I was busy welcoming my men, Nico’s men, John’s men when Alejandro and some of his men came walking through the door. I was stunt according to me Alejandro was just going to send some men he wasn’t going to come himself. “Alejandro what a surprise?” I more than asked than said. “You didn’t think you are going to send Caterina into the lion’s den without me, did you?” “Off course we did you were supposed to send men not come with.” I said irritated with him, because him being here could give everything away. “Besides the old man wouldn’t let you onto his property.” “We will see about that.” Nico and John arrived both shocked to see Alejandro. “Alejandro?” John also asked. “What you guys can’t really be that stupid could you. Her father told me to look after her to protect her now you want me to stand by while you take her to the man that wants to kill her, the man she was actually hiding from for years.” “That’s not it, it’s just Marchetti won’t let you onto his property, your cartel Alejandro.” Nico tried. “I think that is exactly why he will let me onto his property he will be curious what I’m doing there.” While John and Nico were trying to reason with Alejandro, I heard another car approaching and I knew it would be Enzo.
I walked outside to warn him of Alejandro. When the SUV came to a stand still Enzo got out and then Cat, she was looking stunning with her hair in a bun and she had a black pants suit on, clearly ready for business, Enzo and Cat looked like a power couple in their black suits. “Cat how nice to see you.” I said as I took her in my arms and hugged her, she didn’t want to let go so I held on to her for a little longer, when she eventually let go of me, I looked at Enzo and said “We have a problem?” Enzo took Cat around the waist, “What kind of problem?” “Alejandro.” “What about Alejandro?” Cat asked clearly already very protective and fond of him. “His here, he wants to go with to Marchetti.” “He can’t” Enzo said without even thinking. “I know I told him but he didn’t want to listen.” “Well lead the way.” Enzo told me clearly saying I should take him to Alejandro.
We walked through my dungeon to a big hall, where I held my meetings or should I say where we all hold our meetings. It was private and big and the cars park behind the house so no one will know something was going on inside the house. When we walked into the hall, Cat let go of Enzo’s hand and walked straight to Alejandro giving him a hug. That left a bad taste in all our mouths but we have to understand she see’s him as a father figure now. It was Cat that asked “What are you doing here?” He took her hand “I can’t let you go to Marchetti without me Cat, I promised I’ll protect you. How am I going to protect you if I’m not there.” “You said last night this was a fishing expedition for Marchetti, he wants my DNA. No matter if you are there or not, he will get my DNA some way or another, I can’t break every glass I drink out of we are not Greek.” That put a smile on Alejandro’s face. “I would just feel better if I’m there with you.” “Alejandro, I have all of these men with me with there bodyguards and then I have my own Cartel bodyguard I’m sure that is enough to send Marchetti a clear message that I’m under your protection.” “That man is so thick he might not even notice.” Enzo stepped forward “Oh don’t you worry he will notice. I can promise you that.”
“And how can you promise me that Enzo? I told you Capone asked me to look after his daughter and now that everything is out in the open, I can do it openly.” Alejandro said. “I know Alejandro and we appreciate the help but will it be okay if you do it from afar today, I know you are a very good sniper maybe you can take on the role of a sniper today. If you go in with us today, he will immediately know Cat here is off importance to us and he will put 2 and 2 together and wouldn’t even do a DNA test, remember we are relying on the DNA test for time.” Enzo said to Alejandro. It looked like Alejandro was thinking about it. After a while he said “I’m not happy about it but okay I’ll be a sniper today but you make sure he knows Pedro is one of my men.” “I will.” Enzo said. “Enzo, I mean it don’t let Marchetti make his own assumptions I want you to tell him Pedro is one of my men and now Cat’s bodyguard.” “I take it you spoke to Pedro?” “Off course I did and I don’t want anyone to come to their one conclusion it must be straight forward; Cat is under my protection. You should tell Marchetti that or by God I will.” “Fine Alejandro if that is what will keep you away from Marchetti’s house then that is what I’ll do.” “Great then your men can show me where I have the best view of Cat.” John wanted to say something because his men was told to have their eyes on Cat the whole time, but Enzo jumped in “Yes off course, John’s men will have that view.” “Okay then it’s settled.”
Alejandro left the room leaving Cat, Enzo, John, Nico and myself in the big room. “Are you sure about it?” John asked Enzo. “Well, if we don’t want him with us inside Marchetti’s compound then him being a snipper is the only option and we know he won’t hesitate to shoot Marchetti if he tries something with Cat “Yes but what if he just walks to Cat and pull some of her hair out, Alejandro will shoot him right there and we can’t afford that.” John said. “I’m sure Alejandro has more self-control than that.” Cat said. “You only know the guy for not even 24 hours and you want to tell us he has more self-control.” John barked at her. “John!” Enzo screamed at him “That is enough Alejandro could have kidnapped Cat he could have taken her from her apartment he could have done a lot of things before we got a hold of her but he promised Capone to protect her from a far, which means he does have self-control.” “Well let’s hope so.” John said as he walked out of the room.
