NEXT’ genni spoke up as Jonas tried to say something but stopped when she gave him a glare ‘ next I would like to apologise for the misunderstanding that has occurred. You see, Hilda is working for me and when she went silent in reporting back to me, we sent My Alpha’s Beta and My Gamma to fid her and bring her safely home. What we didn’t know was that you had looked after her for a few days before she vanished and indeed found her. Unfortunately when you went to try and hunt down the creatures who had tortured her our pack members found her in the cave. You can imagine what was thought and so, following our orders’ genni gestured to Jonas ‘they brought her home. That was when you found them and started to hunt them. Hilda has explained everything to me, although I have never heard of a Mage and a wolf being Mates I cannot ignore the present situation’ genni finished and looking at Alpha Silas, waited for a response. ‘Grand Luna’ Silas began swallowing hard ‘I only know that Hilda is my fated mate. And now I have. Found her I do not intend letting her go. I don’t know whats going on here or why My Mate is working for you but I need to know she is safe’. Genni could see the genuine concern in his eyes, he honestly loved her. Nodding at the Alpha Genni sat forward and reached across to hold his hands. Seeing this Jace let out a growl, before Jonas could respond Alpha Silas hit his brother across the back of his head. ‘Leave it’ he said to his brother and you could feel he had used his Alpha Aura. It didn’t effect anyone else in the office but it did the trick on Jace who was now looking down sullenly. ‘Please Alpha Silas, hold my hands’ genni offered her hands again and this time Silas reached out and took hold of them. ‘I’m going to show you that Hilda, Your Mate is safe and well, ok’? Clearly confused, Silas nodded his agreement. ‘Close your eyes for me, please’ Genni. Added when she saw suspicion in his eyes. Shifting uncomfortably Silas did as he was bid. Genni closed her eyes as well and focused on the hospital and the bed that held his sleeping Mate. Genni could see that Dr Julia was sitting by Hilda’s bed and was holding her hand softly, Genni then opened the link to Silas who gasped out loud at the imagines being projected into his mind. ‘Hilda, My Hildi’. Genni let go of his hands and sat back and felt Jonas’s strong arm lay across her shoulder. Grinning inwardly to herself she heard Sapphire say “why don’t he just pee on us and be done with it!. Chuckling quietly to herself Genni waited for Silas to adjust to what he had just seen. Jace was looking at him now and was asking in a low tone what he had seen. ‘How did you do that? I am grateful to see My Mate being well cared for but how did you put that in my mind? What are you?’ Genni looked at Jonas and linked to him ‘it’s your call, little wolf’. ‘Alpha Silas, did Hilda tell you anything about why she was so far south and why she was going to the far side of your pack’? Silas looked at Jace for a second and Genni could see the brothers had linked themselves. ‘I can assure you that this is no trick to harm you in any way. Nor it is an attempt to infiltrate your pack’ Jace was the one looking shocked now. And saying angrily to Genni ‘How do you now what was just said between my Alpha and Myself’? Genni let out a. Great sigh, she suddenly looked exhausted but determined to carry on with this meeting. Taking a deep breath Genni explained who she was see explained who her mother is and what she can do and why she was created in the first place and by who. Even though Jonas, Wyatt and Lucas had heard this story it still made them look at Genni with awe. Jonas could only imagine what was going through the other wolves minds. ‘I understand all your telling Grand Luna and we accept what your saying but it is just so hard to understand. And while I have the floor as it were, can I please apologise on behalf of my brother, it was he who fatally wounded your She-Wolf’.
Smiling sadly at what had so nearly happened Genni explained that Sara was alive and well and in the safe arms of her mate. Jace spoke up again at that and stated ‘that’s impossible, I bit her in a place where she would have bled out within minutes’ finishing his little statement with a snarl. Genni was getting rather fed up with this insolent young man. ‘Jace Jones, you will not address the people in this room, the people of my pack or me with that tone in your voice again. Do I make myself clear’? Nodding and once again lowering his head Jace apologised to Genni. When she was sure she wouldn’t be interrupted again she continued ‘Alpha Silas after hearing at what is to come do you think you could unite with other wolf packs in the hope of defeating the threat against us all? Please don’t answer now, I will take you to see Hilda now. Spend some time with her and let me know what you want to do in the morning. After you have seen Hilda you will want to rest, I have had two rooms made up for you on the ground floor. Also, my husband and I would like you to attend dinner with us both this evening’? Silas agreed to dinner informing them that due to his behaviour today Jace would not be joining them. Clearly there was a raging argument being silently fought through their mind link. ‘Gentleman, please understand that I can choose to link with your minds at anytime, day or night’ standing up suddenly and catching them all off guard for a second Genni announced that she was heading to the hospital and gesturing for Silas to follow her, Genni left the room.
Heading to the hospital with them all was ridiculous so Genni ordered Wyatt to “show” Jace the room he would be staying in. As they left Jonas turned to look at Lucas and linked with him to tell him to watch Silas like a hawk. Nodding once to signal he understood his alpha, Jonas then said to Genni out loud ‘would it be ok if I remained in my office, My Love, I have a lot of work to catch up on’? Genni looked a little surprised at this pronouncement and tilted her cheek up to him when he came forward to give her a kiss ‘see you soon ,My Love’ and he walked back in his office. Almost immediately after this happened Jonas linked with Genni to explain his actions ‘I honestly think that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done’ he stated plainly ‘I hope you appreciate the effort I just made for you’ he growled softly. Smiling to herself Genni replied ‘of course I do, I know how hard it must have been to walk away from us but I do appreciate it. Very much. Showing Silas that you trust my judgement and are willing for me to be by Myself with him showed him that you are not unreadable, which I hope will help us in the future’ shutting down the link as they were approaching the hospital Genni could see Silas starting to get excited as he kept smelling the air, the closer they got to Hilda the more tense with frustration he got. Finally Lucas held open the door to the hospital and without waiting for them Silas ran past and burst through the doors, genni could hear a triumphant growl escape the wolf as he saw his Mate. Walking in behind him at a leisurely pace Genni could hear Hilda shout out his name and was suddenly silent. Genni grinned at Lucas when they both walked in the room to see Hilda and Silas wrapped around each other like vines
