The execution

EILEEN'S POV.

It was delightful news, and it made me feel all the more better. Instead of dying a random death caused by a fire, I preferred the pack to remember her, as a silver wolf capable of bringing harm to everyone.

She had been continuously dragged on school platforms, following the attack of the rogues, and everyone had insinuated the rogues had tried to get revenge on her.

And had done so, by killing, and beating all those innocent people.

It would only make it sound better. They would think she had staged it up, and had agreed to be beaten to a pulp, so she could be free of suspicions.

I didn't need to do any more dirty work. No one trusted silver wolves, and so, they wouldn't trust her in turn.

"Daddy. I think Doctor Finnigan might need some money for a new car. His old car makes a lot of noise. What do you think about that?" I asked my father coyly, and Doctor Finnigan's mouth fell.

"Miss Eileen! You want… you want…"

"Dad! Give him the money." I snapped, turning to my father, who looked displeased. "I will pay any amount to gain enemies for Yrene, and to raise people against her. Give him the money." I continued, and he reluctantly took out the money.

"Thank you so much! Oh, thank you! Thank you!" Doctor Finnigan exclaimed, bowing to us continuously, unable to stop his mouth from running with appreciation.

"So where are the papers? Surely, you document each patient, who comes in, along with their illnesses? There is indeed a record of Yrene surviving the palace burnt with Silver, right?" I asked, and he nodded hastily, before reaching into his bag, taking out a brown envelope, and dropping it in front of me.

I brought out the records, and took a good look at it. There was her name, age, status, and worse, she was pregnant.

Neither her nor the triplets had mentioned anything about it. I couldn't have imagined she was carrying a baby. Well, it didn't matter. She, along with her baby were going to be executed.

"I've seen the money. Thank you so much! Oh, thank you! Thank you…!" Doctor Finnigan continued to thank my father and I, while I got up from the sofa, and placed Yrene's results on a table.

I took a photo of it, and sent it straight to the council. A place, where even the power of the triplets couldn't prevail.

The law was the law.

YRENE'S POV.

My eyes opened slowly and I saw a nurse standing over me, fiddling with the IV from which I received treatment.

"How do you feel?" She asked, immediately she saw my eyes flutter open.

"I feel okay." I replied, slowly. Then I began to recall all that had happened. I had been in my room when my closet had been burning, and the smoke from it had caused me to choke, and lose consciousness.

"Are you sure you feel okay? No hazy feelings, or discomfort anywhere?" She asked again, and I nodded.

"I feel okay."

"Okay, I'll call the doctor, and he'll run some quick tests to see if there's no damage done." She replied, and left the room.

Where were the triplets? Did they know I had passed out, and was taken to the hospital? Did they know I had dialed their number repeatedly?

What about the rogues? Had they been caught?

I looked around for my phone, and recalled it was definitely going to be back at home, since I was the one taken out. Then, I happened to see the clock on the wall.

It was around the time I had passed out. How…?

Had I been asleep for a day? How could that be? Shortly, the doctor came in, and some tests were ran on me.

After the tests, she said I was fine, and left.

I was beginning to wonder if the triplets weren't notified I was awake, yet. I needed to hear about the rogues.

Hopefully, it was going to be good news. Shortly, the door to my ward opened, and men marched in, wearing military uniforms.

I sat up in bed immediately, looking at them warily.

"Yrene Thomas?" One of them called, and held up a document of some sort. "Here is your arrest warrant."

"What? Arrest warrant?" I asked. Why were military men giving me arrest warrants? If at all, I had committed a crime, shouldn't the cops be the ones arresting me?

What did I do? Did they get the right person? Did they think I brought the rogues in?

"You are being arrested for being a silver wolf."

"Silv…" I was saying when two of the men, suddenly dragged me off the bed. "Wait! There must be some mistake! Silver wolf!?" I asked, and just then, a nurse walked in.

"Oh my God! Where are you taking the patient to? She's still recovering!" She shrieked, coming to me, but one of the men warded her off.

"We've waited a day for her to wake. There's no more recovering for her to do."

"Why are you taking her? I need to…" she was saying when another shoved the document into her face, while I was dragged away.

"Please, wait! Call the triplets! I can't be a silver wolf. Surely, silver wasn't burnt in the palace? Help!" I screamed, unable to comprehend what was going on.

I had suddenly been labeled a silver wolf? How? Why? When?

The men didn't stop dragging me until they were out of the hospital, and in front of their vehicle.

"Wait! Please wait. There's a misunderstanding somewhere! You have to under…" I was saying, but was pushed roughly into the car.

My hands were cuffed, and the rest of the men got into the vehicle before zooming off.

What in the world was happening?

Were they really carting me away? Just like that? Without informing the triplets?

I had heard of silver wolves being apprehended, and they always faced one thing.

Execution.
