Chapter 80:
Alpha Silas’ pov.
Axel smiled victoriously as he watched Kaya being dragged away by his men. I don't care about Kaya, I have never cared about her or her child, but why do I feel so sad watching her being taken away?
The fact that I was helpless made the feeling even worse. Watching Myers on his knees, the guards beating him with their weapons while he spewed out blood made me realize that everything was ruined.
I looked around me, at my soldiers and subjects, lying dead and the feeling of defeat dawned on me. There was nothing I could do at this point, I was defenseless and hopeless.
“Oh Silas! You cannot imagine the immense joy I feel, watching you crumble in front of me. It is a sight that I have been yearning to see for the past seven years!” Axel laughed, walking closer to me. He placed his sword under my chin, and I my breath siezed.
“There's nothing you can do to save yourself now.. isn't it better to die than to face the humiliation?” He asked, corking his head to the side.
“You will pay for this Axel.” I groaned.
“Oh please! Stop threatening me, I've had enough of it already! You are nothing but a failure and that's what you'll continue to be, you can't hurt me even if you try. I am no longer the scared boy you banished.” Axel snapped, his eyes carrying a fury that I have never seen before.
“I don't want to kill you Silas, if I wanted to, I would have done that by now.” He took back his sword, putting it back in the sheath. I was confused, wasn't his goal to kill me? So why was he suddenly having a change of heart?
“Now don't get ahead of yourself, I haven't had a change of heart and that won't ever happen. I just..” he stepped back, rubbing his beard.
“I just want to watch you have a slow, painful death. You don't deserve such an easy death.” He laughed and I fumed, my eyes turning a darker shade as Sin fought me to be released.
“Let me out! Let me tear this bastard to shreds!” Sin growled loudly, trying to free himself but I held him back. I can't release him, he's the reason for all these problems in the first place.
“Take him away!” Axel ordered and the guards quickly grabbed my arms, trying to force me away but he ordered them to stop.
“Prepare a cage, keep it in the throne room, and put him there. I want him to see me assume the throne that he holds so dear!”
“Don't you fucking dare! Don't you dare! Axel!!” I tried to attack him but I received a hit on the head, causing a great pain to shoot across my whole body. My vision blurred and I staggered backwards. The last thing I saw was Axel's wicked grin, and my eyes shut, darkness taking over.
Slowly, I opened my eyes only to be greeted by a sharp pain at the back of my head. I winced, trying to endure the pain. I noticed how cold the floor was, like metal. A realization hit me and I flinched, my eyes widening as I took a look around.
I was sitting in a metal cage, right beside my throne. To make things worse, Myers was also in a cage beside me, but he was unconscious. I can't believe that Axel actually went through with his plan of keeping me trapped in a cage like a pet! I will not spare him, I promise, I won't!
“Fucking let me out of here!” I growled, pulling on the metal bars with all of my strength but it didn't budge.
“Don't bother, it won't open.” Axel came in with his fleet of guards behind him. He had a mischievous grin plastered on his face and I yearned to punch it off.
“That's where you will remain until I am satisfied.” He added and came up to my throne, admiring it with a lot of passion. He touched it slightly, and took in his lips.
“Finally, you are mine.” He whispered.
“Don't you dare Axel, I'm warning you! Don't you dare sit there!” I screamed, still fighting to get out of the cage. He simply laughed and turned, slowly taking a seat on my throne. I felt my heart squeeze in pain and shock. This was never meant to happen, he doesn't deserve the throne!
“This throne has always been mine, and you know it. This is my inheritance and finally, I have claimed it.” Axel laughed but I was only filled with sorrows, watching him helplessly.
“I, Axel, have declared myself the Alpha of Moon fang pack!” He yelled out and his followers all bowed.
“Long live Alpha Axel!” They shouted in unison and tears threatened to fall from my eyes. He has claimed my pack and there is nothing I can do about it.
“Alpha Axel.. that sounds great.” He gloated, staring at me as he got comfortable on my throne.
“You will regret this Axel!” I yelled, pulling on the metal bars as hard as I could.
“Forget it Silas, you have been stripped of your title and you will watch in pain as I lead. I will watch you die a painful death for everything you did to my mother and I. I will not spare you!” He glared at me, the hurt in his eyes as he spoke was evident, my conscience judged me.
“Where are his pathetic soldiers!?” He asked and one of my captains was thrown at his feet, he was bleeding from everywhere. We made a brief eye contact and I could see the disappointment in his eyes. I have indeed failed my people.
I thought I wouldn't care, but I feel like the whole world had crashed down on my head.
“Follow him, make sure you bring back all the women from this pack, the ones who managed to get away. Any pack that refuses to release them, destroy them all!” Axel ordered and my chest ached.
“I want all the women to entertain me, one by one. I will use them the way I want.” He grinned.
“Axel, don't do this.” I muttered but he laughed at me and my pathetic state.
“You didn't think twice before you did what you did to my mother.. I begged you, but you kicked me to the curb to die. And now, you will feel the same hurt.. father.”
