Chapter 96 End This War.
Chapter 96 End This War.
Lily’s pov.
“Aspin, and Wren,” Raya whispers as she stares at her newborn sons.
“They're beautiful,” I say with a huge smile on my face as I play with my Maddox.
Little smiles on his face as I tickle his tiny feet.
Juniper, Mazikeen and Athena are peacefully sleeping beside us.
“Are you going out there soon?” Raya asks skeptically, looking at me before she looks back down at her boys.
“Yes,” I breathe out, “I have to help them.”
“Get Alex here, we’ll all take care of them,” she tells me with a promise in her eyes.
“I’ll stay with them as well," Eric says while placing a hand on my shoulder and squeezing it gently.
I take one last look at all of my children before taking a deep breath.
“Okay,” I whisper as I place Maddox back down beside his sisters, “they need mommy my littles… I’ll be back as soon as I can with your daddy.”
I place a kiss on all of their foreheads before looking at everyone in the room one last time.
“I trust you’ll all do what it takes to protect these fledglings. They are our legacy, our future… you’ll protect them with your lives,” I say while looking each of them in the eyes.
“You don’t have to tell us twice, little flower,” Eric replies.
“Go,” Raya says as I turn my head to look at her one last time, “win this war.”
I nod my head once before leaving without looking back.
Because…
If I do, I’m scared I won’t be able to leave my children behind.
I run through the tribe house, my feet barely touching the ground.
‘Faster, go faster,’ Sapphire growls into my mind.
My control over her slipping, along with my magic.
I shake my head as I continue to run, trying to shake her off.
Sapphire only gets angrier, pushing even harder at the border of my control.
Just as I burst through the front doors, my control on Sapphire snaps.
Letting her take control of our body.
Sapphires pov.
I finally have control over my human’s form.
The pain I had to cause her still lingers in my mind.
My fledglings left behind.
I growl loudly as my feet carry us towards my mate, his scent strong in the air.
I try to keep my mind off of my fledglings but their tiny faces keep bursting into my head, making it almost impossible.
Our magic vibrates under our skin, ready to take on anyone.
I basically fly through the forest, moving so fast my feet barely touch the ground.
Just as I make it to the border I see a massive demonic looking man beating the ever daylights out of my mate.
Something inside of me snaps at the sight.
An ear piercing scream tears out of my throat.
And my purple flames take over my body.
My feet float off of the ground as my hands conjure a massive purple fireball.
Without thinking, I throw it directly at the demon scum that’s attacking my mate.
He stops assaulting Creed as he looks in my direction.
My fireball hits him, sending his flying along with his battle axe on the ground, sending it farther away from him.
I float closer to them, feeling my flames getting bigger.
“Did you really think you could win this war?” I ask darkly, Lily’s vocal colds straining from my voice.
“Who the hell are you?” The demon asks with a clenched jaw.
“I’m your worst nightmare,” I growl out before using my magic to get in front of him.
His eyes widened slightly as I appeared directly in front of him.
Without giving him the chance to react I let my claws out, slashing his across the chest with both hands.
He screams out in pain as blood spurts from his chest.
“A female dragon!” He yells angrily, “how did I not know about you!”
I laugh darkly as I create two fire balls in my hands.
“You’ll die today, right now. No need to worry about who I am,” I reply darkly, my anger feeding into my magic.
He grunts before running at me fast, swinging his right arm at me.
I smile right before I teleport behind him, making him stumble onto the ground.
I get on top of him, just as he did to Creed.
I punch him as hard as I can.
Left, right, left, right.
Not stopping even after his face morphs into a puddle of blood.
“Midnight,” I growl, turning to look at her, “grab your sword and finish him off!”
She looks down at the demon with a frown on her face.
“I- can’t you finish him off?” She stutters, looking at me in the eyes, “he’s… my father.”
“Does it look like I care?” I hiss, holding the demon down as he tries to get up.
Midnight's eyes widened at my words, not expecting me to be so harsh.
“Lily?” She asks as she gets off of the ground.
“No,” I whisper, looking into the demon's eyes, chuckling at the terrified look in his eyes, “it’s Sapphire.”
Midnight gaps as she clutches her sword tightly, “Sapphire… your her dragon?” She says curiously, looking me up and down.
“Enough talking!” I snap, needing this war to be over so I can get back to my fledglings, “kill him! I need to get back to my babies!”
“Oh my goddess, I’m sorry! I forgot!” She rushes out as she holds her sword up, looking at the demon's face.
“Please, Midnight. Don’t do this,” he rasps out, choking on his own blood.
“I will have no mercy on you,” she says quietly, closing her eyes so she doesn’t have to see the pain in his, “where was the mercy on me? On these innocent people?”
The demon closes his eyes, accepting his fate.
“Do it,” I say through clenched teeth, holding him down tightly.
Midnight clenches her jaw as she brings the sword down on his head, severing it from his body.
