 “Because Julia wanted revenge on you, so I gave her the chance to be my wife and marry you.”

“You’re insolent!”

“I love Julia,” Kay replied. “I love Julia so much, but I’m afraid my love will destroy her.”

“Then stop.”

“So?” Kay asked. “Do you expect me to stop my revenge? They’re evil and they deserve my revenge?” Kay asked again.

“Or do you want to avenge all those who killed my parents?”

“I want to help you, but not in this way! I also know they’re the real state criminals I’ve been so desperate to catch! But what you say is true if there’s never been a truth for me to fight for, damn it!”

Robin was starting to get emotional.

"There will never be justice in your case, because they all need your money. Moreover, the moment you show yourself in public, within minutes the rest of the killers will hunt you down and murder that man in a horrific manner."

"That's why I'm staying silent now, trying to be a spectator."
"Actually, there's still one big secret I haven't revealed. It's not just that I'm the child of parents who have been treated horribly by an irresponsible group of high-ranking officials in this country. And I'm absolutely certain that if you knew that, your assessment of me would immediately change. You'd hate me and pray for my quick death, or even go back to the police force to arrest me."

Robin had no idea that the man's last sentence would disturb her so much. Just how many secrets was the man hiding that she could have been so confused, because this was something she could never have imagined. Or was there a secret so terrifying? But even if so, did Julia know about it? Robin was so curious that he wanted to ask the woman about this, but Julia was currently very secretive and didn't want anyone to question her. And he was absolutely certain the woman's reason for doing this was that, as a wife, she was naturally trying to protect the man she considered her husband. Robin mendengus, siapa sangka jika istrinya sekarang menelepon dan ini adalah sebuah situasi yang sama sekali tidak tepat.

“ maafkan aku, istriku sayang. Akan tetapi ada masalah pribadi yang harus aku selesaikan, bisakah kamu memberiku waktu? Katakan kepada ayah kalau aku akan pulang tiga hari lagi. Ada banyak masalah yang harus aku selesaikan sekarang kan tidak ada satu orang pun yang bisa menyelesaikan masalah ini selain aku.”

“ apakah ini ada hubungannya dengan kematian dari beberapa anggota pemerintahan yang begitu sangat mengerikan itu?”

Istrinya Robin memang sebenarnya sudah mengetahui kalau dia adalah mantan anggota kepolisian, dan tentu saja wanita itu pasti mengetahui alasan kenapa suaminya tiba-tiba menghilang terlebih adanya berita yang begitu sangat menggemparkan di negaranya seperti ini.

“ bolehkah aku kembali menjadi polisi beberapa hari ini? Entah mengapa aku merasa tergerak sekali dengan kasus ini dan aku merasa jika semua ini ada kaitannya dengan anak dari pengusaha yang dibunuh dengan cara tragis itu. Dan bukankah pengusaha itu adalah sahabat dari ayahmu? Apakah ayahmu mengetahui sesuatu tentang keberadaan anak laki-laki itu? Dan aku harap sekali laki akhir ayahmu bisa memberikan beberapa kesaksian dan aku meminta kamulah yang bertanya. Sebab kalau aku yang bertanya langsung kepada ayahmu dia pasti akan mengetahui siapa aku dan tentunya identitas akan terbongkar. Saat ini aku sedang mencoba untuk mengumpulkan beberapa barang bukti dan juga mencari tahu tentang apa yang terjadi, hanya saja aku begitu sangat yakin kepanikan dari semua pemerintahan itu tidak lain karena mereka panik ingin menyelamatkan diri masing-masing dan ketakutan atas kematian yang telah membayang-bayangi mereka. Dan aku begitu sangat yakin jika mereka saat ini pasti sedang mencari di mana anak laki-laki itu berada untuk segera di habisi karena mereka pasti sudah yakin sumber dari masalah ini adalah adas dendam dari seorang anak yang orang tuanya dibunuh dengan cara tragis, itulah alasan dari semuanya enggak aku sendiri tidak tahu harus bagaimana untuk mengatasi semua masalah ini.”

"Then what should I do? I don't want anything to happen to you either. I just want to see you safe and live a normal life like any other businessman, without having to get involved in criminal matters again. Didn't I tell you that from the start?"

Hearing this, Robin's initially hardened heart immediately melted. He knew he was only giving half of his heart to his wife, because after all, his deepest love was solely for Julia. But knowing his wife was so sincere and worried about him like this, what husband wouldn't feel hurt? Even now, he didn't know whether he would be safe and able to resolve this case successfully. Because of course he felt there was no one he could trust to help him solve this case other than the detective he had met some time ago and Julia, while these two people were also like him: people who had no influence whatsoever in this country. Certainly when he and these two people tried to reveal the truth of what happened in the past and uphold all that justice, then punish everyone there instead of getting the truth and justice, they would surely be killed in the same sadistic manner because they were considered to have exposed a case that was insulting and also disgraced members of the government that was so terrible.

"Julia, are you still at the crime scene? What have you found there? Is Mr. Michelle there too?"
