Chapter 97: Back to Where It All Started Part 2
Jonathan’s P.O.V.
I led Analina and Andros to my office, after each of us took our seats, I reached for my copies of their schedules even though they basically had the same tasks written. Thinking to myself: (I think I’ll change Analina’s schedule a little) I start scribbling down the take changes that I want to make, I then address them. “Ok, have you both looked over your schedules?” I asked them. “Yes.” They both answered. They both took out their schedules, as they did I grabbed a pen and handed it to Analina. “I made some changes on yours that I need to go over with you.
Analina, instead of you coming with us to the outdoor training grounds, I’m going to have you go to the gym and foresee the underground fighters.” She nodded her head at me as she changed that part of her schedule. “Everything else will stay the same. Andros you will still be coming with me to the outdoor training grounds, I will give you your own group to foresee.” He nods at me. As you can also notice on the schedule is that of your assigned bodyguards. Analina, Diego is assigned to you, and Enzo is assigned to Andros.” “Do either of you have any questions?” “No.” They answered in unison. “I’m not going to have you do anything major today so why don’t you both relax. Analina you can show Andros around more if you would like. Make yourselves at home, it will be yours one day. That is all.” I say and they get up and leave the office.
Rocco’s P.O.V.
I sat down across from Enzo and Diego in the lounge area. They both had their schedules in hand and looked up at me expectantly. “Alright,” I began, leaning forward slightly, “let’s go over what you two have for the week. Enzo, you’re assigned to Andros, and Diego, you’ll be with Analina. Your main duty as security personnel is to ensure their safety. That means shadowing them during their scheduled activities and always staying vigilant.”
Enzo nodded, his sharp features set with determination. “Understood. Anything specific to watch out for?” Good question,” I replied. “The outdoor training grounds can be unpredictable; Andros will be overseeing a group of trainees, so the environment might be chaotic. Always keep your eyes on him. Also, be mindful of group dynamics—sometimes tempers flare during training sessions.”
I turned to Diego. “As for you, Analina will be at the gym overseeing the underground fighters. That area comes with its own set of risks. The fighters can be intense, and there’s always a chance of minor disputes breaking out. Your job is to ensure none of those disputes escalate near her. “Diego gave a small, confident smile. “Got it. What about after their scheduled activities?”
“Both of you are expected to stay within proximity unless you’re explicitly dismissed. Enzo, Andros might explore more of the grounds after his duties; stick close and give him space but remain alert. Diego, Analina may want some time to herself or might choose to show Andros around. Adapt to whatever scenario arises.”
“Anything else we should be aware of?” Enzo asked, his tone steady. “Not for now,” I said, standing up. “Just perform your roles with the professionalism I know you're both capable of. If anything comes up, report to me at once.” I paused, my gaze shifting between the two of them. “This is a unique environment for them, and they’re stepping into important roles. Your support is crucial.”
They both stood as well, their postures reflecting the discipline they carried. “Understood,” they said in unison. “Good. That’s all for now. You’re dismissed.” I watched them leave the lounge, already mentally preparing themselves for the tasks ahead.
After their meetings, the four of them meet up outside the office door. “Where to?” Diego asks. “I want to show Andros more of the gardens.” Analina says to them both. They both nod their heads. “Ok, lead the way.” Enzo says. She walks with Andros while having their arms linked together and takes him over to one of her favorite spots. It is a stone path with lavender growing on both sides of the path. At the end of the path there is a small table with two chairs and sitting in the middle of the table is a vase of lavender flowers beautifully arranged. They sit down across from each other.
“Would you like something to drink?” Analina asks Andros. “How about some iced tea.” “You know that sounds good, ok.” She says as she has Diego call in their orders to the kitchen staff. A little while later a server comes out with their drinks and a plate of pastries. The server put a glass of iced tea in front of them with a small plate and cloth napkins, the plate of pastries were placed in between them. They grabbed their cloth napkins and placed it on their laps, after they each chose a pastry from the large plate in between them.
Analina chose an eclair, and Andros chose an apple turnover. They ate their pastries as Diego and Enzo watched over them from the entrance. “Now will you tell me what happened between you and my father in that alcove?” Andros asked Analina knowing that he may not like the answer to his question. “That is where me and Andre had sex for the first time.” She shyly answered his question. “I thought it might be something like that.” He told her. After that they sat there quietly eating pastries and drinking iced tea.
As the last crumbs of their pastries vanished and the iced tea glasses sat empty, Analina glanced up at Andros with a soft smile. “Shall we?” she asked, her voice carrying a hint of reluctance to leave the tranquil spot. Andros nodded, his gaze lingering on the lavender-lined path as if committing the scene to memory. They both rose from their seats, Analina carefully gathering her napkin and placing it back on the table, while Andros adjusted his jacket. Diego and Enzo, ever watchful, straightened their postures at the garden entrance, ready to escort them.
As Analina linked her arm through Andros’s once more, she turned toward the two guards. “Let’s head to the main hall. I think Andros should see the gallery next,” she said decisively, her tone firm but warm. Andros offered her a sidelong glance, curious to explore another piece of her world. Together, they walked back down the stone path, the faint scent of lavender following them as the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows over the garden. Diego and Enzo trailed behind, their presence silent yet reassuring.
The group reached the main hall, its towering arched entrance gleaming with intricate carvings and a palpable sense of history. Analina paused to point out various details to Andros, her enthusiasm breaking through her earlier shyness. He listened intently, his posture relaxed but his mind alert, absorbing her words and the grandeur of their surroundings.
With her arm still linked in his, Analina led him toward the gallery, her steps quickening with excitement. Behind them, Diego and Enzo exchanged a glance, silently acknowledging the ease between the two. Whatever task lay ahead, it was clear Analina and Andros were beginning to find their rhythm in this unfamiliar yet inviting world.
