Chapter 15

Catherine's POV

I woke up very early in the morning to prepare for my first day at the office as I wasn't able to sleep well because of excitement.

I was so excited as I wore one of the clothes that Alpha Ransfort had bought for me with light makeup as I left for the dining area to have my breakfast before leaving for work.

"Good morning, your Highness." I greeted Alpha Ransfort as he was already eating.

He fixed his gaze on me without responding to my greetings as my heart skipped a beat with different thoughts runs through my head.

"Did I have something on my face? Is something wrong with my dress or is my makeup that bad?" I asked myself, looking at my body to see if there were any mistakes.

"Your Highness, did I look that mad?" I asked, nervously.

" No... Not at all. You look stunning in this outfit." he complimented and I blushed.

"Come...come and have your breakfast."

He stood up to pull out a chair for me to sit while the maids served me my food.

I ate silently as I observed Alpha Ransfort continuously glancing at me.

Alpha Ransfort informed me to follow him outside after we had finished eating our meal.

We got outside and he asked me to close my eyes while he whistled after which I I heard the sound of a car.

" You can now open your eyes and see your surprise gift," he commanded.

I squeezed my eyes open but I couldn't see anything as the only thing I saw in front of me was a white Rolls—Royce phantom.

" Where is the surprise gift, your Highness?"

" Here it is," he revealed with a smile as he raised a car key for me to see.

I couldn't believe what I just heard, " Your Highness, did you say this is my car? Or are my ears deceiving me?" I asked in astonishment.

" No, your ears are not deceiving you, this is your car. Did you like it?"

" Like is an understatement, I love it!" I exclaimed excitedly.

I was so overwhelmed that I didn't even know when I hugged him as I repeatedly said, " Thank you so much! Thank you so much!"

One of the guards coughed, making me realize what I was doing as I swiftly withdrew from his embrace, feeling embarrassed.

" Umm.... I am sorry, Your Highness. I didn't mean to hug you. I was just so excited."

"I understand, there is no problem. This is the car key," he said as he placed the key in my hand.

I lowered my gaze and told him that I didn't know how to drive.

"That's not a problem. James here will be your driver for now," he said as he motioned to one of the guards as he stepped forward and bowed his head to greet us.

" From now on, you are going to be driving her anywhere she wants," he instructed James.

" Alright, your Highness. Please give me the car key." James requested for the car key.

I stepped into my new car while Alpha Ransfort used his limousine as we headed to the office.

We stepped into the office building and went straight to the private elevator as most of the staff greeted us. The elevator took us to the tenth floor as Alpha Ransfort informed me that my office and his office were the only office there.

We stepped out of the elevator and paced toward a huge door of an office and Alpha Ransfort swung it open.

"Welcome to the manager's office." Alpha Ransfort announced as we stepped in, leaving me stunned at the extravagant design of the office.

"Is this my office?!." I asked as tears welled up in my eyes.

"You don't like it? You know, I can ask them to change everything if you don't like them." Alpha Ransfort asked, curiously as she gazed at my teary eye.

"I.. I... Loved it. I was just overwhelmed by everything. Thank you so much, your Highness."

"You are welcome, my dear. If you need anything at all, don't hesitate to ask me and your secretary will put you in something," he informed me and left for his office.

I sat on the soft chair and giggled as I checked out the laptop on the table. My thoughts suddenly went to my mother as I felt a pang in my chest.

"Mother, I have become the successful woman you've ever wanted me to be. I wish you were here?" I whispered silently as tears ran down my cheeks.

Alpha Ransfort POV.

I explained my plans to Lina and with so much persuasion, she had finally agreed to it. I told her to apologize to Catherine so that she would be able to get her trust.

I must try all I could do just to gain her trust.

" I don't like Catherine to always stay at home without doing anything as I felt it was boring to her." I voice out to Lina who sneaks into my room at night.

"Emm.. Why don't you give her a job in one of your companies and with that, you can get close to her and make her fall in with you." Lina, suggest.

It was a nice idea so I decided to make her the manager of my company.

I bought her clothes as I already knew she was the same size as Lina and also a car even when Lina objected to it.

I informed my secretary to arrange and design the manager's office with extensive things just to attract her.

I was eating in the dining room when I heard footsteps from the stairs. I navigated my eyes to see who it was as I said.. Catherine descended the stairs, wearing a pretty blue dress that showed her curves, Her hair was neatly styled, falling in soft waves around her shoulders. She looked lovely with just a bit of makeup, like a touch of blush and light pink lipstick. making her look elegant and stylish. I never knew that she was this beautiful.

"Do I look that bad?" she asked, jolting me out of my thoughts. How can she even think that she looks bad with this beauty?

I presented the car to her with a driver as I planned with Lina before I took her to the office.

The satisfaction I saw on her face was so overwhelming.

" Plan A is achieved," I said in my head with a smile as I pictured my next plan.
