Chapter 17 Captain Bryan's house is under attack!
"What? Are you mad? No! No! There's no way I'm staying with you! I don't want to! I'm sure this is just a ploy of yours! There's no way all that is in the contract, is there? Don't tell me you're just trying to trick me!" exclaimed Jennifer, crossing her arms in front of her chest to show her disapproval of Alpha Gerald's plan.
"Whatever! What do I gain by tricking you? Remember, you still owe me! Because I paid for the damages to Adrian Dixon's car that you crashed into! So you could say I'm just protecting my assets, right? What if you run away again? Who will reimburse me, huh? Because it seems like you're an expert at that!" Gerald almost laughed at his own words, but he held it back with all his strength.
His face looked serious this time. For Alpha Gerald, 10 or 15 billion was small change! But he knew that Adrian had lied to Jennifer because the replacement cost was not that much.

After that, there was no more argument between the two. Throughout the journey, they remained silent.
Occasionally, an annoyed Jennifer glanced at Gerald, who was casually sleeping beside her.

“What are you doing? Get away! I’m not looking at you!” Jennifer tried to push Gerald’s sturdy body away.
“Hahaha... look! Your face is turning red again! Like a tomato!”
Gerald laughed, but instead of moving away, he moved even closer. Gerald's gaze softened, and Jennifer's heart began to race.
"I... I don't..." Jennifer held her cheeks, trying to hide her embarrassment.
Gerald suddenly fell silent. He was about to kiss Jennifer again when he was startled by John's shout.
John turned around and closed his eyes, "Forgive me, Alpha, I mean Mr. William and Mrs. Ross! We've arrived! But it seems... we'd better get out and see for ourselves!"
"What do you mean..." Gerald didn't finish his sentence, turning to the front and gasping in surprise. Jennifer took advantage of the opportunity to push him. Then Jennifer turned around and was about to get out of the door.

“JENNY!! Wait for me!!” Gerald chased after Jennifer.
The front garden of Captain Bryan's house was in disarray, and in front of it were several people who appeared to be injured, and it seemed that they were from Alpha Gerald's pack.
"Alpha, forgive us for not being able to protect your pups! We-we..." Alpha Gerald stopped him with a hand signal.

With large strides, Gerald entered Captain Bryan’s residence.
