YRENE'S POV.
"So, you want to tell me you will pick this, over Eileen?" He asked, looking at me like I was something he could trample on.
"Yes, we will pick Yrene." Ethan replied firmly, and the Alpha put a hand on his neck, and groaned.
"You've got to be kidding me. You will regret this."
"I don't think we would, father." Kaden replied.
"Eileen will be so sad. She's dreamed of this her whole life. All she's ever cared for, is to get married to you guys, and you want to ruin her happiness?" He asked, looking from one to another.
"Since when did Eileen's happiness matter instead of ours?" Kaden asked, and the Alpha let out a grunt of dissatisfaction.
"Is this what you really want? Mating with her?" He asked, throwing a glance in my direction, and they all nodded without hesitation. "So you weren't going crazy looking for her, for no reason." He muttered, and sighed, looking like he was fighting within himself, to agree with what they wanted. "Fine." He replied, and Reece immediately flew from his seat, leaving me shocked.
He went around the table, and hugged his father, falling into his lap.
"This is honestly the best thing you've ever said!" He yelled, and his father tried to push Reece off himself, but Reece was adamant.
"That was the same thing you said when I got you all a house, and when I got you a personal car." The Alpha grunted, and Reece laughed.
"Those were the best things you could say at that moment, but this one surpasses them all. You're fond of saying the best things ever." Reece added, and the Alpha smiled, feeling satisfied with himself.
"We're taking you out today. Everything's on us." Kaden said, as Reece got up from his father's lap.
"I wonder who gives you the money you spend. I guess you'll be taking me out with my money." He remarked, and they laughed.
"Once you give it to us, it's no longer yours." Ethan replied, and Kaden clapped him on the back in approval.
"He's very right!" Reece remarked, pointing at Ethan.
"I guess you know how to handle them. They're quite a handful." Their father said to me, and my smile grew wider.
"Yes, I know that." I replied, and he managed to give me a tiny smile.
"So, I'll take care of Eileen's parents. You can go home." He declared, getting up from his seat, and the boys looked at me with bright smiles on their faces.
Things were getting better. I only hoped nothing worse happened later on because I wasn't used to everything in my life going smoothly.
I was going to mate with the triplets. The triplets! The triplets everyone wished for themselves, I was taking them all, without leaving any one of them out for anyone.
We left the pack house, and began to talk of how drastically our lives would change. Honestly, I couldn't wait for it.
We got home, and Eileen came running down the stairs in a white night gown.
"Where were you all!? You had me so worried! You weren't taking my calls, and you didn't even tell me anything about where you were going. You can't just act this way to the lady you're mating. Things are not done that way…" She was saying heatedly…
"Actually, about that…" Reece began, but she raised her index finger harshly.
"Don't interrupt me, Reece!" She shot, hotly.
"Alright. You can just get the heartbreak later." He muttered, dipping his hands into his pockets.
"And you, Yrene. That was so mannerless of you. It was weak, and uncultured! How could you have the audacity to run from your employees, uh? What about the contract, idiot…?"
"Eileen!" Ethan suddenly called, shocking even me.
"What? The person you all were so crazy to find, looks like she's been living in luxury. She doesn't look sick, or like she's been starving. I bet she even stole the clothes she's wearing, right now. Don't you guys have eyes? She's wearing limited edition clothes! Before the police comes, and starts asking useless questions, you had better make her turn herself in, before she makes it hard for all of us…"
"Eileen!" Kaden shouted, breathing hard. He had been holding his frustration ever since Eileen began to ramble on, and on. "We're mating with Yrene."
~
EILEEN'S POV.
It felt like the world had stopped at that moment. What were they saying? Mate with Yrene? That bumbling fat boul? Did they have any idea, as to what they were saying?
I didn't think so.
"What do you mean?"
"You just kept on rambling, and rambling like an idiot. Pay a listening ear for once, will you?" Reece asked, walking to the dining table, and picking up an apple.
"Which one of you is mating with her?" I asked, looking from one to the other, in shock. "Who wants out of our mating ceremony?" I questioned, walking down the stairs, slowly.
"All of us." Ethan replied, staring at me like he felt sorry for me. Why would he stare at me that way?
"What? All of you… what? So, who's mating with me?" I asked, and Reece smiled.
"We're better off as friends, Eileen." He answered, biting into his apple.
"No, I don't understand." I mumbled, as I walked past them to the door in my nightwear.
I raced out of the house, and into my car.
"No, I don't understand." I repeated to myself, beginning to drive. The large gates swung open, and I drove through them hastily.
They couldn't just decide to pick that idiot over me! They only needed to wait. When I reported it to my father, their father would snap them back to their senses.
However, when I got home, he was with the triplets' father in the living room.
"Oh, Eileen, you're home." He said, with a terrible sigh.
"What happened?" I asked cautiously, walking towards them slowly, as I looked from the triplets' father to mine.
"You must have heard the news, for you to leave the house in your nighties." He replied, looking at me the same way Ethan had looked at me.
Like he pitied me.
"I asked what happened, daddy."
"The triplets are calling off the ceremony. They… they want someone else…" he replied, and for the first time…
For the very first time in years, my heart broke.
