Chapter 44 Young Master
And the person she had been waiting for finally arrived, a young man with a sturdy and quite tall build. Julia looked at the figure, who seemed familiar, but her attention was immediately drawn to Kay, who appeared silent even though the man had already extended his hand and smiled so gently. The man's face indeed looked so very gentle and warm, a stark contrast to everything the company owner had accused her of. Whether the man was related by blood or not, it was clear as if this company was truly offering a very sweet and familial collaboration. "I'm absolutely certain that you are guests awaiting Mr. Adam's arrival, aren't you? Mr. Adam is extremely busy right now, and he has to finish some work today because it can't be postponed any longer. For various reasons, and yesterday he was unable to do anything due to family matters, so today, with a heavy heart, Mr. Adam must inform you that he cannot meet with you today. However, as an apology, Mr. Adam has provided you with several documents and several offers. I hope you can choose one of the offers that you would consider, and Mr. Adam will agree to any cooperation, as his intentions are truly good."
"Excuse me, who are you?"
"You could say I'm Mr. Adam's deputy, or you can call me Young Master Adam."
And it turned out that after all that explanation, the young man before them was Mr. Adam's son. They both stood up immediately, their faces completely at a loss for what to do. Finally, they smiled so sweetly, especially Kay, seeing what was before them.
"Forgive us, we had no idea you were Mr. Adam's biological child. If Mr. Adam is still unable to meet with us right now, that's no problem at all. You don't need to submit any proposals, which would make things easier or even seem like a quick fix. However, there's something that strikes me as quite odd. Why don't you just talk about this business?"
Julia looked at Kay with an incredibly curious expression. How could she not? Why was her husband suddenly so interested in the man in front of her? Hadn't he been curious about Mr. Adam all along? Or was there another plan her husband had already devised to exact revenge? Not directly on Mr. Adam as she had previously imagined, but rather to avenge his hurt in the same way. That is, to destroy someone so important to Mr. Adam—a revenge that would certainly be far more painful than killing the person himself. "Of course I can't and I don't dare, sir. You've been eager to meet my father from the start. Therefore, there's absolutely no problem with us proposing that we agree. It's an honor for us to meet with one of the most respected leaders in the political world. Furthermore, the business world is vast, and friendship can be a wonderful and enjoyable path. If you've come here and offered such a pleasant friendship, we certainly respect that; it's very wise of us. We'll do whatever it takes and ensure we always maintain this business partnership well. And we're absolutely certain that whatever decision you make will benefit our company. You know your company never plays around with its decisions and always has a positive impact on other companies."
Kay smiled wryly at this. This man hadn't expected such extraordinary praise, even though he'd used a different name for this partnership offer. But of course, who didn't know his company? A company that will surely provide manifold benefits to all its business partners and will certainly offer something truly special to anyone who wants to collaborate with it.
"You praise me too much, and this will be one of the best reasons for me to offer you such an attractive partnership. You just have to choose a definite answer. A partnership with 10x, 100x, or even 1,000x profits is an attractive option, isn't it?"
Julia swallowed hard upon hearing that, a truly terrifying boast coming from her husband's mouth. It was as if he were a god who could guarantee the profits of anyone who collaborated with him. After all, wasn't it already abundantly clear that business is unpredictable; sometimes profits are multiplied, and sometimes losses are inevitable. This was no exception for even large entrepreneurs. So how could her husband do such a strange thing? Saying so confidently and proudly that he could provide such extraordinary profits, as if he were gambling. Julia then smiled, she understood all of this perfectly well. How could she not? Wasn't her husband's money from something so terrifying? The money his employees had earned as a mafia was already incalculable, and taking advantage of the money he had certainly wasn't a loss. And it was highly likely that her husband would take the money from there to cover any potential losses. Finally, the woman smiled wryly after reading her husband's thoughts.
"I think this offer will be very beneficial for both of you, and it's also very good, right?" Julia suddenly interrupted the conversation, which finally made Kay turn to her.
"Why?" Kay asked.
"What do you want to do now, hm? After everything that has happened, now you're going to try to ruin everything with your own two hands? It seems your revenge has changed course, doesn't it?" Julia whispered.
Kay just smiled without answering, then she returned her focus to the man in front of her.
"Let me introduce you, Young Master. She's my wife. I'm sure she's been upset that I didn't introduce her to you. I'm sorry, but we were so engrossed in our conversation that I forgot I wasn't here with my secretary or any of my other employees, but with my beloved wife, and now she's sulking."
Julia was embarrassed to hear Kay say that, but she always tried to smile, having pushed her embarrassment as far as possible.
"My name is Julia. It's a pleasure to meet you, Young Master, a young entrepreneur like you."
