Cat
It was the Monday morning I was still in bed I didn’t want to get out of John’s bed. John has already gone to shower and get ready for the day. My week with him has come to an end and I wasn’t happy. He came out of the walk in closet with his navy blue Armani suit and shirt, he looked sexy as fuck all I could think about was pulling him back into bed but I can’t, he said his going to take me to the biggest Starbucks which I didn’t know existed in Chicago and then his taking me home, which was Enzo’s home not mine I didn’t have a home yet, but after they told me they loved me I’m not so worried about the house anymore. “You look hot.” I said as he bends down to kiss me. “Oh, thank you very much.” “And you smell, fuck John don’t you want to get back into bed with me we can skip breakfast.” John laughed “Cat breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” “You can be my breakfast” “No no, go shower we need to go.” “Are you kicking me out?” He kissed me again. “I would never kick you out love.” I got out of bed and went to shower I wasn’t going to pack anything because there were the same things at Enzo’s place for me so I just grabbed a jean and a cashmere warm top to put on. After I showered done my hair and put some make up on, I felt a little better, I got dressed and found John in the room on a call, it was clearly a business call so I didn’t disturb him I mean he went for a whole week without doing any business.
When he was done with the call, he looked at me “Sorry about that.” “No worries. Shall we go.” I started to walk out of the room. “Love” he called me back. “Yes?” “What’s wrong?” “Nothing” “Cat?” “I’m just sad that our week is over.” “Tell you what I’ll tell Enzo Aria needs to make food for all of us tonight then we can see each other okay?” “That would be amazing thank you John. Will you invite Nico?” “Off course if he’ll show up is a different story.” We walked down the stairs and I felt lighter at least I’m going to see him again today. “Francesca, we leaving.” John yelled. Francesca came to us, she came straight to me, and hugged me “Bye Cat hope to see you again soon.” “You to Francesca and thank you for all the good food and the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had.” “It’s my pleasure.” When we walked out Dario was waiting for us at the front door. “Boss shouldn’t I have a look at Cat’s wound before she goes?” He was looking at John but I was the one to answer “I’m good Dario thank you for looking so well after me this week I really appreciate it.” “It was my pleasure.” I got in the SUV with John behind me. As soon as he was in the SUV, he took my hand. “I’m going to miss you this week while you are away.” “I’m going to miss all of you.” “Just try and enjoy it okay.” “I will I mean it’s Disney who can not enjoy it.” “Cat remember to take it easy.” “Yes, John I know.” “Promise me you will take it easy?” “I promise.” “Okay good.”
We drove down Michigan Ave; I know the street I’m sure I’ve walked it many times but if you don’t have money, you don’t really take note of which stores were on the street. Dario pulled over and John got out. “Come we are here.” He took my hand and helped me out of the SUV. When I stood in front of the Starbucks, I couldn’t believe a coffee shop could have 5 floors. “Come on.” John said pulling me to the doors. As he opened the door my mouth dropped open, it was huge and beautiful there was a hostess that told you what was on each floor. “You wanne check out the other floors?” “Yes please.” We went to the second floor and saw it was a bigger eating area, “There’s a seat at the window can we take it?” “Off course go sit so long what do you want?” “Whatever you getting.” “Okay so I should surprise you?” “Yes please?” “And the other floors?” “We can do them after we had something to drink and eat. It’s clear the window seats are very popular.” When we stopped at the window I told him “I can see why, look at this view.” “It is amazing right.”
John
It was so nice to see things through Cat’s eyes, she was seeing things for the first time and the way she sees it makes you appreciate the smaller things in life again. I went to the counter and order and egg in a basket of hashbrown, a croissant for myself and a hazelnut croissant for us to share, I got Cat a latte and an espresso for myself. While I was waiting in the queue I send Enzo a message, “Will you mind if Frank and I come over for dinner tonight? We can invite Nico as well if you want?” I waited for our food before I went back to the table with everything. “What is this?” “Well for you, I got egg in an hashbrown basket and then a hazelnut croissant and a croissant for me with turkey, cheese and tomato.” “This looks delicious.” She said as she digs into her hashbrown basket with egg. I was busy eating my croissant when my phone went off. “Off course I’ll tell Aria, see you in a while.” “Thanks.” When I looked up Cat asked me “Why you smiling?” “Enzo said it was fine with him for tonight.” “Oh, good thank John.”
