Chapter 33

The next morning I felt 100 times better than I did the night before. I couldn't believe that my heat came on while I was here with him. But I guess it has to do with the fact that he and I had sex for the first time the day before. I turned over and faced Shane. He looked so peaceful. I gently rubbed my hand on his face. As he started to stir I smiled. I don't think I have ever felt this happy. I mean I was more than happy with Gram. But being with Shane is a different kind of happiness.

“Good morning my Queen.”

Shane spoke even before he opened his eyes.

“Morning..Sorry about yesterday… I was not aware that my heat would be coming that soon.”

When he finally opened them he gave me a big smile before saying,

“Please there is nothing that you need to be sorry for. We are mates and fully mated at that now. And trust me… I am more than honored to be the one to help you through it. I was the one that was able to ease your pain.”

“That's true..”

“Are you hungry?”

“I am actually”

“Are you still in pain?”

“Yeah there is still some pain there but it is manageable.”

“I think that we need to make an appointment for you to go and see the OBGYN so that you can get put on the pill..”

“Why?”

“Well, I have heard that it helps with your heat. And also so we can have more time for it to be just the 2 of us. I want to hold off a bit before we have pups.”

“I agree with you 100%”

“Good, I was hoping that you would. I didn't want to upset you.”

“Today we get to bring Gram here.”

“I am excited to finally have her here and I know you are too.”

“You have no Idea.”

“I can imagine.”

“Do you think that we can swing by her place first? I think it would be a good idea to pick Ramiro up. He has been watching her place long enough. Plus I want to grab some more things.”

“Absolutely. Did you still want to stay in that other pack house?”

“I don't know yet… Can I give you an answer later?”

“You sure can. And please know that there is no pressure. If that is where you want to stay that is fine with me. I want you to be comfortable.”

“Thank you, Shane. It means a lot to hear you say that.”

“Anything for you my love. Alright now that is settled, let's get dressed and go and put some food in us. Then we will head to your place and grab what you need and then we will go and get Gram.”

“I am so excited to see her and bring her here.”

“I know you are babe. Honestly, I am too.”

I haven't had much to wear since coming here. The only thing I had right now that was clean was my work outfit. So I decided to put it on and just change when it got to Grams. And this time I was going to make sure that I grabbed enough things to bring back with me.

“Babe I have a bunch of duffle bags and some suitcases that we can take with us. I don't think you will be able to fit all of your and Gram’s clothes, but it will fit a lot.”

“Thanks, Shane, I also have some things at her house that we can use to put stuff in. If you don't mind helping me when we get there.”

“I would be honored to help you, my love.”

“Also I am going to need to put a sign up on the shop's door.. It won't be in for a few weeks. I am going to tell them that I am going on vacation so they don't worry.”

“I think that is a good idea.”

After getting dressed Shane and I headed to the kitchen where the chefs were busy getting breakfast ready for the pack.

“Good morning Kinga, Joseph.”

“Morning Alpha”

“Morning sir.”

When they turned around they were both in shock with their mouths hanging open. I know it was because I was standing with Shane's hand in hand.

“Kinga, Joseph, this is Sierra. She is my mate and your Luna.”

“Good Morning Luna.”

“Wow, you are beautiful Luna. It is nice to meet you.”

Joseph couldn't take his eyes off me and Shane gave him a warning growl. He immediately turned around and continued to do what he was doing.

“What is for breakfast?”

“Alpha we have pancakes, bacon, sausage and fruit prepared. The eggs are almost done and then it will be time to eat.”

“Is there anything specific that you would like us to make?”

“No, that all sounds good to me. Luna? Is there anything you want?”

“No, what you all are making is just fine.”

Kinga nodded her head and got back to what she was doing as well. Shane never letting go of my hand led me over to the table where we were going to be eating. A few of the pack members were already sitting there waiting patiently for breakfast to be served. This was going to be the first time that I sat here and ate with the pack.

This was such an experience and meant so much to eat with that pack. It made me feel like I belonged somewhere other than Gram’s and was something I will remember forever.

Breakfast was going so well until Claudia walked in. There were no seats available for her. Once she had gotten her plate she turned towards the table and smiled at Shane. Shane however didn't smile back at her. She walked right past us once he didn't smile back at her and took her plate to another table in the other room where other pack members were eating. I decided to link Shane.

“She seems pissed..”

“Most likely.”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Anything my love.”

“Did you and Claudia ever have a relationship?”

Shane was bringing his fork up to his mouth when he stopped in mid-movement and looked at me.

“Honestly. We had a relationship about 2 years ago. I ended it with her when I decided to not be with another wolf unless she was my mate. And that was when I started searching for you. “

“Oh”

Once we were done, Shane and I went over to one of the closets and he started to take out a few bags. Claudia came back into the kitchen to put her plate in the sink when she stopped right behind us.

“What are you doing Shane?”

I chuckled to myself. She was acting like I was not even standing there.

“Well if you must know, I am getting some things together to help Sierra bring some of her things here.”

“She’s moving in here already? You just met her?”

“Yes, she is moving in, not that it is any of your business. The fact that she and I have only known each other for a short while doesn't mean a thing. She is my mate and I love her.. “

“How can you love something like that?!”

I couldn't control myself when it came to her any longer. So I just turned around and charged her. I pushed her as hard as I could. She stumbled and then came back towards me. She wanted this as much as I did, so I punched her again. And then again. This time I knew that I broke her nose and her eye swelled up. I knew she was going to have a hard time seeing out of it.

“Keep us out of your mouth. You might have had Shane at one time. But you don't anymore.. And it is a little sleazy that you keep pushing yourself on him.. Makes you look cheap”

Shane stood there completely stunned. Claudia lay there on the floor holding her nose and eyes. Then out of nowhere, I shouted.

“Guards!”

4 guards rushed Shane and me.

“Take her away please.”

Without questions, they did exactly what I asked of them. I turned to Shane.

“She needs to learn. And maybe by spending some time in the cells, she will learn. If she doesn't, then I will ban her.”

All Shane did was nod, and then a huge smile appeared on his face.

“Sierra… you are amazing..”

I wasn't sure as to why he was saying that to me. But it made me smile. We went back to grabbing the duffle bags and suitcases. Once we got everything together he said to me.

“Are you ready to head out?”

I was beyond ready. So I nodded and gave him the biggest smile I could.
