Chapter 27 Cooperation
The signing ceremony symbolized the investment agreement between both parties. Of course, this made Robin feel incredibly inflated. The man had secured such a substantial investment, and this would make everything much easier. Moreover, this investment was guaranteed by Kay, the husband of his ex-girlfriend, which naturally made Robin even more determined to do more. The man would show Kay that he was capable and could do everything on his own, he would prove that he wasn't the man Kay imagined.
Meanwhile, Kay herself felt that it wasn't a huge sum of money. She knew it was worth millions of dollars and could even build a new company. But for her, as long as it could tie down the woman who was now her husband, she would do anything. He still had a lot of dirty money, and this money given to Robin was dirty money that had been sitting idle for a long time, and she didn't know where to dispose of it. The man still sat quietly, his legs crossed, staring at Robin with a gaze that was so sharp and so extraordinary.
“I need to know and emphasize here so that everyone knows firsthand that none of this would have happened if it weren’t for my wife. My wife is a very generous woman, a very gentle woman, and even extraordinarily generous. My wife can even tell me to do anything and I will agree without a second thought. She is the most beautiful woman in this world and she is a woman who is very loyal. It would be very strange if there was a man who could hurt her or treat her in such a cruel way, let alone abandon her. And as a husband, shouldn’t I always obey my wife’s requests? Is everything I said true, Sir?” Kay asked his father-in-law Robin about this matter directly as if insinuating, and of course, his father-in-law Robin immediately laughed and confirmed what Kay said.
"We are so incredibly happy and grateful to your wife, Sir. We never imagined that your wife would possess such extraordinary insight and such compassion. Without her, I'm absolutely certain we would never have passed the examination of what we expected of you. Whenever your wife comes here, we will welcome her with warm, and indeed, extraordinary, open arms. We assure you that your wife will be an honored guest, always treated with the utmost respect."
"Of course, because I've entrusted this responsibility to my wife. I'd like to ask her to come here occasionally to review what's happening and what progress your company has made. The first month, the second month, or even several weeks in a row, to anticipate whether the money I've given you is being handled well and properly. After all, this is money I've always held so dearly. I don't actually care if it runs out or disappears. However, as a businessman, I have to calculate which ones to keep when they're profitable and which ones not. Because in business, not only other people, but even family becomes another person because all they think about is profit and loss, not just pity."
Robin's father-in-law and Robin swallowed hard. Both of them had no idea that the man before them would possess such a sharp, even terrifying, mind. Both of them never thought that there was a businessman who even had such extraordinary passion, and they were sure that this thought was what made the man who looked so young succeed at a truly extraordinary age. They even knew that Kay was the only young businessman who had a huge influence throughout the world and had such fantastic wealth. It was never expected, especially Robin, that his ex-girlfriend would marry a man with an iPad like this, which made Robin think twice, where did Julia know her husband? It was truly a very complicated thing to even imagine and even until whenever Robin still felt so very confused.
"Whatever happens, we'll make sure it's okay, sir. We'll manage your money very well, and we won't let it all go to waste."
And in the end, Robin gave in. He was no longer the arrogant man who would even fight anything Kay said. He was truly someone who respected whatever decision Kay made. It would have been quite stressful for anyone if he had always been stubborn in his various attitudes. "Every problem will find a solution, and every decision carries significant risks, depending on the decision itself. However, seeing how stubborn you are and how well you've managed this money makes me curious about your abilities and even your potential. This makes me realize that you truly are an extraordinary person capable of making things even better. And even if I do eventually see something truly extraordinary and whatever potential you hold within you, I'm incredibly grateful. I hope you can show me that you're capable of becoming an extraordinary entrepreneur. I think that would make much more sense than constantly questioning and even denying everything you've done."
Kay also wondered why he should be so hasty and stubborn just because of this problem. Because, fundamentally, it wasn't his problem at all, and he knew all too well that business was business, regardless of who the person was, whether they were evil or not. As long as they benefited him, he would do anything. Besides, Julia also didn't mind whatever her decision was, the woman was at least a mature woman and even quite realistic in everything. Even the woman was able to put aside her ego and not even think about something so bad or even whether the person had hurt her or not, and for some reason that was enough to make Kay feel that Julia was a truly extraordinary person.
“Can I just ask you one thing, sir? I know that I don’t have any right to ask this, but I’m really very curious about this one thing and I want to know it directly from your mouth. Even if you don’t want to answer my question, it doesn’t matter, I respect every decision that happens and I also respect what you might want or don’t want to say.”
