CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

Terri's POV

Work? So soon? How did you get a work you're doing? Who employed you and which kind of work? I asked her because I know that she just arrived at the mansion and I don't think there's any job vacancy at the mansion that she can do.

"You don't know I have a job now? Are you for real? She asked looking surprised

How would I know that you got a job? Besides you didn't tell me and I'm also hearing it from you now, I told her

She sat down on my bed and said "Well, Her Royal Highness Queen Anna offer me a job, so if you see her you should greet her for her kindness" She said mimicking

What do you mean by the Queen offers you a job and I don't know about it because the Queen also didn't tell me and I can see that you look unsatisfied, don't you love the job. I asked her

"why don't you ask about the job, like what kind of job it is before you said that" she said feeling annoying

Okay, I'm sorry for not asking about the type of job, so tell me what kind of job it is? I asked

"I was offered to work In the mansion, the Queen residence to be precise, as a Maid I hope you understand me"She said

A Maid? How come you're working as a maid in this mansion and you're just informing me now, Huh!. I said annoying

"It's not my fault for not informing you, I think that you would have known about it before because since the day I arrived at the mansion the head of maids have told me about it and if it's not that the Queen told her to do so she won't do that, that's why I thought that you would have known since it has been planned before I arrived at the mansion"She said

I don't know about it, you know that if I know I would have included it in the letter that I sent to you, you should trust me on that, I told her

"it's just that I'm very pained because how can a whole me be working as a maid? How can she offered me that kind of job,? when there is other meaningful job that she can offer me, She's a Queen for crying out loud" she said

"I'm so sorry about that, and I promise you that I will do something about it but you know she's a Queen, she might have some reasons why she offered you that kind of work… just my opinion though" I said to her because I don't want her to know that she offered me a job at empire company

"Hmm,I doubt it because I know that she did it intentionally but whatever her reasons for offering me to work as a maid are, I pray that they're of good things because if it's a bad one, it's won't be nice" She said sarcastically

"Lest I forget, what are you doing in the mansion since you have been here because I know that you are here before me and I'm so sure that you would have been working somewhere already or maybe she has offered you a job as you know that even me who just resumed yesterday I'm already working.

Wait, let me guess you are working as a guards now right?" she said laughing

GUARDS!! How could you ever think of that? That's ridiculous, this is not funny.I said to her

"I'm sorry for saying that, but you know that I just guess it, did I guess right? Don't tell me you are working as a guard? She said

Stop saying that now, I'm not working as a guard besides I have not start working because she has not offer me any job But I know that she will do it soon. I told her

Really? That's crazy but it's alright, I just hope she do that quickly and she should offer you a good job so that you will not just be idle at home and don't forget about what you said about talking to her on my behalf because of that work. She said

"I don't want you to get worked up over this issue, I said I will find something to do about it or don't you trust me again? I asked her

"Alright my love, I have heard everything you said but if she wish not to do anything about it, don't bother her because I will soon get use to it and moreover I makes a new friend today who's so lovely and beautiful" she said

"Friend? Just like that? Is that how people makes friend, how I wish I also have a friend" I said soberly

"What are you saying? Am I your enemy? I'm your friend and also your lover, so don't think like that again, do you understand me?" she said lovely

No I don't say that, it's just that I miss my friends though we always call each other but you know it can't be like being together always and also I want you to be careful all time because if you want to leave this mansion alive you have to be strong. I said

"I promise you that I will always be careful and I'm grateful for caring for me" she said feeling delighted

Let me be going to my room to go and rest so that I can prepare for tomorrow chores

Why can't you just rest here,why are you going to your room? don't you want to sleep here with me? I asked her

"It's not that I don't want to sleep here but I don't want trouble Do you know that madam Lucy wanted to caught me this morning when I'm coming from your room? If not that I lied about going to the backyard maybe I would have been dismissed from the mansion but I want you to know that whenever I'm chance I will come here to sleep over"

"Okay, if you said so I will await your visit "I told her.
