Chapter 96: Back to Where It All Started
Chapter 96: Back to Where It All Started
Analina’s P.O.V.
After we were shown to our wing Andros and I started to unpack our luggage. We went to our assigned closets and dressers and filled them with our clothes; we then took our bath essentials and placed them in the bathroom. We looked at each other as we stood in the middle of the washroom. “Ready for this?” He asked me while holding my hand. “Ready.” I answered. We exited the wing and headed downstairs to meet everyone else for lunch. (I think we are ready for this part of our adventure.
As we sat there waiting for our food Jonahan breaks the silence. “After lunch I will have you meet the members of my mafia, then I will give you a tour of the house and grounds. After we will have a meeting about the schedule that Rocco and I passed out in the car. If you have any questions about anything at all you can ask them during the meetings.” We all nodded as the kitchen staff brought out our lunch.
After lunch, Jonahan led us out of the house and onto the expansive training grounds. The open field was alive with activity—a blend of precision, discipline, and raw, formidable energy. Members of the mafia were sparring, practicing their aim at the shooting range, and running drills that made it clear why they were considered some of the most dangerous individuals in the world.
"Andros, Analina," Jonahan began, gesturing to the group as they paused their activities to turn toward us. "Meet the heart of this operation—the people who ensure that every plan is executed flawlessly. These are our fighters, our strategists, and our protectors."
A tall man with sharp, calculating eyes stepped forward, his presence commanding attention. Jonahan introduced him as Matteo, the head of combat training. "If you ever find yourself in need of brushing up your skills, Matteo is the one to seek," Jonahan said, his tone carrying both respect and authority.
Next came a woman named Elara, whose gaze was as piercing as her reputation. She was the master of intelligence and planning, the one who ensured that every move was mapped out with precision. Her nod was curt but not unfriendly. One by one, Jonahan introduced us to the key members, each with their own unique role and skill set. As the introductions concluded, Jonahan turned to us with a faint smile. "You'll see that everything here is a well-oiled machine. But remember, loyalty is our foundation. We protect each other like family."
Andros and I exchanged a glance, silently acknowledging the gravity of the world we were stepping into. The training grounds were both intimidating and exhilarating, a stark reminder of the dangerous yet fascinating path we had chosen to follow. Jonahan’s voice broke through our thoughts. "Now, let me show you what these grounds can truly do. Matteo, set up a sparring demonstration." And with that, the world around us came alive once more, the air crackling with the energy of a force we would soon come to understand.
As he mock fighting seized a burly man that I remember all too well came over to us. “Hi I’m Brison.” He introduced himself while giving me a death glare. “Still sour?” I asked him. “Of course, it’s not every day that I get beaten especially by a little girl.” He answered my question with venom in his voice. “When you speak to her you will show respect, she is going to your boss at some point.” Andros declared. “Who do you think you are talking to me like that?” He yelled at Andros disrespectfully. “Her fiancé.” He spoke.
“Isn’t it to early to announce that?” Rocco turned his attention to Andros. “No, why would you say that when you know this is what John has decided for us?” Andros asked Rocco. “Ok, that’s enough of this childish behavior.” Jonathan scolded them. “I want a rematch after you give birth.” Brison demanded as he walked away with his friends following him. “You beat that asshole, my angel?” Andros asked me amused. “Yes, the first time that I was here. He’s the best fighter Jonathan has for his underground fighting organization.” I explained to him. We than left the training grounds to begin the tour.
Jonathan led us back into the house, his steps purposeful as he gestured toward the sprawling hallways that branched into various rooms. The first stop was the main living area, an expanse of elegant yet understated decor with plush seating and walls adorned with art pieces that reflected a blend of tradition and modernity. "This is where the family gathers," Jonathan explained. "Whether for casual conversations or urgent meetings, this space has witnessed more plans and decisions than you can imagine."
We continued through the corridor until we reached a set of double doors that opened into the gym. The room was impressive, outfitted with ultramodern equipment that catered to every conceivable form of training. Jonathan walked us through rows of treadmills, weight machines, and sparring mats, pausing to highlight the specialized corner for martial arts practice. "This gym serves as more than just a place for physical conditioning," he said. "It's where discipline meets strategy, and where trust is built among the team."
Andros examined the equipment with interest, his fingers brushing against the cool metal of a punching bag. I glanced around, taking in the atmosphere of determination that seemed to linger in the air. Members of the team trained here, their focus unwavering as they pushed their limits and honed their skills. Jonathan pointed to another section of the gym, where a glass wall framed a private room equipped with machines designed for rehabilitation and recovery. "This space is reserved for those who need to heal, whether from injuries sustained in the field or from personal battles." His tone softened slightly, revealing the care and thought behind the operation's setup.
Before leaving, Jonathan gestured to a small wall-mounted rack filled with logs and charts. "Every session is documented here. It's part of ensuring improvement and accountability—a principle we value deeply. “The gym was the embodiment of the house's ethos—strength, precision, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. As we stepped out of the room, the sound of determined effort faded behind us, replaced by the quiet hum of anticipation for what lay ahead in the tour. At the end of the tour Jonathan brought us to the gardens, he even showed us the alcove with the man-made pond and concrete bench. “Analina, I know you have already been here with Andre, Pablo and Zanders.” Jonathan said reminding me of what took place here with Andre as a blush formed on my face.
“You're blushing My angel, what are you thinking about?” He asked as if he knew that it had to do with his father. “I’ll tell you later, not here.” I said to him ducking my head down so he can’t see my face. He just nodded understanding that it something that I didn’t want everybody to know. We left the gardens and went back into the house. “Ok, Analina and Andros, we will have our meeting in my office, Rocco will take Enzo and Diego into his office for their meeting.” Jonathan explained our next task to the four of us.
