Chapter 55

Ash did not stop to argue, instead, he swam right after a disappointed Tonsil. He ignored every look of disapproval she was showing.

When they had swum a good distance away, Tonsil stopped swimming in front of him, blocking his path, "what was any of that madness about? What was the point? What was it all for? Why did you even ask me to take you along if you didn't even have to hear what she wanted to say?" She snapped at him, ignoring the passers-by that were spiked with obvious curiosity as they stared at the two.

"You think I wanted in on any of this?" Ash clenched his fists by his side, "I'm stronger than any of you seem to think, that's the problem. You think I need your help. As soon as she is with me, nobody, not a soul, a tonner, a bingsol, whatever other foolish creature, not one will have it in their power to take her from me, I assure you."

"That's not the point! Yes, you might protect her from the evil holds of the Bingsols, but you cannot stop her powers from setting off, they will be too much for her to handle, we need to make the control potions for her and keep her here for as long as we can."

"I know she will do just fine! She is a strong woman and has handled worse life situations. You think having fire powers is something she can't take in? You need help." Ash had had it with these people. Who knew if they were even on his side in the first place?

"It's harder than you think! Especially when she is carrying a living soul inside of her. I haven't seen my queen this angered before, and unwilling to assist further, whatever happens is all your fault, Ash, I promise you."

"What do you mean by a living soul?" Ash frowned, swimming around her twice.

"Ugh." Tonsil sighed in realization. It was too late to change her words now. "Your wife is pregnant Ash. You foolish man. You had been intimate when you were trapped in that blank world and before you had the chance to perform your routine preventive method, one of you vanished from the world, remember?" She shrugged.

"What?!" Ash gasped, recollecting the events from that night when Myan was supposed to be a sacrifice for Yugi, but they had suddenly appeared in a plain white space. Truly, they had released into each other, how had he never thought of that?

"It's been so long, how did you even know that? Not only do you people stalk my wife and me, but you have also chosen to invade our private lives, and I have had it. Do just as your queen has ordered and take us where the Bingsols have taken my wife.”

"As your Lordship pleases,” she spat out mockingly, but did as she was told.

They continued the rest of their journey in silence.

The Bingsols cave was out of the stream, but it was not far. Ash and Tonsil had gone back to their human forms and while Tonsil took careful steps to avoid being heard, Ash took aggressive ones, charging in with clenched fists.

Tonsil wished she would have been given a different assignment.

“Who is there?” A Bingsol from within bellowed, perturbed by the intrusion, something they barely ever had to deal with.

Tonsil rolled her eyes and took a stone from her pocket. She raised it in front of her so when the Bingsol saw it, he fell unconscious immediately.

“What did you do to him?” Ash wondered, staring at the stone like it was some dangerous item.

“It is my power stone, with a man without a plan like yourself, this is a necessary item. It won’t last long, and it can’t take down many of them, so we have to hurry up,” she said and kept moving.

He only grunted in response and followed after her.

They walked like they knew where they were headed but the route was just a straight path with no need to branch.

"They are so stupid." Ash groaned when he saw how openly they had tied Myan to a stick with two supposed guards sleeping beside her.

"Quick, stay here for any unexpected Bingsol…I will untie her." He was trying to be silent to avoid waking the Bingsols. He would not mind shedding blood, but this was making things easier for him anyways.

"Myan,” he called, pain laced in his voice as he untied his wife. She was still unconscious and looked so tattered, he wanted to kill whoever had done this to her but first, he had to take her back home and ensure she was doing fine.

The cave was illuminated by small stones that looked like they were fireflies. Other than that, it was empty.

They turned around to leave and everything would have gone perfectly if one of the Bingsols coming from the other side of the cave had not yelled on the top of his voice, "hey! They are escaping with the sacrifice!"

His small announcement stirred loud screams from the other end and the cave began to shake in its root, whether from the effect of the loud stomps coming from afar, a sign that multiple creatures were running at once, or from the loud shrieks that followed their speed.

"What's happening?" A frightened Tonsil swallowed.

"Here." He tossed Myan to her. "Hold her no matter what, and do not let her go,” he warned. "I will deal with these things myself.

Tonsil swallowed but nodded in obedience. She held Myan and ran out of there, leaving Ash to his fate.

That went down in history as the day the most Bingsols were killed. Ash took the lives of over five hundred of them in his Aeu form, not stopping for once or feeling affected by their attacks.

One would think things went back to normal, but it was far from it.
