Alpha's breakfast

Chapter 68:

Kaya's pov.

“Kaya.”

Marta showed up. I turned around and greeted her but she didn't respond to my greeting, instead she handed me a shimmering gold plate that almost blinded me. I carefully took it from her and placed it on the counter, wondering what it was for.

Elior started to get a bit irritated on my back, he was moving a lot and letting out small fries. I was afraid that I would get yelled at so I started to bounce in an attempt to calm him down.

“You're going to take Alpha Silas' food to him in his quarters. He has requested that you bring it there as he doesn't want to eat in the dining area today.” Marta instructed and I nodded my head.

Deep down, I was afraid. Why did he suddenly request that I bring his food? And to his room? Is he planning to kill me too? At that moment, Feyi's tragic death flashed in my head, the memory was as devastating as the original event. I could still recall the way he dropped dead right in front of me, a little bit of foam sipping out the corner of his mouth.

Alpha Silas must be heartless, nothing like Feyi described before his death. He used to speak so highly of him, I remember how he bragged about me being safe here but safe is the farthest thing I feel right now.

“What are you thinking about? Did you understand anything I said?” Marta snapped me out of my thoughts and I stared at her, nodding my head again.

“And don't take the baby along with you for your own good.” She added.

“But where am I supposed to keep him? I can't leave him by himself.” I argued and she glared at me.

“I'm not making a request, it's an order! Find somewhere to keep her and make sure you fulfill your duties without mistakes. Trust me, you'll regret it.” Marta snapped and walked away. I let out a sigh and went back to cooking. My soul was broken, but I had to continue pushing, at least for my baby.

Soon, breakfast was ready and I quickly dished the Alpha's food in the plates I was given and placed them on the gold tray. I had barely five minutes to get it to his room as he didn't take pleasure in tardiness. Knowing this, I quickly brought Elior down from my back and searched the kitchen for anybody willing to hold him for me.

None of the maids looked like they were ready to look after Elior for me and it made me quite restless. They didn't even look my way once and all wore emotionless faces.

“Excuse me.” I approached one of the most gentle looking maids I could find. She stared up at me, raising her brows.

“Can I help you?”

“I was hoping that you could hold my son for a little while. I want to serve Alpha his food.”

“Well.. I guess so. But be quick because I have a lot to do.” She said as she took Elior from me. Thankfully, my baby did not cry and I was relieved. I rushed out of the kitchen with the tray of food, hoping to be back in time to take my baby because I don't trust anyone here.

I got to Alpha Silas’ door and placed a soft knock. I heard his malevolent voice asking me to step in. I gulped silently before pushing the door open and stepping in. His room was like an entirely different palace on its own. It was larger than life, designed with beautiful stones and holding a huge hot tub in it as well.

I slowly went over to the table, dropping the tray there before turning to look at his shirtless form on the bed. He was sitting at the edge of his bed, his wandering eyes exploring every inch of my body and forcing me to cover my body with my hands. I felt naked.

“Y- your food.” I stuttered, avoiding eye contact at all costs. A smirk crept up on his lips as he continued to stare lustfully.

“Bring it here.” He instructed and I gulped before walking over to the bed with the tray of food. My shaky hands almost gave away my fear as I dropped the tray on the bed beside him.

I made to get up but his hand grabbed my wrist instantly, keeping me from getting up. I struggled to get free but he pulled me towards himself instead, grabbing my waist and gliding his fingers up my waist to my back. I felt disgust as I tried to free myself.

“Alpha, please..” I gasped, my eyes getting watery.

“You know you cannot stop me from getting what I want from you, right?” He whispered, his cold lips coming in contact with my cheek and causing me to shudder. I bit my lip, trying not to let my tears fall.

I can't let him know that I'm terrified of him, it'll only make him even more ravenous than he already is.

“Get out.” He suddenly let go of my hand and I staggered backwards in fright, my heart pounding heavily against my chest. I sniffed and quickly ran out of the room, trying to catch my breath.

What is Alpha Silas going to do now? Is he going to treat me even worse than Lucian did? If that's the case, then I have managed to walk my son and I into a trap.

I rushed all the way back to the kitchen and found Elior crying in the arms of the maid I had assigned to watch her. I took him from the upset maid and consoled her softly. He must be hungry, I haven't fed him since I started working in the kitchen this morning.

“I'll quickly go feed him and come back to continue my duties.” I said to myself as I dashed out of the kitchen, heading to my room. I got to my room and started to feed him, hoping that my absence won't be noticed until I return.

My hopes crashed when I heard Marta's voice. She was yelling my name all the way to my room and when she pushed the door open, I knew I was in trouble. Her face emitted pure rage and I gulped as I cradled Elior in my arms.

“Ma'am.. I..”

“You what!? Who said you could leave your duties unattended to? Do you think you'll be treated specially because you have a child!?” She scolded, fury evident in her eyes.

“Give me the baby.”

“W-what?” I clutched my baby tighter.

“Give me the baby now!”
