“No!!!” Beta Lexus jumped at Alpha Daedos wolf before it could harm former Beta Sandro. Beta Lexus hugged Alpha Daedos’ wolf so tight. “Run, father!” he shouted at former Beta Sandro as he kept his tight hug on the Alpha’s wolf.
Former Beta Sandro did not move, instead, he stayed kneeling, and with a bowed head.
“Lexus, I deserve to be punished. If death is the punishment for my gross wrongdoing, I am ready to die for it. Let the Alpha kill me now, you will help me even more as my conscience will not suffer further. Every day, my conscience is haunting me and I cannot take it anymore,” former Beta Sandro muttered in deep sorrow while the tears that he was not able to control fell on the floor.
“But father, I cannot just see you die like that. You may not be my real father, but you treated me like your real son. I cannot forget that. Please get out of here before it is too late. Get out, father, please. Run if you can, the door is open,” Beta Lexus said to his known father in a begging voice. He needs to save him from Alpha Daedos. He was sure that the Alpha was too determined to kill his former Beta who betrayed him to the maximum peak of betrayal that a man, more so, a friend could do.
But former Beta Sandro did not move still. He stayed kneeling on the floor, ready for his death. He looked up slowly to Beta Lexus and shook his head. "I am sorry, Lexus. I hope you can find in your heart your forgiveness, although I do not deserve it," he said with a begging look before he bowed his head again.
In one strong wriggling, the wolf of Alpha Daedos was able to get away from Beta Lexus' arms. In a flash, Beta Lexus saw the Alpha’s wolf jump onto the kneeling former Beta Sandro and his fangs sank into the neck of the kneeling blind man.
Beta Lexus' eyes grew wide as he screamed at the top of his lungs. “No, Alpha, no!!!”
One moment and Beta Lexus saw the bloody body of his known father lying on the floor, almost lifeless. He kneeled beside him and gathered his bloody body into his arms, while tears flowed unstopping from his eyes. He sobbed as he looked at the man who treated him well as a son for long years
"Father, I will bring you to the hospital, please hold on," Lexus said in an almost whispering manner.
Former Beta Sandro tried to shake his head and reached for Beta Lexus' hand. "I... am ... sorry," he said in a very low voice before he finally took his last breath.
Beta Lexus wept for the loss of his known father. He might not be his real father, yet indeed, he cannot say that he did not treat him well as a son. Even former Beta Sandro's wife loved him like her real son. Their sins are deep and unforgivable but deep inside Beta Lexus' heart, he found a reason to forgive them.
Alpha Daedos howled loudly and violently, and then he shifted into his human form. Beta Lexus looked at the Alpha, who he never even thought to be his real father. His tears were still streaming down his cheeks. He does not care about crying, he did not consider it as his weakness.
Alpha Daedos grabbed his black coat hanging on the corner and wore it. Thereafter, his eyes flew to Beta Lexus' weeping form and then to his former Beta, who was already lying on the floor, lifeless. His jaw trembled as he controlled himself from regretting what he did. Former Beta Sandro was like a brother to him, but anger overwhelmed him, more so his wolf. What former Beta Sandro and his wife have done in the past was unforgivable for him.

"Alpha Daedos," Beta Lexus muttered. He wanted to say something but the Alpha interrupted him.
"Father... You call me, Father, Lexus. You are my son," Alpha Daedos said while looking at Beta Lexus with a mixture of emotions.
Beta Lexus nodded but his eyes were hooded with deep sadness. "Former Beta Sandro treated me well like his real son. Yes, I hate him for what he and his wife did, but knowing that they loved me like their real son, suppressed my anger and made me forgive them. Father, why did you not give him the chance to live?"
Alpha Daedos stiffened for a while, while his eyes were fixed on Beta Lexus. A few moments after, he broke his silence. "He deserved death. He did not only break the law but more so, he betrayed me and made a fool out of me for a long time. Worst, he deprived me and your mother to nurture you as our son, since your birth. He deprived us of the joy of having you. He deprived you of experiencing a better life, which I have given to Drew instead. He deserved to die, Lexus!"
The rage that was coming from all the senses of Alpha Daedos was evident. His fists clenched and his eyes emitted fire.
Beta Lexus fell silent. He cannot question what Alpha Daedos felt, for indeed what former Beta Sandro and his wife did to his real family was unforgivable under their laws and within his real father's heart. A deep breath loosens out from his lungs and onto his nostrils. He slowly stood up and approached Alpha Daedos.
"Father, we can still recover the time that we have lost by making the most out of the time from now on and forward," Beta Lexus stated with a forced smile on his lips. He looked at Alpha Daedos with grief in his eyes, yet a bit of hope glistening in them.
Alpha Daedos nodded and extended his hands, placing them on Beta Lexus' shoulders. '"Yes, Lexus my son. And the first thing that I wish to do is to give you what you deserve. You are not supposed to be a Beta, but an Alpha."
