Chapter 91: Moving Forward
Chapter 91: Moving Forward
Two Days Later
As everyone sat down at the dining table waiting to be served their breakfast John took this time to pass out and go over everyone’s schedule. “Ok, let us start with Andros. You and Diego will go to the office, Jonathan and Mariann will be in later. Analina, I got your final report from your online school, so your mother and I will accompany you to meet with the principal and see about scheduling your final exam. The guards that will be coming with us will be Rodrick, Stavros and Enzo. Jonathan will be guarded by Maverick and Rocco. I want no trouble.” He said looking over at Andros. After breakfast they all got up from their seats and went to their designated locations.
Analina followed by Enzo made her way to the waiting car with her parents. In the driver’s seat is Rodrick, the front passenger seat is Stavros and in the back seats are Analina, her parents and Enzo. They make it over to high school and they all got out of the car with Enzo Rodrick and Stavros following close behind Analina and her parents. Arriving at the administration office John went up to the receptionist desk. “We are here to see the principal.” “Your name please.” “John Stratton.” “One moment please.” She picked up the receiver of the office phone and she then spoke into it. “Mr. Roland, John Stratton is here to see you.” Ok, send him in.” “You may go in.” “Thank you.” John said to the receptionist. “Come on.” He said to his wife and daughter.
They walked in with their guards in tow and John addressed the principal. “Hello Mr. Roland.” “Mr. Stratton. I take it this has more than just handing in a weekly report?” He asked John. “Yes, here is the report and you will notice that it also includes in writing that will be the final report.” “Oh, ok.” He scans over the report and afterwards puts it in a folder leaving it open he then speaks. “Ok, your grades look good. Congratulations on completing the online classes. Let me see when I have a teacher free to give you the final exam.” “Ok.” She said. He types something into the computer and with his hand on the computer mouse he clicks and looks over the screen he says. “There is a teacher free on Monday at noon. Does that work for you.” “Yes. I’ll be there. She says to the principal. “I’ll contact the teacher and schedule your exam with her. Good luck Miss Stratton.” “Thank you.” With that being finished the six of them exits the building.
They headed to the car taking the same seats that they had on the way to the school. “How about we stop for lunch?” John asks the group. “Sounds good.” They all replied. John reaches into his pocket to get his phone, scrolling the contacts he than press the screen. “Hi Trisha, I would like to make reservations for six in my private dining area.” “Yes Mr. Stratton, I’ll have the room ready for you. What time will be arriving?” “We are on our way now.” “Ok sir. I take care of that now for you.’” He hangs up the phone and speaking to Rodrick he tells him where to go.
They park in the owners parking space and get out of the car. Rodrick, Stavros and Enzo trailed behind the three family members as they enter the restaurant. ‘Hello Mr. Stratton, your private dining room is ready for your party.” “Thank you.” “I’ll have a waiter be with you with your menus.” She said to him as they walked by her. They entered the restricted area and took their seats as they waited for the waiter to arrive. As they wait John looks over at Enzo and Analina. “On Monday Enzo, you will go with Analina to her exam, right after I want the both of you to come to the company. Peanut I want you to start training under your mother, just as you will with Mariann once you arrive at your brother’s.
” This will help you familiarize yourself with the operations and expectations before you take on more responsibilities,” John added, his tone firm yet encouraging. Analina nodded, understanding the weight of her father’s words. “I won’t let you down,” she replied confidently. Their conversation was interrupted as the waiter arrived, placing neatly bound menus before each of them. The hum of soft classical music played in the background as the family and their guards began to choose their meals. Enzo, seated quietly, kept a watchful eye on the surroundings, his posture relaxed but alert.
Midway through their meal, John’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen, sighed, and excused himself from the table. “I’ll be right back,” he said, stepping into the corner of the room to take the call. It was a brief conversation, but his expression shifted from calm to concerned.
Returning to the table, he addressed his wife and daughter first. “I’ve just received word about a situation at the office that requires my immediate attention. I'll need you all to continue with the plans without me for the rest of the day. Diego and Andros will be on-site, but I must ensure this issue is handled discreetly.”
His wife, noting the tension in his voice, reached out to place a reassuring hand on his. “We’ll manage, John. Go take care of what you need to. Analina is safe.”
John nodded, grateful for her understanding, and then glanced at Enzo and the other guards. “Security stays the top priority. Keep them safe.” With that, John excused himself from the dining area, leaving the rest of the group to finish their lunch. The atmosphere remained lighthearted as they continued talking about the upcoming exam and Analina’s transition into the company. However, beneath the surface, everyone was aware of the unspoken challenges their family faced, and the strength needed to confront them together.

Jonathan takes out his phone from his suit jacket pocket and starts typing, he than looks over at me. “Analina just got dropped off at home, dad is on his way back so Me and Mariann is going to take off now, bro.” “Ok, thanks for your help.” “No problem, anytime.” He says to me as he walks out the door. After he leaves I look over the document again for the afternoon meeting, pleases with it and the added input that I wrote down I put it back into the folder and take out the proposal from the design team from another folder. (This could have been written better, I think I’ll go over to the design department and help them out with this.)
