Chapter 53 Sleep little wolf
Sleep little wolf
Milo pov
My body felt like a fire was lit just below my belly, an insatiable hunger filled with sinful desires made me want to hide inside a hole.
“What was happening to my body?” I screamed inside my head.
I didn’t understand what was happening to my body.
Why was I suddenly hyper aware of Master handsome details, his , as if I was just seeing him for the first time?
Why was a foreign pull suddenly pulling me closer to him? It was so strong that my body was almost bending without my will towards him?
Why did my hands itch to roam around the tight muscles that were bulging out of his tight shirts?
An awkward silence descended between us. I squirmed uncomfortably under his intense scrutinising glare. My cheeks burned deep red, when I realised a little too late that I had been checking Master out, while drooling like a fucking dog.
The fantasy that has been brimming in my head shattered Ike glass.
“I…i am…” But before I could say anything more embarrassing. He spoke first breaking the silence.
You’re awake,” he said, like he was stating the weather, his worried expression morphing into the one I know all too well, indifference.
Disappointment hit me like a trailer load of catties. My throat went dry, I was confused at the change in tone. But I pushed it aside, as I tried to regain the little of my dignity that had suddenly down the drain. “What… happened?”
He gritted his teeths, his eyes flickering away for a moment before it returned back to me. “You were hurt so badly. I…” He paused, as if he was weighing his words. “I did what I had to do to keep you alive.”
I blinked at him, trying to piece together the gaps in my memory but no matter how hard I tried, I just could process what he was saying. “how badly was I hurt? You said I was injured? Why are there no injuries on my body?”
The questions swarming my mind were numerous, I for a sec forgot who I was talking to, until the questions rushed out of my mouth like tap water.
“My healers have been trying to wake you up for days now…”
“What…did you just say days?” i cutted him off. another slip up again. But he didn’t say anything about it, merely blinked his eyes, before he answered.
“Yes, you have been out for 4 days to be exact.” Master's gaze softened for just a second. “I gave you something only I could give, although in the process...”
I frowned. “Your blood? You gave me your blood.” The words slipped out before I could stop them.
He didn’t answer right away, but the way his jaw flexed told me I had guessed right. “You wouldn’t have survived without it. I did what was necessary.” he finally said.
There was more, I could see it in the way his eyes continued to linger on me, in the way his hands on his laps continued to twitch like he wanted to reach out. But I just didn't know what it was. And judging from his expression, he was not willing to talk either.
The room went into an awkward silence again. I didn’t know what to say or do. That strange heat and pull I had felt before became even stronger now, and it scared me almost as much as I wanted to explore it…
Before I could find the suitable words, the door swung open.
Daphne stepped inside, carrying a tray of glass vials in her hands, but she froze when her eyes landed on me.
Her eyes went wide. “Impossible… you were still in a coma an hour ago.”
Her gaze snapped to Damon instantly, suspicion flashing across her face. “What did you do?”
“Saved him,” Damon said flatly.
She set the tray down with deliberate care, her attention never leaving him. “How?”
“That’s not your concern,” he replied, his tone sharp.
Her lips pressed into a thin line. “did you initiate the...”
“He is awake, that is what matters” Master snapped, his gaze locking on her, and for a while, both of them seemed to be having a silent mutual understanding. Before which she finally moved toward me, placing a cool hand on my forehead.
I wanted to ask her what she meant, and why master was acting weird, but my eyelids suddenly became heavy. The world suddenly lost its balance, tilting downwards.
My vision blurred.
And before I knew it, my head fell back useless against the pillow. My heart clenched, as I fought the darkness that was encroaching on me.
“Noo, not again”
I heard him shift closer. The pull whirled to life as cold hands held mine in a reassuring way. I chose to believe it more than anything else at the moment.
The last thing I heard before the darkness claimed me again was his voice, deep and filled with confidence and something deep i couldn't recognise.
“Sleep… my little wolf.”
