“Alpha Daedos, maybe I need to excuse myself first from here. Captain Baldo might need some privacy with you,” Beta Lexus said when he noticed the hesitancy of Trixie’s brother. He turned his back in an attempt to get out of the Alpha's office already.
But, Captain Baldo shook his head as he looked at Beta Lexus. “It is alright Beta Lexus, you may stay. Anyway, you also need to know this.”
“Go on then, Captain Baldo. Tell me your concerns,” Alpha Daedos said as he tried to encourage Captain Baldo to speak what is in his mind while motioning to Beta Lexus to stay inside his office.
Captain Baldo cleared his throat first before he finally spoke. “Alpha Daedos, I just would like to relay to you what I and my comrades saw in the forest. I cannot take my silence on this.”
Alpha Daedos’ forehead furrowed. “Tell me then about it, Captain Baldo.”
“Our soon-to-be Alpha Drew and my sister, Trixie are mates. We saw their wolves mating in the forest just a while ago and we also heard Drew admit that Trixie is his mate but unfortunately he told my sister that he refused to respect the sanctity of their mate bond,” Captain Baldo said with his fists curling in disgust.
Alpha Daedos stiffen while Beta Lexus suddenly looked at Captain Baldo. Both the men did not speak for a while.
After a while, it was Alpha Daedos who broke their silence. “I know and your father knew about that and we are already doing our best to solve it.”
“My sister is a decent woman. She is not a whore, Alpha Daedos that Drew can take and dispatch thereafter like a rug. If he will continue to do this, I and our other warriors will come to the Council of Elders to complain about him and we will question his appointment as the next Alpha for an act against moral turpitude,” Captain Baldo said in a low yet determined voice.
“I understand your sentiments, Captain Baldo. Be rest assured that your sister as my son’s mate will be recognized as such,” wanting to assure the loyal Gamma Captain, Alpha Daedos promised.
“Thank you, Alpha Daedos,” he bowed his head a bit and then looked at Beta Lexus. “And, Beta Lexus I am convinced that you are the true mate of the Golden She-wolf,” Captain Baldo said before he excused himself politely from the Alpha and Beta.
When Captain Baldo closed the door of Alpha Daedos’ office, the Alpha and the Beta fell silent.
After a while, Alpha Daedos massaged his forehead as if he was having a headache. "Beta Lexus, tell me how do you want to settle the matter about the golden she-wolf with Drew?" after a while he said as if he has nothing to say anymore.
"I am willing to face Drew in whatever match, fight or talk just to settle the matter, Alpha Daedos," Beta Lexus replied with conviction. "Although the fact is, there is nothing to fight or talk at because it is already so obvious; Daffodil is my mate and Trixie is Drew's mate," he added, with sadness on his tone.

A day after Alpha Daedos and Beta Lexus talked about the matter concerning the Golden She-wolf, he then called on a general assembly for everyone's head of the family to attend. He held it at their training field because it is the biggest area where to accommodate all the attendees. Beta Lexus, the Gamma, and his son, Trixie, Daffodil, and Drew were also required to attend the General Assembly.
"Ladies and Gents, I called you for this special General Assembly because I will be announcing a very crucial matter that would definitely have a great impact on our pack." Alpha Daedos said as he started and opened the meeting.
Everyone has been attentive and all ears and eyes to their Alpha.
Seeing the attentiveness of his pack members, Alpha Daedos then continued his talk. "You know very well that just in a month, I will be transferring my Alpha's post to my only son, Drew. And with that, we all expect him to be a strong Alpha, most probably stronger than me. In his aim of becoming the strongest Alpha as a way of protecting our pack, he has been consistent in his search for the last breed of the Golden Wolves. Finally, we found the missing Golden She-wolf. However, it happened that the Golden She-wolf is the mate of our Beta and not by our soon-to-be- new Alpha."
Hush, hush can be heard from the pack members as they have some knowledge of what really happened. Although, they are expecting that the Golden She-wolf will be the Luna of their pack and hence, should be married to the next-in-line Alpha.
"Quite everyone, and listen." Alpha Daedos reprimanded his pack members. "Listen everyone. My next announcement will be so important for your to all know. Just recently, our next-in-line Alpha found his mate; a mate who can be considered as a strong she-wolf too as she came from a strong clan too. The clan of our beloved Gamma."
Surprised can be seen in the expressions of the pack members in the meeting. "Who, Alpha Daedos?" Some of the meeting attendees asked almost at the same time.
"The only daughter of our wise Gamma General, Trixie. Your next Luna would be Trixie after the marking and the wedding ceremony, which will be held during the appointment of my son as the new Alpha of our pack." Alpha Daedos' words have been firm and clear.
Drew stood up with a fire in his eyes. "No! My future Luna is the Golden She-wolf. Daffodil is my mate!" he shouted with desperation and the whole meeting attendees were all in further shock.
"Liar!" a loud scream suddenly was heard all over the training field, and everyone in the meeting was all eyes on the one who just screamed the word, "Liar."
