A date with him?
I don't usually take time to get ready every morning because I'm always sure if what to wear immediately I stared at my closet.
Today was quite different and nerve racking. Luciano promised to take me somewhere. I don't care what anyone said but to me, it was like a date.
I had to wear something extra special. I knew what to wear for an occasion like this but what if I overdressed and we just went to a beach.
But then, why would he take me to the beach? Oh, decisions, decisions, decisions.
I could not keep up with them.
After he was ready to go yesterday, getting him outside was the hardest part.
I had to convince Greg and Lilian that they needed a nap to think about everything that had happened in the day. It was not easy but I finally got then to go to their rooms. That was how I signalled Luciano to come downstairs.
I could tell that he did not like it one bit but was grateful that he just went along with it and did not make a big fuss.
I still can't believe that I made my own boss sneak out if my house. He surprised me by being so welcoming yesterday.
Finally, I settled for a skintight black maxi dress with a turtle neck and long sleeves. It was professional for work and a date... If possible. But it was also sexy. The way it hugged my skin made it a very nice dress. I liked the way it hugged me all around my waist especially.
I paired it with white strapy heels and a black coat. Yes, I looked like I was going to fashion week cause, why not?
It rained last night so it was quite cold, that was why I was wearing a coat.
After eating breakfast, j said my goodbyes to Greg and Lilian before leaving for work.
I offered them to stay with me till they figured out the next step in their relationship. Whatever it was, I was ready to support them as long as it made them happy.
I had my own opinions on how they should settle things and cone to an amicable agreement but it was not my case to intervene. They had to come to the conclusion themselves and at their own time.
If anything, I must just be supportive.
The rude to Luciano's company was a one filled with excitement and an unusual amount of giddiness. I felt giddy and excited at the same time.
I did not know what to expect so I tried my best not to be too excited. Getting disappointed was the last things I wanted today.
If you don't expect much, there is no way you'd be getting disappointed.
When I got to his company, parked my car in the parking lot then made my way into the company.
I took the usual elevator and greeted the employees as usual. Believe and precise.
"The boss will be expecting you, madam." His secretary told me.
I nodded my head. "thank you."
After knocking and receiving no reply as usual, I pushed the door open.
This time, he was not looking at documents but having a phone call. This language was more familiar, like the one Greg and Lilian usually conversed in so I was certain.that it was Italian.
I took my seat casually and that was when he decided to look at me.
Our eyes met for a brief second before he looked away and continued his conversation.
I brought out my phone and sent sine emails to my personal assistant. I had a company to run too. There was no way I would be forgetting that.
"Good morning." I greeted when he was done with his call.
"Good morning." He greeted back, his eyes on the piles of documents in front of him.
"When will you start saying come in?" I asked curiously.
I did not need to specify because he knew what I was talking about. "when did that ever stop you from coming into my office?"
He shrugged. "when I don't get a reply, I have no choice." I defended.
"I am not judging you for that." He says to me then brought out a pen from his drawer. "Saying come in is just a waste of time."
I raised my brows. "how is that so? So anyone can just come into your office?"
He scoffed, the kind of scoff that implied his pride. "do I appeal to you as the kind if man who let just anyone into his office?" He asked.
I shook my head. "no, you don't."
"Then why would you think that would be the case?" He asked.
I wanted to reply but he made things easier by explaining himself. "before you come into my office, my secretary always let's you know that I am expecting you, right?" He asked.
That was true so I nodded in affirmation. "right."
"I inform her about the guests I expect every time. If I am not expecting anyone and they manage to get past that elevator, my secretary stops them. If she's not able to, my door will." Be told me.
"How will your door do that?" I asked him.
"If I am not expecting anyone, my door is always locked. I only open it when I want to receive a guest. Not even my secretary comes in without permission. Unless I forgot go close the door." He simply explained. I normally saw a remote on his table so I got what he was trying to say.
"Before you get into my elevator, you collect a pass from the lobby right?" He asked.
I nodded. "for that pass I usually use my fingerprint."
"Well, that's it. You can not access my elevator without that pass. That is why I don't see the reason to say fine in after going through all those measures." He said nonchalantly.
Even though I hated to admit it, everything he said seemed to make sense.
He stood up suddenly. "Alright, are you ready?"
Wait, we were leaving now?
