Chapter 178 THE FINAL RESPONSE

Chapter 178 THE FINAL RESPONSE
SIENNA

The booing from the students continued. At some point, I felt like vanishing from the face of the earth.

It never occurred to me that I'd still encounter this challenge after such a long time.

It's been eight months now. Eight freaking months. Yet no one seems to forget the things that happened back then.

Leo had warned me earlier. He never wanted me coming back to my school, not even the hostel. I wished I had listened.

“Sienna, where have you been all these months? We miss you,” I heard a tiny voice say from the crowd.

I turned around. They weren't willing to leave Lana and Mallory's room anytime soon.

The worst part was that my face was already on their cameras.

What will I do?

Lana and Mallory tried to control the situation, but it was way beyond their control.

Mallory even got into a fight with one of the girls and ended up breaking her phone.

It turned into a fistfight, escalating the chaos.

Seeing this, a surge of anger rose inside me.

I walked angrily toward the students crowding the doorway and forcing their way into the room.

“Enna,” Lana tried to stop me from approaching the crowd. “Let us handle this, please.”

“I'll handle it myself.”

I didn't stop for any reason.

The moment they saw me coming, the booing intensified.

“Guys, here she comes. The cow girl,” I heard one of the students say again.

Cameras flashed. Everyone was recording me. Some took pictures too, turning themselves into paparazzi.

At that moment, I felt like a celebrity.

Mallory was still arguing with the girl whose phone she had broken, while Lana rushed to the door, standing between me and the crowd of students.

They didn't even let us shut the door.

It made me wonder if the hostel security had been alerted despite all the uproar.

“Sienna!”

“You’re so freaking good!”

“Can you give us more of those videos? They were very interesting to watch.”

Those words filled my ears as I stood there, staring at the students while the cameras remained fixed on me.

“You don't need to show your face on those cameras,” Mallory said, trying to shut the door again, but she couldn't.

“I'll speak to them,” I said, breathing heavily with anger.

At the sound of my voice, the noise and booing reduced a little.

I guess they all wanted to hear what I had to say.

“I must thank all of you who watched my video and kept reposting my nude videos,” I said, holding a confident smile on my face.

“Enna,” Mallory turned to me, shocked.

She too was trying to avoid the cameras.

I looked at her briefly before turning back to the students.

“Guys, she's a psychopath—and a cheater too. How do you just dump your boyfriend for another man?” one of the girls snapped.

“You're right,” I said, addressing the speaker.

I knew her very well. She was a second-year Philosophy student.

“I loved my boyfriend, but as life unfolded, I realized I wanted something different—something I had never experienced before.”

“Stop lying,” another girl attacked me. “You're simply a walking red flag.”

“Don't mind her,” another girl supported the first, her tone bitter. “She's just a black widow and a serial upgrader.”

I gave a small smile.

“I'm glad you all know me for who I am. I'm also glad I made the right choice.”

The crowd fell silent.

“And like I said earlier, guys, thank you for watching my video. If anything, it only made me more popular. I'm grateful for the lessons it taught me and how it pushed me to become a better person. Most importantly, I'm thankful that he stayed—the one you all saw in that video. I love you, Leo Hart.”

My words gradually calmed the atmosphere.

None of the students had expected that response from me.

“I love you so much, Sienna! I'm a big fan!” a female voice shrieked from the crowd.

“I love you all.”

Those were my last words before I retreated from the doorway and made my way to my former bed.

Nothing had changed in the hostel.

“You all can just leave!” I heard Lana's angry voice.

There was no response from the students. No one said a word after I finished addressing them.

All along, I hadn't realized that my phone had been ringing.

Leo had been calling.

Not once. Not twice.

More than ten times.

Just as I was about to call him back, Mr. Jones appeared inside the room.

“Miss Sienna, I'm sorry, but we have to leave now. Mr. Leo just called me,” Jones said, urgency evident in his voice.

“I'm so sorry, Enna.” Mallory hugged me.

“It's okay,” I said with a smile. “Those students ruined our time together.”

Lana walked over and hugged me tightly too.

Slowly, she raised her phone and showed me a video of what had just happened.

Some of the students had already posted it on Instagram and Twitter.

“Yeah, I'm aware of it. It can't break me anymore,” I whispered.

“I'm so sorry, sweetie,” Lana said, hugging me again. “We couldn't protect you.”

“Let's go,” Jones cut in sharply.

Mallory and Lana let go of me.

“Take my phone number,” Mallory said.

“Yeah, I'll definitely reach out,” I replied.

I saved Mallory's contact and gave both girls another hug before leaving with Mr. Jones.

By the time I got outside, none of the students were there anymore.

Everywhere felt eerily silent, as though the chaos from earlier had never happened.

“Mr. Leo is furious, Sienna. What exactly happened? I didn't like the way he sounded on the phone, and you haven't been answering any of his calls either,” Mr. Jones said as we entered the car.

I turned to him.

“You didn't hear the uproar from the hostel earlier?” I asked.

He had been staying only a few rooms away from Lana and Mallory's room. How could he not have heard the commotion?

“I didn't, Sienna.” He started the engine. “I went for a walk around the hostel because my legs were hurting. Did something happen? Leo is really angry.”

I sighed.

“Those students tried to attack me. They called me all sorts of names. Porn star... black widow and stuff.”

“Seriously?” Jones said, shocked. “Those students are unbelievable. I can't believe they did that. Did they hurt you?”

“Not really. I'm fine,” I replied.

“It must have been really tough on you, Sienna. Could that be why Leo has been calling?”

“Yes. My face is all over the internet.”

“What?” Jones blurted, his eyes widening in surprise.

It was obvious he had no idea what had happened earlier.

“I should call my baby now,” I murmured.

Just calling Leo my baby sent a warm flutter through my chest.

I could never have done that before we decided to make our relationship public and stop hiding it.

“Yeah, you should,” he said with a nod.

But before I could think of calling Leo, his call came in immediately.

“Honey, I'm sorry,” I apologized before he could say anything.

He took a deep breath.

I could hear how heavy it was.

“Just come back home,” he said quietly.

“I am,” I replied. “Are you really mad at me?”

My voice softened.

“No, I'm not,” he answered, sounding exhausted.

“Thank you, darling,” I muttered.

Then the call ended.
