Chapter One Hundred And Six

Chapter One Hundred And Six
Keira's Pov

Flowers rained down on me, and screams and whoops emanated from the audience as I held blood red roses in my hands against the backdrop of my white wedding dress.

Armless, showcasing my beautiful shoulders and slender arms.

The dress was quite fitted at the waist where it flared out into beautiful pleats flecked with shining stones.

Nikkie had spent quite a fortune on the dress. I can remember him ditching the idea of a brand new car he so much wanted just so he would make me pleased.

Finally, it was my D-Day. Perhaps the day every woman grew up dreaming of. A day that ought to roll by perfectly without any hitches.

The last few months had easily been the worst months of my life, but now, walking in the aisle, with Emily behind me as my best lady, my father's arm linked in mine, I felt like the happiest person in the universe.

Finally, I was given to Nikkie and he took my hand in his. There was a shattering applause as he did so, and he opened my veil, his lips broadening into a smile as he saw my face.

“Sorry? Who's the angel descending right in front of me?” He teased, making me turn red, as he trailed a finger down the side of my face.

I smiled, “All through my life, I was told I'd meet a human on the altar, but here we are, and I'm faced with a fairy.” I returned, playfully.

My words weren't in the least close to a lie. Nikkie indeed looked like a fairy. His handsome mess couldn't be traded for anything.

And all through the wedding, Nikkie and I were exchanging little words with each other, being in a world of our own, enjoying the bliss of being officially wed.

When the whole ceremony ended, we all proceeded to the beach house Nikkie had bought solely for the honeymoon. Damn, it had lots of rooms, and for the first night, we'd agreed to have some kind of after-party.

Nikkie's parents, Emily's parents, and mine, Emily and Kevin, me and Nikkie, and a few high school friends, who came to celebrate with us.

“I'll be down soon.” I called out, when Nikkie was leaving the room, then began to run a bath for myself, humming as I watched myself in the mirror.

Tonight was going to be special. After the party and everything, Nikkie and I would retire to the bedroom and work magic all night. Yes, throughout the night.

I folded my lips blushing as the thought of watching adult movies popped up in my head, and new places to make love to ourselves.

In the garden, in the shower…

I stepped into the bathtub.

We would have it in the car too, in the kitchen, in the elevator, on the beach, damn… everyone would know that a new couple had gotten wed.

I submerged myself in the water, letting the thoughts of the night overwhelm me. I almost couldn't wait.

Then, somehow, I slipped into my head. It happened slowly, but I knew immediately that I was in my mind.

Everywhere was dark, and I was all alone, looking around me.

I remember this place. This was where Luna and I had discussed for the first time. Here in my head. But why was I here again?

A new kind of panic clawed at me, and I shook my head, unwilling to accept what it looked like to me.

“Keira?” I heard. That was Luna's voice. Fear gripped me, but I couldn't open my eyes. This was fast turning into a nightmare.

Hey! I wasn't going back, was I? Not today! Aah! Not on this night! This would be crazy.

“Luna?” I called, my voice trembling, “What is going on right now? Am I dreaming?”

“Dreaming? Well, I'm certainly not dreaming. Wait,” She chuckled. “Don't tell me you're in water, right now.” She let out softly, and I swallowed.

I was in the water. Damn. I told myself I wouldn't go near water again, but I'd doomed myself and just had to crave soaking in a tub!

“Are you also in the water?” I asked cautiously.

“Wow. I think our connection will be a lasting one. Once connected, forever connected. I didn't think we would ever be connected again.” She replied softly, and from her voice, I could tell she was really fascinated.

“So we're not slipping back into different worlds?”

“Heck, no! We solved the problem. It's never occurred again, but I just think there will always be an open pathway for communication between us in our heads.”

I breathed out in relief, “I thought something strange was happening again. Though it's actually nice to talk to you again. I'm curious as to how things are going over there. What happened to Valerie and Damien?”

She gave a wicked laugh, “In dark dungeons, never to see the light of day. They will rot there. They didn't even feel remorseful, but rather tried to justify themselves. Silly little goats!”

“Serves them right. They did a whole lot to me. I'm happy they ended that way. It was coming to them all along,” I breathed out. Somehow, hearing Luna's voice in the dark was comforting.

“And what about you? I'm guessing Nikkie and Emily don't remember a thing, right?” She asked.

“They both think it's a dream, but…” I chuckled, “I lied to them that it was a movie we all watched when they were drunk.”

Luna laughed out loud, “Zane, Ryder and Caleb think we share the same dream because we're mates. Crazy, isn't it? By the way, we're having a baby.” Thanks to Nikkie, I was able to be selfless, and I wanted to enjoy motherhood too. For a human to grow in me is a blessing to me and my mates.

“What!? They must be so happy!” I squealed, and I could just feel her blushing. The heavens knew how desperate men were for babies. They were even going to use concubines for their cause.

“They are all over the place, preparing stuff for babies who we aren't even sure if it's a boy or a girl. We agreed on getting unisex stuff.”

“I envy you.” I smiled. Perhaps, very soon, I'd also be getting my own little bundle of joy growing within me. A perfect masterpiece that would bear me and Nikkie everywhere on their bodies.

“Ah, did Nikkie keep his promise, and propose to you?”

“Sure as hell he did.” I blushed furiously, “We got married today.”

“Whatttt?” She screeched, “Finally! I'm so happy for you, Keira.”

“It was a dream come true for me, honestly. I'm happy for you too, Luna. And somehow, after the whole thing, it doesn't feel so bad after all. But hey, you took my first time,” I said.

“Oh my God. Heavens, I'm sorry. I was aware you were a virgin, but your feelings were too strong and intense. You feel things way more than I do. It was my first time feeling such, so I was kinda overwhelmed.”

“Yeah, it just sucks that I actually wanted Nikkie to be my first.”

“Keira, what do you take me for? Of course, the only man in your heart was Nikkie. I couldn't control the affection your heart wielded for him. Yes, Nikkie was the one who took your first time. It's amazing though the way you love him. It almost made me wonder if I was loving my Alphas right.”

I blushed, “So it was Nikkie.” I smiled again, “Thanks, Luna. I think we both learned a lot of things, and I think we can meet frequently to check up on each other. It would be fun.”

“Same here. By the way, Maini says Hello, dumb head.” She said, and I burst into laughter.

“She does have a weird way of showing affection, doesn't she?”

“Exactly!” Luna squealed.

Luna and I found ourselves talking, completely lost in the fascination of crossing the world in our heads, and then when we finally bade each other goodbye, I stepped out of the tub, and proceeded to wear clothes to meet the rest.

They were all outside facing the beach as waves crashed back and forth. The moon shone brightly on the water and I felt a sense of peace.

Mom and dad were conversing with Nikkie's parents, laughing and toasting. Our invited friends were also playing a game in a circle, Emily and Kevin were off to the side, talking in low tones, while Nikkie sat, waiting for me, facing the water.

I sat next to him, and slipped my hand into his.

“What are you thinking of?” I asked, surveying his handsome features on his well crafted face.

“You, and how much I'll love you till the end of time.”

His blue eyes locked onto mine.

Those eyes that I'd always found myself getting lost in.

I snuggled against him, my head on his chest.

Yes, everything was in place. This was the exact way I wanted it all.

Now, my life was off to a fresh start a new beginning.
