as she stood up from her scrouched position. He blushed and kept chewing.

"One day, you'll get a fatter stomach than Santa himself." Josh complained.

"Yeah, whatever. At least I won't be lanky like you are." Drake shot back with a small smile which contrasted Josh's expressionless face. It was true, though—the twins had begun to look different where their body weight was concerned. Josh was a bit on the lanky side, while Drake was nearing the chubby scale. Their faces remained same, as identical as ever, but the weight difference easily told them apart.

"Alright, that's enough now. I'll soon wrap up with this. You two can go play somewhere else and let me concentrate." She said and they did as told.

Lunch—which constituted of a chicken burrito bowl with rice and beans, was ready in an hour and as they ate, Frema's phone beeped twice. Messages from an unknown number. She decided to look at it later, when she was done clearing the dishes and putting everything in order.

The time finally came and Frema sat on her Queen sized bed, opened the message and began to read through. At first, she could not understand the gibberish written on the document before her but after thorough checking, she saw what it was about. Eron had willed a chunk of her father's money to Titi, his daughter. Her mouth dropped further when she opened the next message. He had also willed another part to Kayla.

She knew his signature too well at that point to know that the document wasn't fake. Her lips quivered and her eyes brimmed with tears as she stared on at the glaring betrayal. How would he explain this one now?

Her ringtone blared loudly and she stared at the caller ID with blurry vision from the tears. Riley's name popped up on the screen and she picked up only to hear,

"Girl, what the fuck? That dude willed your dad's shit to his sidepiece? And why the hell is that bitch sending me messages?"
