What Genni did, was walk toward Jonas with a somber expression on her face until she stood directly in front of him. Bowing her head first in acknowledgment of respect shown from her father and Martha then turning her head back to Jonas and looking deep into his eyes. Once again Jonas could see Sapphire shining through one and Genni shining through the other. In a husky voice that must be the combined voices of both magnificent creatures and gave Jonas shivers up his back and a painful erection instantly, Genni reached up and pulling his face toward her she said ‘you should listen to your elder Mr Quint especially as that Elder is My father’ then she brought their lips together in a kiss that was earth shattering. Jonas was so happy he picked her off her feet and started to spin her around without letting go of her lips. Daniel stood with his arm around Martha and was beaming with pride while Martha clapped her hands lightly at the show of emotion and affection. When they broke apart, only because both had run out of that gas you need to breathe, Jonas rested his forehead on Genni’s, both of them gulping in air but both smiling like loons. Martha dragged Daniel out of the kitchen, under complete duress, all the while moaning that her wanted to hug his daughter. Chuckling at her father Genni shouted ‘I’ll come and find you later Dad’ and she turned her attention back to the man she loved.
Still standing in the kitchen they looked at each other, just looked then surprising Genni and making her start Jonas dropped to his knees and looked up at her hope shining in his face. For the first time Genni saw tears gather in his eyes and her heart melted at the sight. Dropping to her knees as well she was pulled into a fierce hug ‘I’m so sorry, I so sorry’ Jonas kept whispering into her hair. Genni pulled him even closer and buried her face in her neck right where her Mate Mark was. ‘No, no, please don’t say sorry, you have done nothing wrong. I should have turned round as we left and spoken to you about what happened, instead I ….’. ‘Instead you couldn’t turn around because your Mate was deliberately walking behind you without giving you an explanation’ Jonas said furious with himself. Seeing her frowning slightly at him Jonas said ‘I’ll explain. When you displayed a little bit of your power in the hospital room I was in complete and utter awe of you. The power that radiated off you in that moment was so immense it nearly had me kneeling in front of you. You took control not because you were trying to go against me but because it was necessary to control and not kill Silas. I understood straight away, I just never imagined you doing it as easily as you did. There was no stress or tension about you, if anything with the slight silvery white glow that comes off your skin when you do use your powers makes you look ethereal. Your so dam beautiful. But if I’m honest, when I came here to speak with your father, what shocked me and left me in a state of euphoria was when you referred to me as your husband. I know as wolves we. Usually used the term Mate or Fated Mate but being called your Husband. It’s just a level of Intimacy we never shared before”. Still wrapped around each other Genni was crying now, her tears were happy ones, Jonas still wanted her and when she said this out loud Jonas pulled back from her then to stare at her incredulously. ‘You thought I wouldn’t want you because of what happened with Silas’? Nodding shyly and not looking at Jonas for fear of him seeing the vulnerability in her eyes she felt him gentle grab her chin and moved her face so they were once again looking at each other. ‘Never and I mean NEVER think I don’t want you. I thank the goddess as many times as I can throughout the day for gifting me you as my Mate’. Smiling properly now Genni said through a lot of happy tears ‘how about as your Wife’?
Hugging her again Jonas smiled into her hair as he gently kissed her ‘yes, Wife. Sounds good to me’ and then they were kissing again. While all this was going on Martha kept peeking to see if they had left ‘what do I do if they stay there for a while? How will I cook the dinner for the pack? Move around them? she turned to Daniel questioningly and Daniel burst out laughing. ‘Goddess’ he thought ‘I love this women’.
Dinner did get made as Jonas insisted that Genni rest for a while before it. As he had joined her “resting” they were both a little late for dinner and a few of the higher placed warriors who were in the dinner hall at the same time wore grins on their faces when looking at their Alpha and looks of reverence on their faces when looking at their beautiful Luna. As always Jonas, Genni, Greg, Molly and now Sara(as she was Greg’s mate) sat at the top table. They always attended the first sitting of dinner as that gave them the rest of the night to them selves. Jonas had never noticed before but everyone that sat in the dinner hall with them seemed to be waiting before they ate. This was strange for two reasons, the first being that nobody could refrain from eating Martha’s food. She was an amazing chef. Jonas made a mental note to send her a gift. The second reason was as werewolves they all had furious appetites and when they were in the dinner hall it was grab food sit down eat as fast as you can in the hope that there will be seconds and sometime even thirds. But this time Jonas noticed that the Wolves, She-Wolves and even some of the Cubs that would come to the dining hall for food just sat by the tables waited patiently for Genni to enter the room and make your way to the top table. When she got to her seat she would nod to everyone in the hall which was her polite way of acknowledging them but his pack had taken it one step further and he couldn’t be more proud of them for doing it. When Genni nodded at the pack and sat down a plate of food was placed in front of her by one of the omega’s, she picked up her fork and placed a small amount of food in her mouth, it was at that point that everyone in the food hall would eat, completely out of reverence for the lunar.
In the past Jonas would mind link to Greg to find out where he was but nowadays he just asked Genni as she had the ability to know where every member of her pack is. Didn’t matter if the wolf was on pack lands or not. ‘Wife’? He said with a grin on his face ‘would you now where my Beta is’? Grinning back at him, loving the sound of wife falling from his lips, ‘why yes, Husband. I do’! Chuckling out loud he pulled Genni to him and gave her a long lingering kiss that finished when the wave of whistles, human howling and applause hit them. Mock growling at his pack had everyone laughing, even him. Genni’s eyes where shining with mirth. ‘She looks so happy’ he thought to himself then ‘I’m so happy. I never thought I could be this happy’ looking out over the hundred or so that sat with them in the dining hall he could see Mates chatting and laughing he could see a few of their cubs playing with each other on the floor near their parents. Everyone in the room looked happy, Jonas sat back in his chair and let out a small sigh of contentment. Realising he had not finished the conversation with Genni he got her attention again and asked ‘so, where is he’? Genni was looking at a cub in a pram, the little boy was putting up quite the little fight not to sleep and you could see both parents were happy but extremely tired. Getting up for her chair she turned her head toward Jonas and simply said ‘he’s with Sara!’. Rolling his eyes at what that meant he debated calling him or not, they were new Fated Mates after all. Deciding to give them a bit longer in each other’s company Jonas left his eyes wonder trying to find where Genni had gone. He found her pretty quickly after all a women like her stands out from the crowd with her silver hair and her smile beauty.
