Chapter 127: Preparations!
Everyone looks at Lyall expectantly when he says that if it's all right, Rose, Sophia and Jamal could stay in the apartment that belongs to him in the center of Sirion, in the same building that Ava currently lives in.
"Strange, with all due respect Mrs. Rose, you don't want to continue living here because of your grandson, but are you going to accept the apartment Lyall has in the city center? Have you thought about how Jamal would feel? Either you stop this nonsense about leaving or find a place that isn't uncomfortable and humiliating for Jamal. This is a testosterone war and neither of them wants to lose. Hasn't anyone noticed yet?" Leila jumps into the conversation and gives her opinion
"I agree with Leila, I understand the nostalgia you must have in your heart, Grandma Rose, but don't be stubborn. Stay with us here in the castle, my wedding is coming up and I really want you and Sophia with me." Rose thought about Selene's words and finally, she agreed to stay on the condition that her grandson could visit them whenever he wanted, Lyall and Selene agreed.
Everything calmed down, January passed quickly, February in the blink of an eye and March arrived bringing with it the colorful and joyful spring with its blossoming flowers as if nature were renewing itself, the garden of the Lycan castle was even more beautiful and well-kept, but that had a reason in a few days it would host the celebration of the wedding of Selene and Lyall who finally exchanged rings and swore eternal love to each other. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Selene was a nervous wreck with the preparations. She still hadn't decided on the menu for the party, the decorations were all in place, but the main thing, her dress, she still hadn't chosen either:
"Are you kidding me that you still haven't chosen your wedding dress? Girlfriend, 17 days to go." Ava shouts into her cell phone, sitting in the chair in front of her office desk.
"I need help, could you help me choose my dress, my friend? Please!"
"Get Irene to come too, we'll go after your dress and then we'll have a girls' night out."
"And who's going to look after my twins? Lyall is traveling with Ethan to take care of things in a town a little far from Sírion, but since they're allies he's obliged to help."
"Ask Mrs. Rose to stay with them, what do you think? it's been a while since we've done anything together, you've been a full-time mother lately. You should have some fun too."
"It's easy to say, but I'm not just being a full-time mom, I'm studying, I want to take the entrance exam for nursing so I can use my gift to help people."
"I'm so proud of you, my friend. I'll meet you at the mall at 5 pm, but tell Mrs. Rose to take care of Uriah and Wahid because today we're not leaving John's bar until he kicks us out." Ava says excitedly
Selene invites Irene to buy her dress and then to the girls' night, and the housekeeper accepts immediately. However, the one who hears all the talk and feels left out is Leila:
"Selene, you didn't even think to invite me? I thought we were friends."
"We are, the point is that Ava will be there too and I thought it would be uncomfortable for both of you after everything."
"Selene, neither Ava nor I can hate each other forever because of Ethan, it's high time we placed things right between us and I think this would be the perfect opportunity." Leila gives convincing arguments.
"If you say so"
The day passes quickly, Selene and Leila leave their children in the care of Rose, Sophia and Pavlos, who don't quite agree, but have no choice. The three of them arrive at the mall and meet Ava who, as soon as she sees Lèila, frowns and looks at Selene:
"Why did you bring Leila?"
"She asked me to come, she said it was time for you two to talk and settle down." Selene shrugs her shoulders
Ava approaches the woman she was competing with for Ethan's love until recently, "I'm glad you've made that decision, let's talk." The two walk away, looking for a place to sit while Selene and Irene begin their search for the perfect dress.
Leila and Ava sit down facing each other and the athletic woman with the shaved bob on the right begins to speak:
"I don't think there's anything wrong with us holding grudges against each other because of Ethan, he's an incredible man, but he's a bit immature when it comes to love. And that's something we've both suffered."
"True! But you also took advantage of his immaturity and you know it. In my heart, I've forgiven him and you, and from now on I'll forget how manipulative and meticulous you were, since you're here in front of me trying to sort things out. I hope you've learned your lesson, I always thought you were a strong and independent woman, I never imagined that you would submit to this kind of situation because of him. Love can be our undoing, can't it? Find your way Leila and be happy "
"I wish you all the best too, Ava. I know we'll never be friends, but I appreciate this conversation." Leila smiles and Ava smiles back
"Now let's go and find Selene, I think she's probably already found the store I indicated," Ava says nonchalantly, getting up and heading in the direction of the store.
"Wait! Did you recommend a wedding dress store?"
"Come on, I've also dreamed of getting married one day. There's more to the world than just Ethan"
"That's right, there's also Dr. Song." Leila teases
"Stop talking nonsense. Look, that's the store. Let's go in!"
Inside the store, the girl comes to see them and Ava says she's looking for a woman of medium height, with reddish hair and..."
"The future queen is in box 2, you can go there." The girl pointed in the direction with a smile on her face.
"Selene, are you there?"
"Yes! You can open the curtain."
When Ava opens the red velvet curtain, she can't hide her expression of admiration:
"Wow friend, you look beautiful!"
Meanwhile, in the castle, Rose was finishing putting Uriah and Wahid in the playpen when her cell phone rang:
"Hi darling, how are you?"
"All right Grandma, how are you in the castle? How's Sophia?"
"We miss her, but she's fine. It's a rush at the castle as Selene and Lyall's wedding is just around the corner." Rose gives some details
"When is the wedding?"
"The 19th, at 4 pm, in the fairy garden. Haven't you received an invitation?"
"I won't need an invitation, I'll be the surprise guest at the party."
"What do you mean, Jamal? You're scaring me."
"The time has come for me to reveal the whole truth and demand what's really mine."
"Jamal, don't do anything stupid. Listen to me, please."
"Don't worry, Grandma, I'll just take what's mine, I told you. See you at the party." Jamal hangs up his cell phone, leaving Rose completely worried, "I wonder what Jamal's going to do?" Rose whispers
"Whatever it is, it won't be good."
