Chapter 38 SHOPPING FOR VALIDATION
Medea's POV
My nightmares were finally coming into reality, just when I convinced myself that it would never happen here.
I had been my very best for Raphael, it wasn't hard to talk about his previous experience considering his ex-mate was more vanilla than anyone could even dream. Which was why when I worked by magic with my hands and my body he melted into my hands like butter under heat.
Back then we went at it like rabbits.
The servants had to be careful when they walked into any room because we could be inside doing the deed without a care in the world, why should we own the place for everyone inside?
I knew I couldn't understand all that complex boring stuff about his pack management and stuff as Luna but what did all of that matter? He was there capable and they were also the Elder council members.
I pretended like I was going to be sleeping and when he was gone from the bed I sat up brushing my fingers across my face and breathing in and out until I felt myself coming slightly though not enough.
After this short breathing exercise, I called the one person I always call when things go wrong for me, my number one confidant who I know will always be there to give me the best advice.
I grabbed my phone and after sliding my finger over the screen a couple of times my sister's face was spread across, she was in her bathtub, candles lit, and a glass of wine set out for her enjoyment.
"Helping yourself to wine already?" I asked her, and she raised an eyebrow.
"Don't worry sis I've been good, trust me. This is the first glass touching my lips all week,"
I frowned with justifiable disbelief, a little while ago I found out that my sister had a drinking problem, a problem that our father had too.
She promised it wasn't a big deal but she had a glass of wine here and there and it didn't mean anything, but I told her to cut down on it anyway after seeing what it did to our dad, I couldn't bear to go through that experience again especially with my only family.
Eclipse put the glass of wine away and relaxed deeper into her tub.
"What's the problem, Media, why did you call me?"
Once again I found this.
"Can't I call my sister if there isn't a problem?"
"I know that," she clarified playing with the soapsuds on her body absent mindedly, "just not quite sure if you know it too."
Eclipse could really be so needy sometimes, we went shopping and hung out a bunch but the second I wasn't there to entertain her whim I somehow became the worst system of the year.
"I know that's very well," I said, then let a little bit of my pride go as I continued, "however coincidentally there happens to be a problem..."
"What's happening with your precious alpha this time?" She didn't go out of her way to sound extra sarcastic or anything, there was just this bite to her tone that I didn't like.
I had half the mind not to tell her anything at all but then I remember that she did give the best advice and decided that I should just do so anyways since I had nothing to lose there," I don't know if I'm fulfilling him in bed at the way I should, what do you think I can do to spice things up between us?"
She left her lips peeling into a smile.
"That's the problem you're coming to me with? The tussle of 10 toes? Are you sure there's nothing else you want to talk to me about?"
That question hit me and the only thing that came to my mind was a blank wall, there were a few problems here and there but all of them were minuscule compared to this one.
I shook my head confidently.
"There's nothing else I think that could be so troubling as what I'm going through right now I need him to pay more attention to me, I'm not even bored about being satisfied these days all I care about is that he is taking care of and he doesn't seem to be bothered about what I'm going through,"
Seems like he wasn't the only one, Eclipse was looking more and more bored as the conversation continued, and of course, I got annoyed at that because as my sister she was supposed to be paying more attention to me after all which even be able to live in a comfortable life that she was living right now if it wasn't for me.
I bit my tongue before I could remind her that if it wasn't for my beauty and my sacrifices both of us would still be scrubbing toilets till this day if we were not doing something much worse.
She could show a little more appreciation and try to help me more than she already does yeesh she can be so self-centered at times.
"I think we need to go shopping tomorrow," I said coming up with a suggestion since she was lagging, "I'll get some new makeup something I can put on that looks just naturally enough that he won't notice one bit,"
Her eyes lit up with shameless excitement when I mentioned shopping. She looked like she was ready to doze off when I was talking about my problems and all of a sudden now that they're shopping involves her sitting up in her tub and actually listening.
"I'll be free tomorrow in the afternoon by two let's go shopping then,"
I tilted my head, "What if I'm busy then?"
She laughed as I had just told a joke.
"Sure, but I have a feeling you'll be free,"
She ended the video call and I had half the mind to just throw the phone across the room when suddenly the maid walked in with a grim expression and said that Raphael wanted to see me.
