Chapter Thirty-three

Vivi's heart raced as she saw Kevin stumble, her instinct propelling her forward to catch him. But he was heavier than she expected, and before she knew it, they both tumbled to the ground, limbs entangled in a chaotic mess.

"Kevin, are you okay?" she gasped, gripping his arm tightly as they lay sprawled on the ground.

"I'm fine," Kevin replied, his voice strained but resolute. "Just a little weak, that's all."

Where is Henry?" Ray asked.

"Toasted," Gun's voice rang out as he swooped in from above, his wings casting a shadow over them.

"It's time you take back your throne," Nina's voice cut through the air, her words laced with a sense of urgency.

Vivi's eyes widened as she turned to see Vin lying in Nina's arms, his eyes closed and his breathing shallow. Sky approached them slowly, his expression grave as he knelt beside him.

Marcus's heart shattered as he gazed at the lifeless body of his friend, Silver, lying on the ground. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he whispered brokenly, "He isn't supposed to die."

Vivi, the resident expert on all things supernatural, knelt beside Marcus and gently laid a hand on his shoulder. "Well, being stabbed with a silver dagger to the heart can kill vampires,"

"Silver!" Ray exclaimed, his voice tinged with panic, as he rushed towards Silver's motionless form.

Casey and Isabel exchanged worried glances. "She got injected with the same substance as Kevin," they said in unison, their voices heavy with concern.

Angel's eyes blazed with fury as she turned towards her father. "You can create a cure, right?" she demanded, her voice trembling with emotion.

Her father opened his mouth to respond, but before he could utter a word, Gun, Angel's loyal companion and protector, shot him a warning glare, silencing him instantly.

"They killed your mother and brother!" Angel's father suddenly erupted, his voice filled with anguish and rage, as he stared defiantly at Gun.

Henry did that because you keep making experiments on them!"

Angel's expression hardened, a mix of exasperation and concern. She let out a weary sigh, running a hand through her hair. "I don't know what to do with you, Dad," she muttered under her breath, her tone laced with resignation. "Sky, let's lock him up."

As Angel moved to take another step, her movements faltered, her balance betraying her. She stumbled slightly, a wave of dizziness washing over her. Gun, ever watchful, was quick to react. In one fluid motion, he stepped forward and reached out to steady her, his strong arms enveloping her trembling form. With a gentle touch, he guided her to a nearby chair, concern etched into his features.

"Feed on me, sister-in-law," Gun offered quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. Angel's gaze flickered to him, She hesitated for a moment, torn between her pride and her undeniable need.

But then, with a weary nod, she relented.

"Don't worry, I can handle your blood thirst," he assured her, his voice a soothing melody in the stillness of the night.

She nodded, a silent acknowledgment of his words, before yielding to the primal urge that coursed through her veins. With a delicate grace, she leaned forward, her lips parting to reveal a glint of sharpened fangs. In one fluid motion, she buried her fangs into the tender flesh of his neck, her senses instantly flooded with the rich, coppery taste of his blood.

"Vampires feeding on each other, check," came a voice from the shadows, breaking the spell of silence that had enveloped them. Vivi, stood nearby, her eyes alight with a mischievous spark. "Shut up or you might be next," Kevin warned, a playful glint in his eye as he shot her a mock-serious glare.

Vivi clamped her mouth shut, a gesture of compliance, while Kevin simply laughed, the tension of the moment dissipating like smoke on the wind.

ONE WEEK LATER...

The once abandoned castle echoed with screams that intertwined with the fragrant aroma of freshly bloomed flowers and shimmering golden decor. Vivi, adorned in a resplendent ball gown, burst forth from one of the opulent rooms, her eyes wide with exhilaration as she dashed through the corridors, her laughter mingling with the echoes of her footsteps.

As Vivi's screams reached a crescendo, she suddenly found herself swept off her feet, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and anticipation. With a gasp of surprise, she gazed up at the person who had intercepted her frantic flight.

"You're quite the sprinter," Kevin chuckled, his eyes dancing with amusement as he held Vivi securely in his arms.

"I knew you were taking it easy on me," Vivi retorted with a playful pout, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she met Kevin's gaze.

With a playful twirl, Kevin gently set Vivi back on her feet, his fingers deftly smoothing out the tousled locks of her hair.

You aren't going for the ball?" He inquired, his voice barely audible above the melodic strains.

Vivi's gaze drifted across the room, her thoughts elsewhere. With a slight shrug, she replied, "I just want some fresh air."

A mischievous glint sparkled in Kevin's eyes as he suggested, "Wanna go flying?"

A smile tugged at the corners of Vivi's lips, a silent understanding passing between them. Kevin shook his head in disbelief, but Vivi's nod of affirmation was all it took. With a swift movement, she darted towards a nearby tower, her skirts billowing behind her like a flurry of petals in the wind.

Kevin watched her ascent with a mixture of awe and amusement. He followed her with his eyes as she ran up the spiral staircase and disappeared through an open window, her laughter carrying faintly on the evening breeze.

From his vantage point below, Kevin waved up at her silhouette against the darkening sky. In response, Vivi blew him a playful kiss before disappearing from view.

Suddenly, she plummeted from the window, her eyes tightly shut as she braced for impact. But before she could hit the ground, a strong hand reached out and caught her around the waist, halting her descent with surprising gentleness.

As she opened her eyes, she found herself enveloped in Kevin's embrace, his steady presence grounding her in the midst of their impulsive escapade.

"This is so relaxing," she exclaimed, leaning against him as they stood in the cool evening air.

Kevin's voice was soft as he asked, "Do you really have to leave?"

A playful glint danced in Vivi's eyes as she teased, "Whoa? Are you scared you'll be alone with no one to pick on?"

"Of course not! I don't pick on you," Kevin defended, a playful glint in his eyes.

"You do," Vivi retorted, a teasing smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Do not!" Kevin protested, his tone mockingly indignant.

Vivi couldn't help but chuckle at their back-and-forth before letting out a soft sigh. "I have to go," she said, breaking the lighthearted moment.

"Okay," Kevin replied with a nod, his expression tinged with a hint of disappointment.

.......

Meanwhile, Angel stood by the shore, her gaze fixed on the vast expanse of the sea. A gentle smile graced her lips as she placed a hand on her tummy, feeling a flutter of excitement within. Lost in her thoughts, she was interrupted by the arrival of Mia.

"Vivi is leaving, Angel," Mia announced, her voice carrying a hint of concern.

"Oh no! Let me guess, Kevin didn't confess?" Angel asked, her tone filled with sympathy.

"Exactly," Silver chimed in as she joined them, followed by Isabel and Casey.

"He chickened out," Nina added with a giggle, shaking her head in amusement.

"Shouldn't we help him?" Casey suggested, a thoughtful look crossing her features.

However, their attention swiftly shifted to Angel as Casey excitedly pointed out the window.

"Look! They're talking! Let's go peek!" Casey exclaimed, her excitement contagious.

Kevin and Vivi stood at the grand entrance of the castle, their hands entwined. Vivi couldn't help but wonder what Kevin wanted to say to her.

"Vivi, can't you stay?" Kevin asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Why do you want me to stay?" Vivi responded, her eyes searching his for answers.

"I... I... no reason," Kevin stuttered, his attempt to mask his true feelings evident.

Vivi smiled at his obvious lie. "I have to go, I have some business to take care of," she said, masking her disappointment with a smile.

Before she could walk away, Vivi moved into Kevin's arms and hugged him tightly, cherishing the moment before she departed towards the waiting Benz.

"Seriously, are you just going to stand there and watch her leave?" Sky questioned, breaking the tense silence.

"Go after her!" Marcus urged, his voice filled with urgency.

"Jeez! Stop acting like an idiot. She likes you too!" Ray exclaimed, frustration evident in his tone.

"Go!" Casey added her voice to the chorus of encouragement.

"Vivi?" Kevin called out, his voice filled with desperation as she began to walk away.

"Yes?" Vivi turned back, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Don't go. Stay with me," Kevin blurted out, unable to hold back his feelings any longer.

"Why?" Vivi asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and hope.

" Because i can't live without you..i mean i have many years to live but it will not be worth living with you. I want you to be my honey bat" Kevin confessed.

Vivi cried, she ran into his arms and gave him a french kiss.
