Greta Avoiding Alexander
The next day Alexander went to the dining hall to talk to Greta, walking up to the food he looked over and saw only Carl and Minty. “Minty is Greta around?” he asked her over the hot food. “She was but I have no clue where the girl went, sorry Lord Alexander.”
Maybe she is in her room He thought to himself. As he walked to her room, he knocked on her door. Smelling her sweet scent. He thought for sure she was in there, but she never answered.
I feel like she is avoiding me, he thought to himself. I wonder if Simon did something yesterday that was inappropriate. As he went to his own room he kept trying to figure out if Greta was avoiding him or he just kept missing her.
Pushing the door open to his room Alexander saw Randy sitting in the side chair. “What are you doing in my room? Alexander asked. “Waiting for your ass, let’s go get a drink.” Randy asked him, leaning back with his hands behind his neck.
“I don’t feel like it, I get this feeling that Greta is avoiding me. I can’t find her and when I went to the dining hall Minty said she just left and didn’t know where she went.” Falling into his desk chair, putting his elbow on the desk and his face in his hand.
Randy decided to tease Alexander about Greta since he seemed concerned, she was avoiding him. “Did you do something bad to her the night before? Like maybe didn’t fuck her good enough?” Laughing he slapped his knee.
“We didn’t do any of that, so shut the fuck up Randy.” Alexander wasn’t in the mood to listen to his teasing about how inadequate with women he is. If anything, Randy’s probably the one that is inadequate from what he has heard but he wasn’t going to go there, he needed to find out why Greta is avoiding him.
“Okay my friend, when your ready to get that drink you know where Ill be.” Randy stood up and walked out shutting the door behind him.
Alexander sat in his chair in silence, Simon was being very quiet, knowing he was trying to find Greta. What did you do to her Simon? He asked him in his mind. Simon didn’t respond and he couldn’t feel him either.
Simon, I know you’re listening to me, what happened when you took control? Was there something I wasn’t aware of? Simon remained silent. “Whatever fine don’t speak to me, but I will find out she can’t hide forever on this ship.
Slamming his fist on his desk, a few of the papers flew on the floor. Pushing himself away from the desk, he stormed out on a mission to find her. H decided to start at the top and make his way to the bottom of the ship. He knew she liked to watch the sea, so he went there first. Walking up to the top deck, watching the deck hands take care of the ship, he asked a few if they saw her. No one has seen her since yesterday.
He took a good 30 minutes on the top deck, looking in all the rooms, asking around so it was time to move down a flight of stairs. On the next floor he checked all the rooms that were not private, trying to see if he could catch the scent of her, nothing. Moving on to the next floor.
He passed the small pub that was on the ship and saw Randy in there drinking by himself. Randy looked up and saw Alexander coming towards him. “No man, still haven’t seen her.” Raising his frothy mug to him he drank half of it. “Sure, you don’t want to join me?” Randy asked.
“Maybe one, really quick I could use a drink right now.” Alexander motioned to the bartender to bring a frothy mug of ale also. The bartender grabbed a glass, filled it, sat it down and with a quick flex of the wrist it slid down the smooth wooden bar table. It glided down the table and stopped in Alexanders hand that was splayed out to catch it.
Gripping the mug, he lifted it up and drank half of it. “Damn this is good, cold.” Alexander said to Randy. “yeap.” Randy responded by drinking the rest of his till it was empty. Trying to figure out where she was, he lifted the mug and drank the rest of it. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Alexander patted Randy on the back. “Gotta go, need to find her will catch up with you later.”
Randy motioned for another mug and nodded to Alexander.
Alexander walked out looking in the rest of the rooms for her. Down one more flight and he passed John’s old room. He saw light under the door. Maybe someone else has rented his room already.” He thought to himself as he walked closer to Greta’s room. Stopping at her door he knocked harder. Still no answer. He headed back into the kitchen to see if she was there now. Walking in he saw her finally. She was scrubbing some pots in soapy water.
Minty turned and looked towards Alexander. “Greta, Lord Alexander is back.” She yelled, raised her voice so Greta could hear her over all the noise. Greta stopped scrubbing the pot and looked at Minty, “Who is here Minty?” Minty moved her head in Alexander’s direction.
Greta glanced around till she saw Alexander standing in the doorway watching her. Greta dropped the pot then dried her hands. Smiling at Alexander, she walked over to him carefully since the floor was greasy and slippery.
Alexander was so relieved to see her, knowing she was safe. “I have been looking for you all over this ship.” He said sternly to her. Tipping her head to the side she looked at him like he was crazy. Why was he looking for her and why couldn’t he find her. It’s not like she has very many places to go.
