Chapter 74 45

Chapter 74 45

I woke up with a startle. Two hands were touching me. I yanked them away and reached for my gun under the pillow.

"How dare you come into my room and touch me." My eyes were wide open as I stared at him.

Her eyes widened in fear. She stumbled back. "Just routine checkup, ma'am."

"What kind of a check up is this that you couldn't wait for me to wake up?" I asked exasperatedly.

"Ma'am." She gestured with her hand to lower my voice. Her dreadful eyes turned to the door. "You and baby are healthy. Nothing to worry about." She whispered in fear of someone hearing us.

I snorted.I might not know the things like Mini and Rose. But I love my baby. I ate on time.

A loud noise of something falling and someone arguing reached my ears. I got on my feet and paced over to the door. It was already unlocked. Then I remembered, Tom closed it behind him.

My eyes dilated in a thunderstruck when Tom's head snapped to one side with the impact of a hard blow. Anger coursed through me seeing blood at the one corner of his lips. No one could hurt my brother in law. I lifted my gun. Without lifting my gaze to his face I shot twice.

He dodged every bullet. His ominous laughter filled the air.

Icy-cold dread seeped through my veins as my eyes rested on his evil face. My hand trembled. I pulled back my hand. My feet flattered.

"Evie," Tom curled his arm around me, balancing me.

"You dare to touch her. " He took out his gun and charged at him.

I shifted on my feet coming between his aim and gun. Dread gripped me like a fist, my body was trembling in fear.

"I sent Five away." My head snapped to Tom as he murmured in my ear. It went dead silent in the house. Was he mad? "He would have killed them." He added immediately, murmuring in my ear again

"Boss," The same doctor stood keeping her distance from me.

"Here," His nasty dark smile pulled over his face. "What does my future wife's health say?" He asked in a cheerful tone to me which wasn't matching his evil eyes.

"Ma'am is weak. No doctor would prefer sx in this condition until forty five days after delivery." She said with a bow head.

My whole body trembled in fear. My dreadful eyes snapped to her. My entire body tense, fear gripped me.

"I won't let him come near to you." Tom murmured but nothing could placate my trembling. My blood turned cold.

His nasty smirk was replaced with a loud grunt and a grimace at the lady doctor. He lifted his hand and pulled the trigger twice. Her body dumped to the floor lifeless.

I stared at her in shock. My hand tightened on my gun but I couldn't lift it and pull the trigger. The copper smell of blood filled my nostrils. I clamped my mouth.

"Clean it." Andrew shouted at the top of his lungs.

I flinched and felt the need to throw up. Tom tucked my hair away, holding me by my shoulder. "Evie, don't look at her."

I controlled my sickness, imagining the happy face of my husband.

"I said. Don't touch her. She's mine." Aggressively, he stomped forward to hit Tom again.

I clenched my fist and threw it in his face as hard as I could. My heart was drumming in my ears.

Blood oozed from his nose. He touched the side of his nose with big eyes. He brought it in front of his face. Aggression disappeared and he flashed a full grin. "I love this."

Startled, I stumbled. Tom tightened his hold on my shoulder.

"You should be in a mental asylum." Tom cursed.

He kept on laughing. "I love this. I love you. I love every single thing about you." His expression changed abruptly, turning menacing. He glowered at us. "I saw you first. You should be mine. You should be pregnant with my baby." He launched himself forward.

My heart began to double-pound in my chest in fear.

Tom took his gun out. "I'll kill this eccentric."

Before he could do anything, my mind took over and I spat on his face. It went dead, disturbing silence. I could feel Tom tensing behind me. He pulled me back, stepping forward. He was ready to shield me from anything he would throw at me.

He wiped his hand and stared at it. He began to laugh heartily. My stomach churned with dread. He darted out his tongue and licked it. I felt like vomiting.

Tom held me. I swallowed hard as my body began to tremble. His eyes were filled with lust as he lifted them to me. I cringed in disgust.

"Soon," His smirk widened.

I paled in terror. I looked away immediately, hiding my body behind Tom. My skin was prickling, my heart was running wild.

"I won't do what he did to me. Our Son. Would be the heir. You can hide, Eve. But in the end, you'll be mine." He laughed darkly again.

It's my and Duante's baby. I shouted in my head. But I couldn't bring myself to speak. I was whitened as a ghost.

"Evie," Tom gripped my shoulders and shook me. He tugged me away from him.

My eyes burnt with tears. My lower lip tremored. I couldn't bring myself to look at his back. "I would have killed myself if I weren't pregnant. Perhaps, he's dead." A shiver ran down my spine considering my husband dead. My fingers tightened around his arm to support my legs.

" Evie, don't say this. We have only five minutes. Go to your room and lock it. They'll help you, protect you over their death." Tom patted the side of my cheek.

I was still looking at him with horror-filled eyes. He twisted it to the door of my room. He opened it wide.

"Is he dead, Tom?" My heart hammered in my ribs, my breath was snapping over my lips. Duante should be here with me, beating the hell out of him. He should torture him in a most unique and barbaric way.

"No!" He shook his head.

Rocky came into the hall looking badly beaten. "Sir, we're running out of time."

"Take care of yourself and baby." He kissed my cheek and shoved me toward the door gently.

I embraced him. I didn't know what he had planned but it would keep that evil lunatic person away from me. I could do anything to have it.

"I've called dad. I'm going to pretend to be their side. I need time. I'll find him." He said, hugging me back.

I pulled back and stormed into the room. Assassin zipped the bag filled with my clothes.

Devil was grasping the gun at his side. His feet quickened at me. He clicked the door locked. "This way, ma'am." His gloved fingers curled around my arm and he tugged me toward the washroom.

Assassin opened it wide and disappeared in. My eyes darted around as I went into the washroom. There was a giant hole in the stone wall enough for Assassin to pass through it easily.

I stared at it. His words were still hovering over my mind. I couldn't think straight. I let out a muffled cry as my feet swept off the ground. He strode over to the wall. I tried to peer through the crack of his hood and mask which was revealing his amber eyes. I had seen him. He lowered himself.

Assassin's face came into view. He lifted his arms, taking me from him easily. I was four months pregnant and it still seemed that I weighed nothing to them.

He kept striding in the forest. I gazed over his shoulder. There were twelve including Ben, Victor, Blackie, Cey, Jackie and Assassin. My heart was drumming in my chest. I was afraid he would come and attack us.

"Put me down." I told him.

"That won't be wise. We can't slow our pace." Devil said looking down at his phone. I was wondering how he would be managing to see under his hood. It was easy to recognize his companions. They were dressed like him but I could recognize Aaron. He was the head of them.

"I'm pregnant but I'm not vulnerable. I can..."

"You're brave. I'm not doubting. But a woman is delicate in her pregnancy. I wouldn't use it for you either. But,.. ma'am, he's eccentric. I would advise you to stay away from him." Assassin said, his eyes were on the path.

"Cover your ears, ma'am." I heard someone saying.

"I want to shoot him in the head but my husband will choose..." My words were cut off with a loud blast. My eyes jerked away from him, darting around. I saw black smoke rising in the air. What's that?"

"Nothing, ma'am. That psycho would think you were in that helicopter. And boom." Another hooded-man gestured with his hands.

Shocked, I glanced at him with big eyes. "Why didn't I think this?" My voice is full of excitement. I would be dead for him. He wouldn't bother me any longer.

Devil opened the back door of the black armoured SUV. "You can throw a party later. But now, keep quiet. His men are still around us. "

I nodded, contemplating over the plan. That was a brilliant idea. I shivered recalling his intentions.

"You're safe, ma'am." Assassin assured me as he placed me gently in the back seat.

"I know." I didn't realize when the tears welled down my eyes. I lowered my eyes to hide my tears. Where they were taking me, I would be safe.
