The word “liar” echoed all over the place. They were all startled that everyone was in their dead silence thereafter.
Drew instantaneously glared at the woman who stood tall and proud, unfazed by all of the astonished looks showered on her by almost everyone in the meeting.
“I only have one mate, and it is not you, Drew. Why can’t you accept it? My heart never beats for you, it only beats for one person and it is Lexus. The one I was mated to and the one whom I accepted to mark me. I am a marked she-wolf already and that you cannot change anymore.” It was Daffodil who suddenly stood up as she cannot take the arrogance and lie of Drew, anymore.
Hushing around can be heard while Alpha Daedos kept his silence. He waited for his son, Drew to defend himself and take a better stand.
Drew’s eyes squinted in anger as he attacked Lexus beside Daffodil in a swift motion. Lexus received in surprise the hard blow released by Lexus on his face. Screams can be heard on the premises and some warriors tried to approach Drew and Lexus to stop them from fighting but Alpha Daedos shouted.
”Let them fight! Drew, I will give you what you desire. If you want to have a fight with Lexus, so be it. Fight my son Lexus!” Alpha Daedos ordered and everyone was shocked while watching Drew and Lexus made their fighting stands.
Daffodil looked at Lexus and nodded. She is confident that Lexus can beat Drew so easily, even if he is a Beta and the latter is the son of an Alpha and soon-to-be Alpha too.
Drew once again attacked Lexus, this time with a flying kick aiming for Lexus's neck. But Lexus was quick enough to lower down his body and then swept Drew’s right foot the moment it touched the ground. Instantly, Drew was outbalanced and fell to the floor. Lexus did not give Drew any chance to stand up when he pinned him down to the ground and showered his face with successive punches.
When Lexus moved away from him, Drew’s face can be seen to be spurting with blood, and his eyes were almost closed because of injury. But Drew dare not surrendered so easily. He stood up slowly while Lexus stood in a distance, still giving him the chance to redeem himself. He ran toward Lexus aimlessly and the latter in one swift motion gave released a powerful scorpion kick hitting the chin and the head of Drew, and before Drew could even fall down again, Lexus released a high roundhouse kick that hit the neck part of Drew.
Drew once again fell to the ground, feeling too dizzy already. “You son of bitch, Lexus! You are just a Beta!” he shouted and tried to stand up again.
Lexus just looked at Drew fiercely and let him stand. He even waited for him to attack him again, but before Drew could move again, someone walked toward him as if clinging to his wooden cane to lead him correctly to Drew’s place. The man stopped when one of his arms felt Drew’s body already. He then reached out, let his cane to fell down, and then hugged Drew tightly. Everyone fell into silence thinking that the man might have mistaken Drew for Lexus because of his failing eyesight.
“Drew, my son, it is enough. You cannot win against Lexus who has the real Alpha’s blood. The blood that runs in your veins is Beta’s blood and not Alpha’s blood. I am sorry.” The man who interrupted was the former Beta, Beta Sandro, the known father of Beta Lexus. His voice was low and shaking but it was like a bomb to Drew who immediately pushed the man aside.

“You mistook me for your Son, former Beta Sandro. I am not your son. Lexus is your son. I thought it is your eyes that are failing already, I never thought that your mind seemed to be failing too,” Drew said in a hissing tone as he looked at Lexus with fire in his eyes.
Alpha Daedos at that moment was furrowing while Lexus immediately walked to the side of former Beta Sandro and assisted him. “Father, I am your son, Lexus, not Drew,” he whispered pitying his known father but Beta Sandro shook his head and this time his voice was shaking hard.
“You are not my son, Lexus; Drew is my son. Telling this I know, will result in my execution but I cannot hold the truth anymore. My conscience is killing me already.” Beta Sandro started to fall down sobbing as he tries to find in his blurry eyes the form of Alpha Daedos. “Alpha Daedos, I am ready to die now. Drew is my son and Lexus is your son,” he added that made the whole premises turn into complete silence. Some were stunned and some were in doubt if the announcement made by the former Beta was true or if he just made a lie to protect Lexus.
Alpha Daedos, who just recovered from shock walked toward former Beta Sandro and held the old man’s shoulders with his hands. “Beta Sandro, I cannot comprehend what you just said. If you just want to protect Lexus, you do not need to create a story.”
Former Beta Sandro shook his head and tears started to fall from his eyes, which has been deprived already to see clearly. “I am not lying Alpha Daedos, I kept this secret for a long time. Drew is my real son and not Lexus. Lexus is your son. Can’t you see the proofs? Lexus’ strength is comparable to you or can even surpass you and his features resemble you and the late Luna. Look at him so keenly and look at Drew so keenly too and you will know that what I was saying was true.” Former Beta Sandro’s voice was low and shaking but his every word was too clear in the ears of all the werewolves around him.
Alpha Daedos’ expression was a mixture of anger and confusion.
