Everyone once again look toward Jonas and Genni, as they had had little or no time to discuss this between themselves they were going to have to have an open discussion with this group of people. Jonas began by stating almost arrogantly that no member of his pack would betray them and become a traitor and even though Phil agreed, Rosemary on the other hand looked a little unsure. Seeing this Genni asked what was worrying her mother-in-law ‘Well, Dear, it just worries me that the weight that has fallen on the pack since you arrived is truly an enormous one. I mean think about it for a second, this pack has gone from being the Grand Alpha’s pack to being the pack of a demigod and that increased responsibility leads to pressure, anxiety and possibly a breakdown if the wolf in question is maybe not as strong as the rest’. Genni looked at her mother-in-law with a questioning look ‘Do you think you know who the Person of interest may be’. ‘Not exactly, No but I think, and this is my opinion only, but I believe that some of the Omega’s may find the new responsibility to much to handle’.
Jonas looked at his mother and was perplexed as to why she had just said this. As the Alpha of the pack Jonas had always included the Omega’s in everything that they did from training to dining together to simply having the monthly runs in the forest. Jonas always always included the Omega’s so that they truly felt part of the pack. Jonas knew that as the Grand Alpha, his pack had to be full of the most highly trained and deadliest warriors. His pack had always been asked to mediate between disputes and threats of serious unrest amongst their kind and having said this Jonas had always prided himself on his ability to provide and assist any Omega who wished to rise within the ranks of the pack. So the thought that one of them could be so disgruntled with their life within the pack, it actually made Jonas feel a little sick to his stomach.
Greg was also looking at Rosemary and said quietly ‘Do you honestly believe that? Do you honestly think that a member of our pack, a member of our family would be capable of betrayal on such a degree’? Rosemary lowered her head and laid both hands on her lap but Genni could see the tension within her mother-in-law as her hands were gripped white together, seeing this Genni addressed her ‘Mom, if you know something, if you’ve seen something or heard something please tell us. As the former Grand luna I am quite sure the pack members remain just as loyal to you as they are to Jonas and myself so I have no doubt that you may be passed certain information, bits of gossip whatever. So I ask again, have you heard something that we should be worried about’. Rosemary looked up at her beloved daughter-in-law, then toward her son and to the others in the room and gave a rather resigned sigh. ‘It has been brought to my attention that a family of Omega’s are planning to leave the pack, I don’t have any more details than that but as it is protocol to alert your Alpha and luna of such a decision it begs the question why they haven’t said anything. The person who told me is not a friend of theirs but rather an acquaintance so she doesn’t know the ins and outs of the decision that was made but as a neighbour they have reached out and asked if a few of the She-wolves would be prepared to pop over to the house and help them pack’. Jonas was looking at his mother now aghast at what she just said ‘You can’t be serious mother’ he said in a brusque tone ‘Why didn’t you inform me of this the moment you heard’ Phil growled at his son and reminded him who he was speaking to. Looking slightly embarrassed with the way he had addressed his mother, Jonas lowered his voice and took a fair bit of attitude out of it ‘Mom, please when did you hear this’? Rosemary once again looked down toward her hands that was sitting in her lap and taking a deep breath, almost as if she were having to answer for her life, Rosemary told a group that she had known of this for almost a week and had said nothing as she was very aware of the stress and anxiety that her son and daughter-in-law are already suffering. You could see Jonas, who is trying very hard to hold on to his temper whilst trying to push Jax back but you could also see his eyes turning black as the wolf tried to take control. Seeing this, Phil let his own wolf forward and growling at his son, basically he told him to back off. Even though Jax was now at the surface the wolf had enough respect for his father to do what he said so pretty quickly Jonas‘s eyes returned to his usual colour. But Jonas was still clearly very upset. Greg took it upon himself to finish the meeting where it was understanding that his Alpha and best friend was about to lose it. So Greg thought it best to remove the people that didn’t need to be there. Ushering out Molly and Peter and of course his beloved Sara , Greg told them all that he would be back with them shortly and giving Sara a swift kiss on her lips he virtually push them out of the apartment door. Phil and Jonas were still locked in an angry glaring contest. Rosemary was standing now to her husbands right and almost pleading with him to drop it. Genni on the other hand believed that her Husband had every right to be pissed at what he just found out. Genni also felt a little betrayed as for the last week maybe more, Rosemary had been acting Gamma and had been privy to some very delicate conversations, not once did she mention to Genni that there may be a problem or unrest with a few of the Omega’s. Genni could feel an uneasiness seep through her, she wanted to know if the Children of Kain had any more spies among them. Had Zachary taken advantage of anymore of the Omega’s. Choosing not to voice this out loud just yet Genni thanked Greg for downsizing the meeting and dismissed him as well, as she could see he clearly wanted to get back to his pregnant mate. Smiling gently at him she linked to say “please take care of her” to which he replied ‘Always, Your Grace’.
With only Phil Rosemary Jonas and herself left in the apartment Jeanie hoped that Jonas would be able to control Jack’s enough that they may have an intelligent conversation. Genie didn’t mean to insult Jack’s all the way he was she loved him with every breath and bone of her body but she also had to recognise that Jax had little to no patience was quick to react most often held back from hitting someone or lashing out. Please, can we all sit back Down Jeannie asked quietly doing so the four people sat opposite each other Jonas sat next to Jeannie whilst Phil sat next to Rosemary. You were the grand Luna of this Pac man please try to help me understand your decision to not tell Jenean or myself that this was happening. You could see that Jonas was trying very hard to be patient and understanding Phil on the other hand was losing his patience with his son and what he considered an extremely condescending attitude towards his mother. We shan’t say it again and although your mother did not tell me either I respect her desire to keep the information to herself. As you know your mother is extremely proud and more than capable of carrying a situation like this. Jonas letters head fall into his hands and run his fingers through his hair so that it stuck up in every angle I just need to know that this is the only thing that you know. Mam just need to know that there aren’t any more surprises because I’m telling you now I will not tolerate pertinent information not been passed over man oh no man you are a member of my pack and I expect a certain level of respect. Phil stood up again and glaring at his son told him fiercely your mother and I are leaving now I will not tolerate you speaking to her like this. Your mother ran this pack has the GrandLuna for more than 15 years and I demand a certain level of respect toward her.' Lookingg at his mate now he said roughly 'let’s go' and rising to meet her mate and taking the hand he had reached out for her the two of them left the apartment, now only Genni and Jonas remained.
