Who Murdered John

Greta was sitting on her bed, thinking about Alexander when she remembered that Alexander put John in the holding room after he saved her from John. Wanting to see what or who was still in the hold, maybe she could find a clue how John died. She walked to the hold, pushed the door open and saw dried bloodstains over the floor and walls of the room. The smell was horrible, even though she could tell someone tried to clean it.

Walking around and inspecting the blood, the way it was smeared on the floor and sprayed on the walls she wondered if this was John’s blood and if he was actually murdered.

Carl said he didn’t know how he died. But Alexander did drag him to this hold room then he ended up dying. Who would have killed him? She was sure he had plenty of enemies since he was such a drunken ass. Leaving the holding room, she wished she had known what happened to him.

Alexander requested his friend and subordinate Randy to bring his food up to him in his room. He decided to eat in his own room since he had a lot of paperwork to go over. Simon wanted to come out anyway, being on the ship he couldn’t let Simon come forward whenever he wanted or as much as he wanted. So once Randy left, he let Simon take the lead and out peaked his ears and his tail. Stretching, feels so good to be free Alexander, thanks for giving me this moment.

I know you needed to stretch and release your built-up anxiety. You don’t have long though Randy will be back soon. Alexander mentally told Simon.

Reid went to the kitchen and requested a plate of food for Lord Alexander.

“Give us a minute and we will have it ready for Lord Alexander.” Carl said to Randy. Randy went to sit on a stool next to the door and watched Greta cook. She looked over at him and smiled. She had seen him with Alexander before and wondered if they were friends.

“Hi, are you friends with Alexander?” Greta asked while she was flipping pancakes.

“Yes mam, I am friends with him. Do you know him?” Sitting on the stool with his elbows on his knees watching her. Looking at her beautiful face, he suspects her body is just as beautiful under that unflattering dress she is wearing.

“A little, I knew him when he would come and pray and the monastery. Noticing him looking at her she blushed, turning her head to hide it.

He laughed, “What? Alexander prayed? Are you sure you weren’t mistaken?” laughing, she smiled at his easy-going personality. Is he flirting with me? Greta asked herself, he kept looking at her body. She was starting to get uncomfortable. He was handsome but not quite as handsome as Alexander. Alexander was somewhat taller and muscular.

“Yes, he was very devout and always came at least once a month to pray.” She couldn’t help but laugh with him.

“Did he go in his armor?” He asked her, still watching her intently. Knowing he was making her uncomfortable.

Laughing “Yes, he would come to pray in his armor every time. Not many knights would come to pray but Alexander did.

“Why would the knights not go to pray at the monastery?” he asked her, starting to get more serious with his questions.

“Well, the sins of a knight are not forgivable because they tend to kill.” But I believe that a knight doesn’t just kill, they save, protect and help also.” She was telling him while holding her hand out while she spoke.

“Foods ready” Carl had two plates of food for Alexander, Randy jumped off the stool to grab one plate. “I can help you with those.” Greta said to Randy. “Minty, can you take over? I won’t be gone long.”

Minty shook her head and walked over to finish the pancakes. Greta wiped her hands off and took the other plate from Carl. She followed Randy up the stairs to Alexanders room. Randy didn’t bother to knock he just kicked the door open with his boot.

When the door opened, they saw a pair of furry, arc-shaped beast ears amidst Alexander’s dark hair. Alexander looked shocked at seeing Greta. Pushing back from his desk, he stood up quickly. Looking from Randy to Greta his ears pulled back suddenly then disappeared.

Alexander then ran his hands through his dark hair and scratched his head where his ears were just a second ago.

“At least knock dumbass.” Alexander was standing behind the desk; he was shirtless with a pair of sweats on.

“Sorry man, thought you wanted your food on the plate and not on the floor.” Randy stated as he sat the plates on the bedside table. “Next time I will absolutely knock and not barge in like I did. Greta came to help me bring the food so I wouldn’t drop a plate.

Greta just stood there staring at Alexander, she didn’t know what to say. She saw ears that matched the tail she saw. She was in a daze again, just staring without moving her eyes.

After Randy put the plates down, he walked up to Greta and shook her a little bit. “Hey, snap out of it, are you okay girl?” Finally, she moved her eyes from Alexander to Randy.

Shaking her head “yeah I think so.” Her eyes traveled over his muscular tanned chest down to the waist of his sweatpants. That man is built and apparently, he has leopard ears and a tail hidden somewhere on the t perfect body.

“Good, I was getting worried about you Greta.” Greta slowly smiled at Randy, “it’s fine I should be used to seeing strange things by now.”

Sitting back down at his desk, Alexander straightened up his papers that moved out of order when he suddenly stood up when they entered without notice.
