CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

Anna's POV

Queen Anna is seen sitted on a couch in her room, staring at space and lost in thought.

As today is Monday, Terri is starting work today at the empire company and I also have to go there to inspect how everything is going on there.

It has been a while since I've been to the company, empire company has been in existence since the reigns of my grandmother, it has been going smoothly since then but I don't want to associate myself with the company that's why I appoint someone from my mother's relative who I trusted most to monitor the company on my behalf but since Daniel told me that there might be a mole in the company, and that I should be very cautious.

Well, I don't think that my manager can betray me, besides it's also his family business and I know that he can't betray me. Who would dare the Queen? I haven't seen the person who will like to try it.

Moreover, I will be going to the company regularly now because I want to examine how Terri will work and also supervise the company, and I know that my manager won't relent because of this.

I hope I'm not making the wrong decision by employing Terri to the company, what if he's the enemy that I should be cautious of? I don't want to assume that because the Terri I know will never do that to me. I don't think I can deserve something like that from him, he's a good person and so down to earth.

Since it's Monday already, let me quickly get ready for today's work. My maids who have already at the door, I told them to come inside so that they will prepare the bath and my clothes which I will wear to the company.

After some minutes, I was ready to go the company and one of maids bow and said to me "My Queen, I want to let you know that Sir Terri is at the door and he has been waiting for you outside" she said

I can see that he really wants this job, because if not how can he be here this early morning? I know I haven't make a wrong decision that's so good of him. I was so amused

"Let's him come inside, I also want to see him before we go to the company" I said to her

"Okay, my Queen" she said and left to call him

I really don't know he can be punctual on his first day and I know that if it wasn't me that offer him this job, he will have been to the company early

The door opens, the maid and Terri come inside one after the other. Terri look ravishing handsome in his wear and said to me "Good morning Queen Anna, How was your night my queen, I want to thank you for fulfilling your promises and for not letting me down and I promise you that I will never let you down, thank you so much for this rare opportunity that you gave me, I will never misuse it" he said appreciative

"You don't have to thank me, you have thank me enough and moreover it's for the atonement for whatever happens in the past.. I smiled and continue, I know that this job means a lot to you but I want you to know that you have to work very hard and face your work and be good to your colleagues, I hope you understand me and I should let you know that you looked handsome in your suit, it fitted you." I said to him

He blushes and smile" Thank you for the compliment my Queen and I promise you that I will abide by all that you have told me and I will follow up the rules and regulations of the company, you won't regret employing me to the company" he said

"That's nice for you to say, always good of good behavior and follow the instructions diligently" I said

"My Queen, I want to ask you a question and I will be glad if you don't mind me asking you" Terri said

"What is the question and I want you to be snappy about it, you won't want us to late on your first day at work?"i told him

" My Queen, what I want to ask you is about bella, I saw her yesterday working as a maid in the mansion and when I makes some enquiry about it, I was told madam Lucy appointed her and that can't happen if you don't give your permission and I was also told that she has been working since she came into the mansion weeks ago and which your highness didn't tell me about it" he said

I hope it's not what I'm thinking, how did he saw her yesterday because bella works in my residence throughout or is it that Lucy is giving her extra works to do inside the mansion or maybe they're back together again in my mansion, I won't allow that to happen here. I thought

"Oh, is that so? Truly she has been working for me in my residence because I don't have any work to give her except that for now and I also don't want her to just be in the mansion doing nothing so that's why I told Lucy to allow bella to assist her in the work of the mansion but as soon as there is good work, I will employ her. Is that clear? " I told him

" Yes, Queen Anna I understand everything you said and I will appreciate it if you could do that for her too " he said

" Alright I will do that and help me to tell her everything that I just told you and also if she can work responsibly as a maid will determine the work I will give her… Tell her that" I said to him

"I will relay your message to her, your majesty" Terri said

We can go to the company now.
