Chapter 45 Rogues confrontation
Rogues confrontation
Milo pov
The name clicked in my head before I could finish processing it.
I was in rogue territory.
How far had I run?
“ohh my, Look what we got here,” one of them, tall with a crooked smile. Probably their leader who was holding a bow and a quiver of arrows strapped at his back stepped forward.
“A pretty little lost pup just stumbled into our backyard.”
A series of laughter that sounded like a pack of hyenas crying echoed through the crowd.
I stumbled back, my back hitting the big tree. Fear spread from my spine to my whole body. I was cornered and surrounded by no other beings but rogues.
Stories I have heard of them began to flash in my mind. Dangerous, and wild. They were wolves that have lost themselves and their wolves. Their humanity is long gone, and they do and behave like wild beasts. They are stories that say that they are so insane that they even eat one of their own that dies.
“Fresh meat. Such pretty eyes should fetch some cool cash.” Their leader stopped, his dark eyes scanning over my body like a hawk scanning its food.
Immediately, as if nature was trying to mock me, wind picked up. Blowing towards their direction.
He inhaled deeply, giving me any evil smirk that sent chills down my spine.
“Our lucky day, leader, he is an omega.” one of them took a deep inhale, his eyes turning slightly darker.
“No no no, stay away from me” I pressed myself against the tree. As disgust welled inside me. I could imagine what was running inside their heads.
I had nowhere to run to. And fighting them was hardly an option either. Their average members were four times larger than me, and not to mention 12 of them.
“Milo, I might be able to save us…but you have to allow me.” My wolf suddenly said.
“What do you mean? How do you plan to do it?” I questioned lior, already giving up hope.
“You just need to give me control…”
“You know, I have changed my mind.” their leader said, finally holding up his hands. “It's been a long time since I felt the pleasure of being with an omega. What do you say little omega, die or still die. But this time, this daddy will make sure you get the best time of your life.”
My knees trembled.
“You have to listen to me Milo, surrender to…”
“Will I become the boy in the arena?…” I cut him short. But no answer.
“What do you say little wolf. I don't have all day” the leader stepped even closer, his eyes filled with greed and impatience.
I gagged, “never”
Tears poured down my cheeks. This is it, I would rather kill myself than let some filthy rogue touch me.
“Lior?” I whispered.
“I’m here,” my wolf replied, his voice also sad and filled with panic.
“Answer my question”
“Yes milo, anytime I take over from you, you will become like him...” lior replied truthfully.
I closed my eyes in defeat. I could feel my strength leaving me all of a sudden.
“You have to try! Milo, else you will die in their hands,” Lior urged me desperately.
The leader was half a pole from me now,
“I will give you one last chance, pretty doll.”
“Three…”
“Milo please…”
“Two…”
“Just say the word milo…”
My eyes burned, and the rotten stench from the rogue leader reached me. I could almost smell all the people they had eaten from a distance away.
“One…”
My wolf whimpered, I could feel his unwillingness, but there was nothing he could do.
“Time up” the leader smiled, a devilish smile that would make even the bravest warrior to tremble. Then, like a flash, it lunged.
I screamed, raising my arms like in a desperate attempt to shield myself.
I saw claws, dirty fangs, and a type of hunger I had never seen in his eyes. He was almost in my face.
“Lior…” I thought at the last minute, and like a flash,
Time seemed too slow for me.
Everything changed. My perception, my senses, my metabolism, and everything saw an exponential increase.
The Rogue leader's face that was still determined to rip my neck froze in shock and fear.
The last thing I heard was a laughter that sounded inhuman rumble from my throat.
my thoughts scattered, and my vision suddenly went blank.
And the world fell unusually silent.
