Chapter 83 52

Chapter 83 52
Duante’ pov

My phone pinged in my pocket. I took it out and tossed it toward Drake.

He caught it immediately and swiped his thumb on the message. A growl rattled through his chest. "Andrew is there with Max." His tone was cold.

"Good timing." I said in an extra stern voice. My hand grasped around the wheels turning them white. I wanted to put a full stop to this and spent a full day with my wife. I wouldn't let this opportunity go.

I didn't need to tell him. Drake's thumb hovered over the display alerting all. "I've told them to enter from the back door. There're more than thirty people with him. "

"Thirty or hundred. I want him dead today." I said scathingly. I sped up the car.

I pulled over the car in front of the warehouse. There were already six cars parked. I pulled the mask over to hide my face. Drake did the same. He was already clenching his guns.

"This won't be enough, boss." He snorted, glancing down at his hands.

"Let them think and be satisfied with their theory." I drew out my gun as I opened the door.

His men eyed us and began to laugh. "Masked men. They're only two."

"They won't last more than two minutes." The second man with a big belly said, laughing out loud.

I pursed my lips behind my mask. I would particularly see their face when my gun would shoot him in the head.

Drake came to my side. "They've reached." He murmured.

Without giving any response, I strode over to the giant wooden door. I could hear loud cries of pain. I did not need to see who they belonged to.

The sunlight was spread in the hall from various windows. The colourful glasses made it impossible to watch it through.

Anger boiled under my skin. I was waiting for this day. My gaze darkened on him.

A smirk was plastered on his face, with one hand he was grasping the gun, looking mockingly up at us. He squeezed Max's bloodied face under his black shoe.

Max was always loyal to me. He was kidnapped and tortured. He somehow contacted me and explained everything to me. He never broke my trust. It was part of our plan that he would work with him as right hand. He was giving me every information about him which kept me one step ahead of my enemy.

"Devil, I was waiting for this day. It was hard to wait when you betrayed me and helped those remaining pieces of shit to escape and you helped my future-wife." He put more pressure on his boot, drawing more blood from his wounds.

Max's clothes were soaked with blood. His arms, hands were bruised. It was hard to tell how many cuts and wounds as his face was covered with blood.

"I can pardon you." He got on his feet. "Accept your apology. Just tell me one thing. Where's Eve?" He took steps forward.

I growled in warning as anger within me sharpened. My hands clenched, wanting his neck under my hold. I wanted to pull his tongue out and cut it into pieces and feed him those pieces until he choked on it. My eyes were shooting a hard glare at him. It was hard to rein in my anger. But I wanted his confession. He hadn't accepted that he was the stalker. He stopped a few steps from me. "Tell me, Devil. I don't wanna kill an important person like you. I can give you money, any girl you want in this world. You'll get anything. Just fucking tell me where is she?" He shouted.

I could have killed him the day I realized who he was. But I remembered my father's words. Always kill a person with your head before pulling the trigger.

" I kept her for myself. She's happy with me. Don't ever dare to say her name." I snarled, baring my teeth.

Madness swirled in his eyes. Without another thought, he lifted the gun and began to shoot.

I dodged them, easily moving to another side, taking Drake with me. He lifted his hand but I squeezed his arm, halting him. Let him think he was winning. Such kind of victories were different in a good way.

He was breathing hard as he propelled the gun in his mad-anger. He ran his hands through his hair multiple times. "I would give you everything. Fucking everything, you fool. She's mine. I fucking want her from the day I saw her in the party." He pointed his finger at me. "You wanna go out of here alive, without a scratch. I'll let you go. Or you'll end up like him. He's still breathing. Take your friends, money and fucking give me Eve. She's mine."

I laughed to hide my anger. It was coursing through my veins, pushing me to cut him into pieces. I wouldn't give him an easy death. "You should be worried about yourself. Do you think that's cruelty? You haven't seen anything yet." My jaw twisted in wrath. It was hard to keep my beast under control when I wanted to end his time.

"Look around yourself. I'm giving you one last chance. If you won't tell me, I'll find her. But you and your friends." He growled in madness. His gaze turned to Drake.

"Well, it's your last chance. There's the door." Drake gestured with his thumb at his back at the door. "Run! You won't hear it from us again." He mocked, pushing him to the edge of madness.

"Shoot him." He shouted to his men.

The hall echoed with gunshots. His madness filled eyes dilated with shock when he witnessed his men's dead bodies dropping on the ground.

He began to shout curses looking around him. Shock made his feet freeze.

I lifted my hand in the air. It stopped spreading a deadly silence. The smell of blood hit my nose. My anger was still there. It wouldn't calm me down until I scented his blood, until I didn't see him dying.

He rushed forward. "I'll kill you. You piece of shit! I was giving you money, women, property. But you fucking picked to die." He stomped his feet madly.

"He's crazy." Drake shook his head. Ignoring him, he turned to Max to help him.

Andrew swung his fist at me. I jumped on my feet dodging it. He came forward with another fist.

I arched my arm pushing his fisted hand away, and kicked him in the guts.

He stumbled back and glared at me with red angry eyes. He slid his hand under his coat and took out a long blade. He tossed to between his hands and smirked up at me as he bent forward trying to see my face.

He jumped forward clinching it aiming at my heart. My hand curled around his hand. I slammed my knee between his legs. I had always told my wife to do so.

He hit the floor as pain shot through his body.

I threw the knife away. My dark gaze was glaring at him. Many thoughts were running in my mind. I would kill him in the most brutal way.

Alberto came forward. Code handed him the rope and he tied his legs and arms. They yanked him from the ground.

"You can't capture me. I'm the boss. The boss of bosses. I'm Andrew Rego. My men would kill you. Let me go, I'll spare your life." He hissed in pain.

I pulled the mask down and slid my hand in my hair removing the hood.

His eyes bulged out in fear and shock. After a full minute of realizing what he saw, he bared his teeth. "You were dead. I planted the bomb in your plane myself." He yelled out of his lungs, drowning in his failure.

"I wasn't in the plane." I waved my hand in the air. It was always easy to capture him after knowing his plan but I did not until I knew who was with him. I couldn't wait to meet Uncle. We weren't close. But it was about our family. He should discuss with me that his eccentric son was blackmailing him.

They dragged kicking-shouting-Andrew out of the warehouse.

"Sergie took Max to the hospital." Drake said. Disappointment could be seen in his eyes.

It wasn't always his brain that kept him alive but his madness would bring him a torturous death.

"Spill," My jaw locked.

"He killed Antonio Sir, boss." He gulped as he landed the news.

My chest tightened painfully. I tried to keep my family safe. Uncle tried to play this game alone. I knew he held himself responsible for my plane blast. But it was he who hired Devil to keep me and my wife safe. I was the Devil. He contacted me, shared Andrew's plan with me and his intention to keep me safe and away from the city until he killed him. It was my decision to lie to him that Devil couldn't save him.

"Inform Tom and Cristiano." I told him. Tears weren't my thing. I didn't want to lose him. He should understand it wasn't his fault if his son was stolen from the day of his birth and brought up by Tan to be our enemy. Andrew was so blinded by hatred that he kept his twin sister captured for a month and killed her husband.

"Boss, the press is ready to interview you," said, coming from behind me.

I nodded, turning away to the door. Drake handed me the keys of my car. "You should change, boss." He said.

"I'm stopping in my way. I'll be there in twenty minutes. I want to check it yourself." I told him.

Next, he held out my phone. "Ok, boss."

I took it from him and strode over to the car. A lot of things were going to change now. We lost one of our family members. We were also going to welcome a family member in the house. Life wasn't always the same, but love was inevitable, eternal.

I pulled the car in. I ran my hand through my hair as I stared at it. I inhaled deeply as I reached for the door. I stepped out of the car with a stern look.

Code came running to my side. "There were snakes in his room. It's safe now, boss." Code said, matching his strides with my long strides.

"Tom?" I asked under my breath. I took the stairs and entered the hall.

"Sir reached an hour ago with Mini ma'am and the kid." He said.

Mini was sitting on the couch holding her baby. A hard body collided with me and his arms wrapped around my neck. "The days were hell."

I embraced him. "I never thought he would kill Uncle."

He pulled back his head and shook it. "He didn't trust us. He should tell you, me." He huffed in anger.

My hand gripped his shoulder and stared into his eyes. His eyes were sad and anger on his face.

"Evie?" My head jerked at Mini as she stood behind her husband.

"She's coming with Cristiano." I told her.

She stepped ahead and forwarded her arms. "Hold her." she whispered.

I stared at her as she had grown a second head. My eyes went back to the little girl. She had Tom's eyes and hair. She was a healthy baby as Mini used to be before her wedding.

"She won't bite." Tom said.

I let out a slow breath and held my arms out. She placed her and withdrew her arms slowly. "That's it. Was it difficult?" Mini asked.

I shook my head like a dumb person. It was her baby girl that saved Mini's life. If she weren't pregnant. And Uncle wouldn't have insisted. Andrew would have killed her. I would never understand his mentality.

"What's her name?" I asked, looking at her down. She kept staring at me, flashing her cute smile, wiggling her legs and tiny hands. I was scared to move.

"Gaelyn Rego." Tom whispered, brushing the back of his knuckle on her cheek.

She let out a joyful squeal. "You should hold her back, Mini."

She sadly chuckled. "Evie won't like it if you'll ask her to hold back Darius." She took her back as walked over to the couch.

I remembered Uncle calling my baby with this name too.

"He baptized our kids. If you don't like the name." I cut off Tom.

"Darius is fine." I nodded.

Code entered in the hall. "Boss,"

"We have to do this." Tom said sadly.

I patted his back and motioned him to go first. I wanted to meet him but not his dead body. I motioned at Code to stay with Mini. There was no danger now but problems didn't come knocking at your door.
