Chapter 103: Cravings

Chapter 103: Cravings
“Dear Goddess, that is so gross!” Austin and Rollings said, scrunching their face.

“Told ya it was gross.” Safyer said, dipping a sardine in a jar of chocolate peanut butter.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat chocolate peanut butter again.” Tarby wines.

“How do you think I feel?” Safyer asked, “I’m the one eating it. And I have no idea why,” she huffed. “All I know is that this stuff is delicious at this moment.” She said, indulging in she chocolate peanut butter covered sardine.

“That will go away once the pup is born.” Kristy chuckled. “And you will NEVER want to those two in the same room ever again.” She snickered.

“The thing is, I hate Sardines and now I can’t seem to get enough of these disgusting little things.” She said, smacking her lips.

“So, mom,” Zoltan said, looking at Kristy, “how many more of these craving is my beautiful mate going to have?” He asked, smiling at Safyer.

“It doesn’t matter because you better make sure I get whatever YOUR pup is in the mood for.” Safyer pointed a chocolate peanut butter covered sardine in his direction.

“Of course, Sweetcheeks, whatever you and our pup is in the mood for, you both will have.” He smiled and patted her still flat stomach.

“You know since everyone is here,” Iza started, “we were waiting for confirmation which we got this morning.” She continued.

“Well, spit it out!” Austin demanded.

“So impatient.” Iza snickered, well, we are all in for a wild ride.” She started, “because I’m preggers, also.” She giggled.

All the females squealed in excitement. “So, are we!” Kat and Violet blurted.

“Wholly shit,” Jordon chuckled, before getting a knuckle to the top of his head. “Owie, that hurt, Pops,” he said, rubbing his head and frowning at Vega.

“Be glad it was me and not either of your mama’s.” Vega snickered, looking in Kristy and Celeste’s direction.

“Oh, yeah, sorry mamas.” Jordon rolled his lips into his teeth. “Anyway, the whole Alpha Queen unit preggers at the same time? We are in a world of hurt.” He chuckled, “they can already kick our asses, but one wrong word and they will all gang up on us.”

“That’s right, pregnant or not, we can still kick your scrawny ass.” Iza snickered.

“They kick our asses just for fun.” Austin grinned and wiggled his fingers at Violet. He pulled Kat closer and nuzzled her neck. “We are gonna be parents.” He sighed.

“Yup, that means you and Rollins will need to grow up.” Kat smiled.

“Nah, we will be their playmates.” He snickered.

Celeste was beaming. “Are you happy my love?” Vega asked his mate.

“My cup runeth over.” She smiled, as a tear made its way down her cheek.

“Then why are you crying?” He asked, wiping the tears from her cheeks.

“These are happy tears.” She said with a watery smile. “We’re going to be grandparents.

“Your dream has finally come true.” Vega embraced his mate.

They all chatted excitedly and talked about remodeling the rooms that would hold all the pups. They’d also need to find the guards who’d watch and protect all the new pups.

“I hate to break this up,” Vega started, “but we need to deal with Mason’s funeral.” He sighed. “Then we need to deal with Byron, Mary, Amber and her parents.”

“I thought gramps was gonna take Mary and Amber with them?” Safyer asked.

“He’s already spoken with the other elders and have decided on the punishment. They will be sentenced to 30 years each along with Beta Larson and his mate.” Vega explained. “The counsel has sent guards to arrest the Larson’s and bring them here. When they get here, they will be informed of their sentence and sent to the prison pack.”

“Oh, Amber and Mary are going to really love that.” Violet chuckled. “I don’t think they make designer prison uniforms.”

“At least she’ll be alive.” Safyer stated. “How much longer until her parents get here?”

“They’ll be here around six.” Tarby said.

“Okay, I want the funeral done by three,” Safyer started, “when Amber’s parents get here put them all in separate cells. Give them a simple meal, other than bread and water. I want them outta here before I get outta bed in the morning.” She ordered.

“Get everything ready for the pyre.” Zoltan said. “Let Amber, Byron and Mary know about the funeral.” He took Safyer by the hand, “you need to rest.” He told her.

“I’m fine.” She said.

“No, you’re not,” he told her. “I can feel your irritation and that usually means you need a break.”

“Zol...”

“No, arguing.” He kissed her nose. “We have time until the funeral.”

She looked up into his eyes, “how are you doing?” she asked him.

“I’m fine.” He smiled.

“You’d tell me if you weren’t okay, right?” she asked with a frown.

He kissed her forehead, “yes, I will always tell you if I wasn’t okay.” He assured her as they strolled around. Violet, Kat and Lacy were following, not being noticed. Vi and Kat were training Lacy. She was doing a great job. She picked up on everything easily.

“What about your dad?” she asked.

“Byron?” He sighed. “I know why he did what he did but that still doesn’t absolve him of everything he’s done.” He said as they quietly walked. A few pups would go up to them, and they’d stop and hang around with them.

“I’m... well, your pup is making it known that food is needed.” Safyer said with a smirk. Zoltan took her hand and gently tugged her back to the packhouse for a quick snack and maybe even a nap if he could get her to relax. “Zol, I’m fine. I just need to eat a little and I’ll be okay.” She told him.

“I know but Doc said you need to relax and you haven’t relaxed one bit.”

“There’s no point in relaxing when we have so much to do.” She said, “when we get things settled, I’ll stop and relax.” She told him. “Like I said, when they are gone by six am, things will be good and we can get back to somewhat normalcy.”

“That’s fine and all but you still need to slow down, please.” He pleaded with her.

“Okay, we’ll eat, go to Mason’s funeral and then I’ll relax tonight.” She assured.

“No one bothers us,” he started, “they can come over only if we eat and watch movies. It’s relaxation time and nothing more. Everyone needs to relax.”
