Chapter 61 Starting to Get Curious About Kay
"I'm incredibly curious about this man named Mr. Alexander. It would be incredibly extraordinary to bring home such a priceless piece of jade. No one would ever give it to someone they don't even know so well. I'm incredibly curious, and besides being happy, I'm also quite suspicious. This would create a very complicated problem if he obtained such a valuable object through such a horrific method."
Hearing this, his son naturally smiled, and the man looked at his father with a very serious gaze. Adam's family was one that always upheld truth and honesty, even though anyone could tell that no successful businessman had found a way to commit a crime, whether intentionally or unintentionally. This was a fact no one could deny. The man then sat down, enjoying his legs and sipping the wine on the table, seemingly enjoying it immensely when he learned from several experts who dealt with the matter of such unique objects that it was confirmed that the gift from the wife of a figure named Mr. Alexander was genuine. Imagine, even if the object were sold by a businessman, it could reach billions of dollars and could even build dozens of companies at one time. In fact, it seemed that no company or even businessman could afford to buy this item for repair. Even though they really wanted to, they could only imagine because of course this was a very mysterious choice that would certainly never be able to be replaced by anyone. The assumption was like the moon and the stars, that was the object that had now belonged to their family, so very beautiful but no one would be able to touch it at all because this was an object that was very expensive and of extraordinary value, of course.
"Come on, Dad. Don't overthink it. I actually think this is a necessity for that young man. He's a very young man. When I met him, I thought he wasn't a businessman, but rather a thug or an artist. He's incredibly handsome, and he even has tattoos all over his body. His appearance isn't particularly neat, but he looks incredibly masculine. At first glance, any woman would fall in love with a man like this. He's extraordinary inside and out. But unfortunately, when I spoke to him, I didn't expect him to look so incredibly powerful. So I think he probably doesn't know this item has such extraordinary value. He just happened to get it, either through a family inheritance or by chance, at a price that was probably below normal."
Hearing his son's words made Mr. Adam raise an eyebrow. Was Kay Alexander really such a stupid man? After all, who doesn't understand men and know him?
He was a high-class businessman who could even establish multiple companies in one go, seemingly never running out of money. Even though he'd been exposed to various media posts and magazines, when asked about his sources of income and funding, it all seemed incredibly mysterious. He simply stated that he came from a very wealthy family, and that buying hundreds of factories at once was quite easy for him. This was, of course, a choice no one could deny, and Mr. Adam was understandably curious about the background of the young man who had given him this very special and expensive stone.
"Kay Alexander, do you happen to know a man with that name? It seems quite strange. In fact, I suspect there are several reasons why I find that name so familiar."
"I've looked into the background of that family name, but I haven't found anything. Either he completely changed his identity, or he actually has a family but is hiding it, and no one knows. What's clear is that he's standing alone without any help, and that's quite extraordinary."
"What happened to you, Erik? Earlier you seemed so condescending to that man, and now you're so flattering him, as if he were some unfathomable perfection no one could ever fathom. I think after you first met, you began to acknowledge him, seeing how deeply you understand his identity."
"What can I do, Dad? My curiosity is so intense that I want to find out everything he owns, his financial resources, and so on. And there hasn't even been a single bad thing happening all this time, which makes me quite surprised; he's too perfect and not too pretentious as a person."
"And what about his wife?"
"I've also found out and investigated his wife's identity, but from what I've gathered, she's from a relatively ordinary background. She's not a conglomerate or a particularly wealthy businesswoman at all. For some reason, Mr. Alexander suddenly fell for her. She's indeed very beautiful and quite attractive, but I think, as a well-known businessman, it would be very encouraging for her to marry into the upper class as well. But when you turn around and dress like that, you can see for yourself that she's quite a classy woman, and even worthy of being with us."
Mr. Adam fell silent again. For some reason, he felt something inside Julia. There were many things that truly intrigued him about who this woman was, and for some reason, it became a debate within himself that was far more unique than anything else.
"We have to find out because I'm so curious about this woman. Her movements indicate that she's no ordinary woman, and she possesses an incredibly assertive and cautious demeanor."
Mr. Adam believed there was something different about Kay, and this was certainly the strongest reason for him to meet her no matter what.
"Erik, I hope you meet with Mr. Alexander and schedule a meeting with him for me. I feel there's something I need to clarify so that everything can be clear to both of us in a friendly manner, without any hidden details."
"Are you suspicious?"
"No, just curious. Someone so young and wealthy, can you imagine if we met him and became close business partners? We could gain a lot from that."
