Chapter 134: Obsession!
Selene, still crying, turned away from the door and walked back into the room, looking at the emptiness. She went to the bed she had shared with Lyall many times, lying down on the side he used to lie on, hugging the pillow and smelling him as her tears streamed down her face.
"It all seems so surreal. One day you were here with me and our children and the next...Ah! Lyall, I can't believe you're gone and now what will become of us?" Selene clings even tighter to the pillow and at that moment an idea comes to her. She gets up from the bed and walks over to the window, which was apparently just closed, but when she tries to force it open she realizes that it was locked and even though she tried she couldn't open it. However, her eyes turned to the door that had just been opened, revealing the figure of Jamal, which made her go towards him full of rage, slapping him in the face
"Is this your plan? Keep me trapped in here?"
"Selene, my patience has a limit. Don't do it again." Jamal touches your own red face
"Then give me back my children and my freedom. Go back to being the gentle, humble, generous and kind man I knew in the village of the moon."
Jamal smiles slightly, "I'm sorry Selene, but that muggle self of mine doesn't exist anymore. Don't try to manipulate me, do you want your children back? I've given you my condition, accept it and you'll not only have your children back, but also your freedom. Now it's up to you and take off that dress, it bothers me." Jamal fixes his eyes on Selene, who cries her frustration as Jamal leaves the room and locks it again.
Selene finally realized that she was still in her wedding dress and took it off, then went into the bathroom, stood in front of the mirror looking at herself and began to slowly undo the hairstyle in her long red hair, then it was her turn to remove her make-up, she looked at herself and said:
"I think I should accept right away that I wasn't born to be happy. In my miserable life, I've had flashes of happiness. What a setback I took from life." Selene sighs loudly, shrugs her shoulders and then takes a long shower. As she gets out, she wraps herself in the black towel she took out of the drawer. She also takes out the hairdryer and turns it on to dry her hair. As she does this, she can't hold back the tears in front of the mirror. In the aftermath, Selene placed on some comfortable clothes and lay down on her bed, closing her eyes, the image of Lyall came into her mind, the memory of the happy times they had shared over the past year and in that instant all the scenes flashed through her memory, making her cry even more, turning over in bed unable to sleep, opening her eyes while staring at the ceiling for the rest of the night until she heard the door open and a strange woman enter with a breakfast tray, drawing Selene's attention:
"Who are you? Where are Irene and Pavlos?"
The woman replies with an air of arrogance:
"I don't know. Just accept the Lycan king's generosity." The woman with a closed expression leaves the tray of food on the table on the left side of the room and then leaves without letting Selene ask any more questions, locking it again."
"I wonder what's going on?" Selene asks herself and then lies back down on the bed without touching the tray full of food.
On returning to the kitchen, the new maid is soon approached by Irene, who anxiously asks how Selene is. The maid, for her part, remains silent, which irritates Irene:
"I asked you a question, aren't you going to answer me?"
"I'm not obliged to answer you," the woman replies without looking at the housekeeper who is about to insist, but Jamal's arrival in the kitchen stops her.
"So Veronica, how is she?"
"She didn't seem very well, she looked tired and her eyes were swollen as if she'd spent the night crying."
"Got it! Why does she have to be so stubborn?" Jamal sighs
"It must be because she doesn't like you." Irene butts in
"For a mere cook you're pretty cheeky, aren't you? Don't forget that you're only here because my grandmother begged you, remember who's in charge here." Jamal leaves the kitchen to meet Nix.
"At last you've turned up. Tell me, how long are these brats going to stay in my house? I'm warning you, I don't have the patience for this and this wasn't our agreement."
"Stop complaining. I've come to pick them up to take them back to the castle. I have a plan to get Selene to agree to marry me."
"Yeah! Good luck!"
"I know you're just saying that from the mouth out, but still... thanks. What about Lyall, did you search for what you said you would?"
"Yes! But so far nothing. I think he's actually dead and may be at the bottom of the river."
"I don't know. I have a strange feeling, somehow I think he survived."
"A fall of 280 meters? Impossible."
"Nix, you're forgetting that he's a werewolf and his bloodline is the purest, so his abilities are extraordinary."
"Even so. I don't think he survived."
"I hope you're right."

At the hospital in Érbon, the neurosurgeon arrives already doing tests and at first, he notices that Lyall has had a head injury and that he would have to have emergency surgery before the worst happens, Dashell and Maeve agree.
A few hours later, the doctor leaves the operating room and goes to the two wizards waiting in a specific room.
"The surgery was a success, we managed to stop the bleeding. However, there may be after-effects, as we said before: he may fall into a coma and even lose his memory. But we'll only find out when the anesthesia wears off."
"Right. Thank you very much, Doctor! And could you not say anything about Lyall being alive?" Dashell asks, staring at the doctor
"No problem," he replies with a smile and continues on his way.
"It would be nice if Lyall stayed in a coma for a while or lost his memory, Sirion is a mess right now." Maeve lets out her opinion, sensing Dashell's disapproving look.
"You've got to be crazy. Did you hit your head too? Lyall has to recover soon and resume his position as king of the Lycans, Jamal isn't fit for this role, and besides, Selene is suffering so much. Maeve, you definitely have no empathy for anyone.
"What a lie! I do have empathy. For myself." Maeve smiles
"Speaks seriously!! But to change the subject, we need to check on Sirion and the castle."
"Do you want to know about Sirion and the castle or Selene?"
"You know me well."
"Unfortunately, yes. I can take a chance and go to Sirion to find out what's going on there."
"Thanks, Maeve!"
Back at the Lycan castle, Jamal arrives with Uriah and Wahid, the two are handed over to one of the maids and Rose, observing everything, questions him:
"Why don't you give them directly to their mother?"
"Because she hasn't agreed to marry me yet."
"Jamal, your obsession is crossing the line. I understand that you want to claim what is rightfully yours, but Selene doesn't belong to you, why don't you stop it and think about what you're doing, please!" Rose begs her grandson
"Shut up, Grandma! I don't want to fight with you." Jamal walks out of the living room, but first, he turns to the maid and says, "Don't let my grandmother take the babies, do you understand?"
"Yes, sir!" The woman lowers her head and Rose leaves indignantly for the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Selene was lying down and crying, at least until she heard the baby crying and deduced that her children were in the castle, so she ran to the door and started knocking and shouting again, asking for her children. However, her energy was low as she hadn't eaten for two days and finally, she fainted, making a loud noise as she fell, which made Jamal, who was nearby, run and open the door. When he saw his beloved lying on the floor, he picked her up and put her in bed, calling Ava to tell her what had happened, A few minutes later Ava was in her friend's room examining her and realizing that her fainting spell was due to weakness, she places a blood glucose bag and an IV into Selene's vein and she woke up and looked at Jamal:
"All right, you won. I'll marry you"
