Chapter 124 Chapter 124
Logan
A sharp scream tore through the room, startling everyone. The scream came from Sienna, tears leaking out of her eyes and into her eyes as she remained lying on her back on the table.
Her grip on my hand tightened almost painfully and I arched an eyebrow at the seer. What the fuck has she done? Why had she screamed in fear? Where the hell was she?
Nyx hurriedly moved around, bringing another potion up to Sienna’s nose that immediately made her sneeze. Relief filtered into my chest when her eyes slowly opened. She gripped my hands tightly, jerking up in fear.
Her gaze snapped to the seer. “What did you do?” she demanded. “He saw me.”
I turned my head and locked eyes with Nyx. The look on her face was one of obvious confusion before she dragged her gaze back to Sienna’s. “Who saw you?”
“Dorian.” She held her head like it was heavy on her neck. “His exact words to me were, ‘Hello Sienna’”. What did you do? Was he supposed to see me?” Nyx drew her eyebrows together and the worried look in her eyes told me all I needed to know.
“How did he see her?” My voice had a dangerous calm to it.
Nyx pulled a small towel from a bowl and cleaned Sienna’s face with it. “It appears Dorian knows more about Sienna and Elias than I thought. He knows she’s Eldryn, so he must have been expecting we would do something like this.”
Sienna jumped down from the table, her hands flying out to steady herself. “What’s going to happen now?” I questioned, rushing to Sienna’s side to ensure she didn’t fall. She gripped my arm, her gaze narrowed on Nyx.
A concerned look flashed across her eyes before she quickly masked it. She turned to her crystal ball, moving her fingers across it. “I’ll have to consult the books and find out the way from here..” Sienna paled at her words.
Correctly guessing my mate’s line of thoughts, Nyx raised her hands to calm her down. “Dorian has no interest in your pup, not yet.” Her eyes lifted to me. “It’s Logan he’s interested in. He’ll try to get him to do his bidding, but ultimately Elias won’t be hurt.”
She might as well have been speaking into a void. Sienna collapsed beside me, her hands shaking. I held her tighter, nodding my thanks to Nyx. “You may leave. Please try to get whatever new information you can as soon as possible.”
“I will.”
Bowing slightly, she made her way out of the room. I steered Sienna to the nearest couch where she buried her face in her hands, her shoulders shaking. Pressing my lips together, I simply held her. No words I said would put her mind at ease until she had Elias in her arms again.
Mara headed upstairs, giving us some privacy.
Footsteps sounding before us had us raising our heads. One of the pack warriors, Liam, stood with a look that was half worried and half victorious. He held up a piece of clothing that immediately had my heart dropping to my stomach.
Sienna shot to her feet and rushed to take it from him. Her eyes bulging, she snapped her head to me. “This is a piece of Elias’s shirt, Logan. It’s a piece of the shirt he was wearing on the day he was taken.”
“Where did you get this?”
“We captured a rogue prowling around in the woods. He tried to help us track down Dorian but we lost trail of the path he’d taken. We discovered the piece of clothing as we searched the area.” My hands formed fists beside me.
“Where is he?” I demanded.
Liam gestured to the door. “We have him tied up close to the lower village.”
“Take me to him.”
Sienna wiped the tears off her face. “I’m coming with you.” There was no need to argue. We followed Liam out of the pack mansion, heading to the lower village. The rogue was tied to a pole, the rope strung so tight his skin around the cords appeared red.
Sienna marched to stand in front of him. “What do you know about this?” She questioned, waving the piece of clothing in front of his face. He shook his head frantically, his pleading eyes jumping from Sienna to me and then back.
I stood behind her, my hands crossed behind me as I took him in. Rage slowly steamed in my buns but I forced myself to keep a leash on my emotions, wanting Sienna to be done with him first.
She arched her eyebrow at him in a way that warned him to tread carefully. “Let’s try that again, this time using words.” She waved the red piece of Elias’s shirt one more time in front of him. “What do you know about this?”
“I swear I know nothing about it–“
I was in front of him in a second, my hand wrapped tightly around his neck. All the life drained from his face when he saw the pure look of murder in my eyes. “If you’re truly a rogue as you claim, then you’ve been hanging around the woods for a while. You really want to tell me you heard and saw nothing?”
“I.. heard.. something,” he coughed out. I was pissed that he’d waited for me to step in before admitting it, but I forced myself to reign in my emotions. Releasing him, I let my hand fall to the side.
He struggled to clear his throat, still looking at us with a pleading look on his face.
“While I was out of sight, I overheard a discussion going on.. they were planning on moving him.” I drew my eyebrows together. We hadn’t even found their location and they were already gearing up for a change? “But there were some issues..”
“Like what?” Sienna fired at him.
“Someone mentioned that the Alpha of the pack they’re moving him to owes Queen Sienna’s parents a blood debt.”
