Chapter Forty Nine: Blackmailed

I continued to stand; from where I was. Not moving an inch.

I was tired of all of this. It's like no matter how hard I try to be happy. In the end I always feel like shit.

I've been going through hell since I was sixteen. I'm fucking tired if it.

I just can't take it anymore; I wept.

I thought Liam would make me happy. But, I'm not. I'm not all.

I lower myself to sit on the stairs; not caring anymore of Liam or anyone saw me crying.

What should I do?, I thought; In getting away from all of this.

I couldn't find any solution other than death itself. I now was very tired of living. I wanted out of this world.  From all of this misery. I had to.

"Bang, Bang," I heard a knock at the door.

"Coming," I heard Julene, spoke loudly. As she ran to open the door.

"Afternoon," she greeted the persons; at the door.

I knew it was Paisley and her mom.

"Come in," Julene invited him.

I was surprised it was not only those germs, but also the germs of them all. Liam's mom.

As they came in; Julene was about to point them to the hall and inform me of their arrival. But she saw I was sitting on the step of the stairs.

She was frighten to see, that I was crying.

"Ms. Avery," she called me; as she was about to comfort me.

"Leave," the alpha's mom; stopped her.

Julene hurriedly went to the kitchen.

"I see you're very eager to see us and decided to sit and wait on us, on the stairs," Jennifer Payne, said as she smiled.

I glance at Paisley.  She was wearing a white, short, fluffy dress and a white, flat shoe. I hated seeing and how stupid she was. No matter what she does. She just could not accept the fact that Liam don't want her.

"Let talk in the living room," Jennifer said.

As she and her puppets walked towards the room.

I got up and meet her within the room; while she and the others sat awaiting for me.

"Sit," Jennifer instructed me

"I'll stand," I said.

"Do what ever you want, orphan," she described me.

My eyes widen in suprise hearing her said that. How did she knew I was an orphan, I worried.

I again glance at Paisley and her mom and saw them smiling.

"Don't be suspicious," I said within my mind.

Probably she described me in such way, because I'm alone and I have no where to go.

"What is it you want?" I asked her.

"Wow, Jennifer, said in surprise; turning to the side in looking at the other. Do you hear her? she inquired them. She believe she's the Luna so she now have confident to stand up to me."

"Ha, ha, ha," the three of them laughed.

Suddenly she lashed out at me.

"You'll never be apart of the dark shadow pack, she said to me angrily.

After all being the only survivor of the moon pack," you'll probably be sentence for death; if you're guilty.

I fell to the chair; hearing her said that. Lowering my head to the ground.

"Ha, ha, ha," I heard them laughed, again.

Jennifer came close to me; grab my chin and pushed my head towards her.

"How a weakling like you is the only survivor of such a powerful pack?, she inquired me. She held on tightly to my face. Why weren't you dead as well?, she aked inquired me again.  While her spit flew within my face.

I then started to cry.

"Shut up!" she shouted at me; while she slap me across my face.

"Don't leave any bruise," Eutis informed her.

"What happened to Liam brother?" she again asked me.

"Ah!....," I cried out; while spit escape from my mouth.

Jennifer pushed me aside; allowing me to fall from the couch. I was in.

"I dont know what you did or what had cause the death of the entire pack. All I know I want you the fuck out of her. Away from my son, this pack and the entire community," she warned me.

I removed myself from the floor, terrified.

They now knew, I was part of that pack, which will leave in serious trouble with Liam.

I had to leave here now.

I started to ran from the room.

Jennifer grabbed me by my hair and pulled me back; stopping me

"listen me, she said. I promise I won't tell Liam anyone of this only if you do what I'm going to tell you to," she said.

I turned around; staring at her. Of what she wanted me to do now.

I should have known. She would have created a plan like this.

She knew; if I just leave Liam will continue to look for me.

"I want you to leave within seven days, she said. During these days.  I want you to make my son, hate you. Which means do everything that makes you a mad mate. Do you here me bitch?!" She shouted at me.

I nodded, my head.

"Good," I heard Paisely said while she and her mom. Remove themself from the chair.

I then saw her took out something from her pocket and threw it to me.

I was shocked; seeing a picture of me my mom and her friend, Cynthia. It was taken two years ago. When Cynthia came to visit my mom.

"Where did you get this from?" I inquired her.

"It's a small world," she answered me.

I continued to stare at the picture while my tears fell on it; seeing the beautiful image of my mom.

I missed her so much.

"Coming?" Eutis inquired Jennifer.

"I'll be staying with my lovely daughter in law for dinner," she laughed. While they went off.

I sat there for minutes crying; staring at the picture. How I missed my family.

I wished my life was perfect then none of this wouldn't have happened.

"You make me sick," Jennifer cursed me; while she exit the room.

Being discovered as the only survivor of my pack. I was now in some serious shit. I didn't care what happened to me. I just didn't want to hurt Liam.

"My son," I heard Jennifer greeted the alpha.

I quickly wipe away my tears; knowing he was home.

"Where my Luna?" I heard him answered his mom.

"In the living room," she instructed him.

I quickly hide the picture and sat. As if nothing had happened.

I turned within the couch and saw him approaching me.

He came over to me and lower himself before me; on his knees.

"I'm sorry for what I've put you through today," I heard him apologized.

As I was about to say something. But,

I heard his mother came into the living room.

"Dinner is ready within the dining room?" she said; while she looked at me only.

"I need private time with my Luna," Liam said angrily at her.

She quickly leave the room.

Liam turned his head back to me and looked within my blue eyes.

"I'm sorry," he kept on apologizing.

I turned my head aside not having the heart to look at him; knowing I'll disappoint him soon.

"You didn’t have to kill her," I said softly.

"I didn't, he answered me. If you don't trust me. I'll carry you to see her now," he said.

"She knows nothing about my brother death nor was she a member of the moon pack," he explains.

My heart almost stop hearing him called my pack name.

I couldn't be next to him right now.

I just couldn't.

"I got to go," I moved myself away from him.

Liam held on to my hand.

I turned around and hit him across his face.

"Leave me the fuck alone!" I shouted at him.

I covered my mouth, terrified at what. I had done; running upstairs, in tears.

I hated what I had done; I wanted to hurt myself in doing so. But I had no choice in doing so. I had to be a bad mate; for I knew Liam will never forgive for his brother.

As I ran upstairs. I quickly entered the room we share and lock myself within his bathroom

I sat on the floor of the bathroom; while I cried.

"Avery," I heard him within the room.

He walked towards the bathroom door and started to spin the knob.

"Avery," he kept on calling me.

I cried even more; knowing we will never be happy together, because of my horrible past.

I was losing him.

Within seven days. I will never see him again.

I don't know how I'm going to live without him.
