Chapter 175 A LOVELY HOME

Chapter 175 A LOVELY HOME

SIENNA

That night, the penthouse felt like it had been reborn.
Every corner was glowing with light, and laughter echoed through the entire place.
Sarah had told me it used to feel like a cemetery before I arrived, and that Leo was always looking miserable.
According to her, he barely ate. Two days… three days.
She went on to recount his ordeal with the notorious Tom Blackthorn, revealing how he and Roxy—Leo’s ex—had plotted to kill Leo.
Leo and I hadn’t spoken that deeply since I arrived. We were always tired of talking about ourselves, staring into each other’s eyes, holding hands, and hugging. Nothing mattered to us other than ourselves.
Sarah wasn’t lying. I saw it too. Leo looked really miserable.
I know he loves me, but I didn’t believe he could become this miserable because of me.
Karen’s condition has improved a whole lot.
The last time I saw her, she couldn’t stand on her own without being supported by anyone. She could barely recognize anyone.
I was surprised when she called my name earlier, despite no one ever reintroducing me to her.
The entire room went silent in shock, Leo included.
Well, Leo said Karen often mentioned my name on some occasions when they talked, especially when he was sad and didn’t want to talk to anyone or even eat his meals.
After seeing Karen that night, Leo and I retired to his room.
We had our bath together, and he carried me in his arms like a baby. He helped me apply lotion on my skin.
I glanced at him throughout the entire time.
Damn!
I love him so much. So much that I can’t explain.
“I’ll get your nightwear,” he said, walking to my bag.
I had barely unpacked my things since Sarah helped me wheel them into Leo’s room.
I wondered how Leo was going to find something light for me to wear without even getting tired.
But somehow, he found his way around it. And boom, he found it—pink lingerie.
He recognized it at once.
“I remember this,” he said, turning to me, holding it up in front of me.
I chuckled. “You always remember everything.”
He let out a soft smile and began walking toward me.
“You’re my priority. Everything about you is very important to me,” his tone softened.
Deep down, I can’t help but love how he notices and remembers every little detail about me—it makes me fall for him even more each time.
“Are you going to dress me?” I asked, frowning playfully.
“It’s my responsibility from now on,” he didn’t hesitate to say.
He assisted me in wearing the soft lace with delicate embroidery designs that couldn’t take those hungry desires from his eyes.
As his fingers traced the fabric on my body, he shut his eyes, inhaling deeply. His touches melted my heart, making my entire body crave more of his touch.
Opening his eyes, he kissed me softly and then lifted his face.
Our gazes lingered.
“Tell me, was choosing me over your inheritance worth it?” At that moment, the air stilled.
“I love you, Leo. More than anything on earth,” I replied. Yet, he didn’t seem satisfied with my answer.
“Was it out of pressure from your dad and Alex?” he asked again.
I shook my head lightly, a smile on my face.
“I decided to do this. I wanted you, Leo. I chose us.”
He took a deep breath. “Is that how much you really love me?”
“Yes, that’s how much I love and want to be with you,” I answered.
He sat beside me, his hands wrapped around my waist, his breath growing heavier.
“I’m the luckiest man alive,” he said, and it wasn’t just empty flattery.
“You think so?” I asked with a radiant smile on my face. “Sarah told me everything.”
“About what?” he asked.
“About all that happened between you, your business friend, and Roxy,” I said softly.
“You know Roxy?” he asked, surprised.
I nodded. “She was already here before the day Alex came to pick me up from your house.”
“But you weren’t too fit during that time. How come you knew she was my ex?” he asked.
Memories of what happened the past month began to flood my mind.
I remember coming down to talk to Leo after weeks of ignoring him due to how traumatized I had become at the time our video got leaked.
Roxy was sitting with Leo in the living room. I thought they were just friends until I heard her confess how much she loved Leo and why she came back looking for him after four years.
“I overheard everything. I’m sure you received my letter after then,” I said, leading him back to all that happened months ago.
He shot me a surprised look. “I read the letter,” he said. “You wrote that you thought you might be pregnant.”
“Yes…” I paused.
His eyes shifted to my flat tummy, and he rubbed it gently. “I guess you weren’t.”
“I thought I was,” I replied.
Silence filled the room, but he didn’t stop caressing my tummy like something truly precious was buried inside it.
Then he looked at me.
“Would you have kept my child if things were different?”
That was a really tough question. I remember when Alex took me for a pregnancy test in the hospital.
Although I was still mentally unstable, I knew how deeply Alex was wishing the results would come out negative.
What about Dad?
He didn’t hear about the pregnancy test, but I’m sure he would have caused me to miscarry the pregnancy himself. Dad really traumatized me.
At some point, I felt suicide was the only option left, but Alex never gave me a chance to.
It would have been really easy if he weren’t by my side and always monitoring me.
Remembering those things, I gave a soft sigh.
“I would have kept your child, Leo. But—”
He reached my lips, sliding his fingers across them.

“I know already,” he interrupted. “It was better you didn’t get pregnant.” “Cruz would have never accepted my child.” Tears almost poured down my eyes.

“You’re right. And I'm glad it never did happen” I tried to force a smile.

He took my hands, never willing to let me go.

“I promise to protect you. I'll never hurt you. Never and I promise to make peace with your father again” he said, his voice steady.

“I hope he will accept us one day. I hope Alex makes peace with us too” I sighed.

“, my love. I will ensure that happens”  he pulled closer and kissed me.

I held him tightly again, refusing to let go of him.

I know what accepting Leo back truly means.

I was on the verge of creating another problem in my life.
