I was impressed with Enzo’s design for Cat’s ring he really put thought into it. If I can’t be her husband on paper, I’m very glad I’m part of the engagement ring. I told them I have some insight on the wedding and all I said was New York. “Come on John, you can’t keep us hanging. What about New York?” Enzo asked. “Well, she wants to get married in the St. Patrick’s Cathedral when she said that I thought about the venue then at The Plaza.” “That sounds perfect we will have to organize that as soon as possible I mean both those places are very popular.” “You think the other families will travel so far for a wedding?” Frank asked “Well if they want to attend, they will I mean we will give Cat whatever she wants.” Enzo said. “Okay what about spring then Central Park is full of pink blossoms.” I suggested yes, the romantic side of me was coming out, it was always coming out when I thought of Cat. “That sounds like a great idea, I was thinking of taking her away when she comes back with Nico, I mean the two of us didn’t have a real get away like the rest of you and then I will ask her to marry us.” “How are you going to ask her if we are not there?” Frank asked, I was thinking the same. “I thought that you guys can fly in for the weekend then we make it a weekend thing the two of us will be alone during the week and then the Saturday we can ask her to marry us.” “I think that sounds perfect.” I told Enzo. “I agree.” Frank said. “Well then if we are all in agreement, I’ll inform Nico but now we need to get to that meeting before Gallo has his panties in a twist because we are late.” Enzo said.

I didn’t really want them all there when I ask Cat to marry me, because although she’s marrying all of us it’s our names on the wedding certificate but I do understand that the others want to be there. I was thinking of taking her to Hawaii for the week we can lay next to the pool drink cocktails I’m sure she will be off her meds by then. Walk around on the beach just have a relaxing trip and then ask her to marry us. I had to include the others weather I like it or not. But now we are on our way to my office at the warehouse where I need to stand tall and tell all of them, I’m marrying Cat and taking the Capone name making me head of the Mafia families. How some of them will take it I don’t know? How my father is going to take it was another story as well. I know if he has time to think about it, he will understand it’s just giving him that time to come to terms with it.
When we stopped at my warehouse, we were the only one’s there which I was grateful for, the three of us could go in and set everything up the drinks and they like to nibble on stuff so I always have salt crackers and cheeses available. John, Frank and I quickly got everything ready before the first guest arrived it was Luciano so that was good “Hi Enzo you ready for this?” “I am, I think I was born ready.” “I think so to you will make a great leader.” “That’s what we told him.” Luciano went to sit when Colombo and Persico walked through the door. “Good afternoon gents please get yourself something to drink and eat we are just waiting on Gallo.” “He had this big mouth about the meeting and now his late.” Colombo said. “You know that is how he is.” Luciano said. Everyone was drinking and chatting before Gallo eventually arrived. I was feeling a bit sarcastic so I greeted him as such. “So nice of you to join us.” I said as I let him in. He didn’t say a word he walked in got himself a drink took a seat then said. “Now can we get to business please.” Luciano was the first to tell him “We’ve been waiting for you.” “Well, I’m here now, so tell me who is taking over?”
This was my time to shine “I am.” “What do you mean you are, what will happen to Caterina you all wanted a Capone to take over and now you say you are taking over why all the death and backstabbing if you are taking over. I don’t get it.” “Well, if you give me time to talk, I can explain.” “Well then explain.” “I’m marrying Cat and taking her surname so a Capone will be in charge of the Mafia families of Chicago and more doors will open for us from now on.” Gallo looked shocked before he smiled “So this was your plan all along to get all your competition out of the way and then take over you are even willing to take her fucking surname.” Gallo yelled at me. “No Gallo this was not the plan the plan was for Caterina to take over but she has no desire to do so and for us to keep the Capone name I thought what better way than to marry her take her surname and keep the Capone name alive.” “You will have children with her and give them the Capone name?” “Off course I will why is it so difficult to understand?” “It’s not difficult I just can’t believe your father will be happy with this.” “My father understands how big the Capone name is none of us will ever live up to that name and that is why I will take it and make it the biggest name in the industry again.” “Hear hear” Luciano said lifting his glass up to me. And without even taking it to a vote the others followed Luciano and also said “hear hear.” “Well Gallo the ball is in your court but so far everyone is on my side.”
