“What happened Lexus? Where are you?” Daffodil whispered trying to mindlink him.
Lexus who was crawling went to the big blue mansion which Daffodil said as the Alpha’s house suddenly heard Daffodil’s voice ringing in his mind.
“Nearby Sweetheart, stay still, I will come and get you,” Lexus said, mind linking back Daffodil.
Daffodil’s heart was filled with hope when Lexus’ message reached her mind. “I will wait Lexus, take care. I love you,” she minds linked him back.
Lexus crawled fast this time avoiding that the spotlight dancing around the premises would not hit his frame, otherwise he is sure, he will be caught. He was nearby already to the Alpha’s house when suddenly four pairs of feet surrounded him. Unable to act immediately, Lexus suddenly felt kicks hitting him for several times. He tried to roll over away to have the opportunity to stand up and fight. But it was useless, another set of feet was on the ground and when he looked up, he saw the powerful Alpha of the Black Forest Pack smirking at him.
Immediately, Lexus has been grabbed by the Alpha in his neck, forcing him to stand. “Ahh, the mighty Beta of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack. Where is your troop Beta? Did they retreat already? You think you can beat us alone and save the Golden She-Wolf and give her as a gift to your upcoming Alpha?” Then Alpha Herboo’s laughter filled the premises of his pack’s territory.
Before Lexus could move, Alpha Herboo gave him a hard punch in his face that almost shook Lexus' whole body. But to Alpha Herboo’s amazement, Lexus struck back with the side of his palm striking like a knife his neck.
Alpha Herboo coughed gasping for breath. He felt the strength of the Beta of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack and this gave him confusion. As a Beta, he cannot have such strength as equal to him or more powerful than his.
All of the surrounding soldiers or warriors of the Black Forest Pack simultaneously attacked Lexus but before they could touch Lexus, the latter made a three hundred sixty degree roundhouse kick hitting each of them and sent them flying into the air.
Alpha Herboo was again shocked, “How come a mere Beta could have that kind of speed and strength?” he thought looking at Lexus so intensely. He then drew his silver dagger from its holster beside his hips and attacked Lexus,
When Lexus saw the swift movement of the Alpha of the Black Forest Pack, like a flash, he lowered down his body and side swift the legs of the attacking Alpha, making him fell to the ground.
However, before Lexus could move again, a heavy net-like metal has been thrown into him by one of the soldiers of the Black Forest Pack and thereafter he felt consecutive kicks and like a hard metal that hit him several times. Lexus’ sight suddenly became blurry until darkness envelopes him.

Inside the big blue mansion, Daffodil’s heart was beating wildly as her strong hearing sense could hear the fight happening outside nearby the Alpha’s house. “Lexus, Sweetheart, are you alright?” she tried to mindlink him again but he never answered back.
Lexus was already lying on the ground almost lifeless.
“Tied his feet and hands and hang him upside down in that big tree!” Alpha Herboo commanded his soldiers, and immediately two of his men did what their Alpha had ordered them to do.
Such loud voice of Alpha Herboo has been heard by Daffodil and her heart once again raced like as if horses are running therein. She suddenly felt unable to breathe. Clutching her heart, tears suddenly welled up from her eyes. “Lexus,” she whispered.
After a while, Daffodil heard the drastic opening of the door of the room she was into and the face of the Alpha of the Black Forest Pack with such so dark expression came in followed by three of his men.
“What are we going to do with the golden she-wolf Alpha?” asked one of the warriors.
“Drag her out and show her what we got outside.” Alpha Herboo said eyeing Daffodil with such squinting, stern look.
Daffodil has been dragged by the two warriors out of the room and in the Alpha’s house and was brought in front of a big tree where she saw the hanging body of Lexus, which seemed to be lifeless already.
Daffodil was not able to control it as she ran and screamed, “Lexus!!!” but she could not reach his body. It has been hanged in a higher position that even if she will jump, she cannot be able to reach him.
“Oh God Lexus,” Daffodil said as her cries continued.
“So, Golden She-Wolf, I could feel how important to you the Beta of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack is. Was he the man who marked and mated with you?” Alpha Herboo was already beside Daffodil, tightly holding her right arm.
